The unit is thoughtfully appointed for families, with the first bedroom featuring a queen bed and a private ensuite bathroom for added convenience. Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a last minute trip booking, I received our rental agreement about 1:30 on Friday. We arrived late, after midnight on the same day, only to find our door code didn't work because our reservation had been canceled. It took over an hour to get someone to correct that so we could get in so we sat in the parking lot until well after 1 am, after a 8 hour drive. I spent the first day of our trip calling about our required parking pass and armbands since they weren't left in the unit, we finally received them on the 2nd day of our 4 day trip. There was no internet router in the unit so we didn't have internet. The condo itself is older and the beds are super uncomfortable. Towels were new with Walmart tags on them, but not washed. Getting someone to call you back about a problem is super difficult, administratively the trip was a disaster. On the plus side, When I did get in touch with someone they were very nice, quick to take ownsfership of the mistake and apologetic about canceling our reservation and the problems that followed. I requested one night of our stay be refunded and they quickly agreed, along with leaving $20 Publix gift card in the unit for us. As of today, 5 days later, I still haven't seen the refund hit my account. With the quality of the condo and the problems that go along with it, I would not stay with this company again.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived, the unit had not been cleaned. Dirty sheets on the bed, towels in washer unwashed. Sand all over everything. The management was responsive and sent somebody out but it was still dark before we could unpack. The building we stayed in required wristbands but we were told that they were not needed multiple times. They were needed. The HOA president hunter us down and gave us some. The gate was locked that leads to the beach, this is a good thing except when you don't have the code. After waiting for several hours for a phone call back about the code I went to the office and was told there wasn't a code but they would check on it. I was quickly relayed the code by txt. Overall a nice condo with a great view. Management seems to be in a state of transition from another company

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We liked Moondrifter Beachfront Condos. They were very nice and helpful. They were working hard at improving and updating the property. The location was nice. But, we were disappointed with Moondrifter 703. First off the place was cleaned. 703 was decorated differently from the internet photos. The pic of the view from the balcony actually showed an abandoned nightclub. The living room furniture was old and needed updating. The couch and loveseat were blue. The chairs in the bedroom needed also. Photos showed white towels and sheets with nice bedding. We had brown old towels and Walmart mismatched sheets and bedding. No dish towels or cloths. The toilets were real old very small low. The bathroom vents hardly worked. The stove had a broken burner and a oven that didn’t heat. We got a new stove BUT only after many many calls and two repairmen ONE WEEK later. The dishwasher should be replaced next. Does a bad job of cleaning and has a small leak. The BAD part is the front bedroom smelled very musty because it had mold on the walls and ceiling. The closest was so bad you would not want to use it. And, we had guests who had to use it for one week having to keep the door open and the window with the fan running. Luckily they didn’t have an allergy to mold. Owners need to do some work in this condo. Also, needs painting.

Only giving a star to write a review

This property as a whole is one strong gust of wind away from crumbling. Dirty. Elevators do take forever and you may or may not make it to your floor. THIS PARTICULAR UNIT- garbage. Property manager/host answered every message with a generic response. No dryer. But it’s okay because she assured us that “these things happen”. So packing light for a beach trip was fun. Came home in dirty clothing. The floors were absolutely disgusting. No broom. You didn’t need to go down to the beach- it was already in this unit. Someone came and dropped off a new broom and some towels (no dryer) but unfortunately, we can’t wear towels to leave the condo for the evening. The bedrooms are connected. One room has a bathroom in it and the other bathroom is in the front of unit by kitchen and pretty far away from second bedroom. Bunk bed situation was cool if your kids enjoy sleeping in a closet. No ventilation and no air to the bunks. The bathtub in the master still has mold on walls and shower curtain. Still mold in second bathroom. Basically anything that this host has said was “taken care of” was not and will not be. The bed in master was literal junk. Mattress hangs off the end by about 7 inches and it’s like sleeping on a bag of rocks. There was sand IN THE BED and the dryer doesn’t work so I can only guess that sheets weren’t changed before our check in. Anyone who rated this unit with more than one star, I’m just going to assume has very LOW standards. The list could go on and on. The host will probably reply to this telling me that “we tried to rectify these issues” NO. They did not. And I can assure you that absolutely nothing will be taken care of. I read the bad reviews and good reviews before booking. Hoping things were taken care of, I booked this unit. Don’t make the same mistake I did. The problems I listed and others listed will still be a problem when someone else checks in. I’ve paid much less for a lot more. This rental company and this property manager/host really should reevaluate what they consider clean and actually FIX THE PROBLEM. Don’t expect any compensation or reimbursement, they’re making bank on scamming people.

Everything was perfect the condo was very clean and homey. Beach access was good and not to mention the ice cream shop and pizza shop right in front of us with a convenient store right across the road.

Getaway

Overall we enjoyed our stay. We loved being on the beach and the people around us were helpful and friendly. The shower curtain was pretty gross and the floor was not super clean (made for super dirty feet). BUT, the beds were very comfortable and the view was great! The only think I really think needs to be addressed is a safe way to climb into the bunk beds. The "ladder" is on the inside of the nook and unaccessible. We had to move a chair to the hall to help the teen get up there and it was not very stable. But, the kids actually loved their "nook." Overall, we enjoyed it.

Nice enough

We definitely expected our condo to be free of mold. While it wasn’t absolutely disgusting, I didn’t feel that it had been kept up. This was a little upsetting due to the cost, but overall everyone had a good time. We just had to tiptoe a bit. Super close to the ocean, boardwalk, and pool which was great!

Exactly as described

Loved the location and the beach access is wonderful. Didn't feel like we had to walk a mile to get to the beach. The condo is nice alittle outdated, but overall satisfied our needs. I wished it had a table on balcony, so we could have enjoyed meals, board games outside.

convenient place

I reserved this place to allow overflow from my unit. Later another came available at my building. I tried to cancel a month before but was unable to. I let friends stay there and it saved them a lot of money. The rates for last weekend had skrocketed. The unit was good. Clean and near my condo.

This property was okay, other than location nothing was good.

We stayed at this property for a week. I have given it 3 stars only for the location and easy access to the beach. The bedrooms were dusty and there was sand on bed the day we checked in. Bathrooms are not clean. One of the bedrooms did not have light or window,. It just had a bedside lamp which was filled with dust. Bunk beds for kids was located in the tiniest area with no ventilation, no air circulation, and no light. Kids hated it. Not going back to this property.

Room not cleaned when we arrived and couldn't get ahold of anyone untill the next morning.

We booked our stay a few weeks before our trip and decided we would leave on a Wednesday night and arrive early in the morning even though check-in was 4pm the day before. We arrived around 4am in hopes to get a nap then enjoy the beach later on that day. When arriving to our room we had a door code to get in because the front lobby was closed due to our arrival being so late. We get to our room and all the beds have been slept in and dirty towels were everywhere, and it was clear that the room hadn't been cleaned. I tried to get ahold of the front desk but no emergency number was listed so I then had to get ahold of the owner who I did not hear back from for several hours. The cleaners arrived later that morning and we left to allow them to clean, when we arrived back the room was clean but the whole condo had no running water. After the cleaners had left we noticed they hadn't left a parking pass which we had paid for when booking the condo as well as no armbands for the beach and pool area. We were then told we would have to go to another location to pick them up. After that we had a good rest of the trip until check out when we were doing a final sweep of the condo (about 15min before we were supposed to be out) to make sure nothing was left behind and the cleaning people walked in no knock or anything just opened the door. I understand it's not the owners fault and she gave us our money back for the one night, but that wasn't until after I had to ask for it.

I hate to be a Karen but...

The property had mold in showers and on shower curtains. Property manager was quick to respond. When she dropped a new shower liner off and bed sheets (bc they were dirty when we checked in), someone was in the shower, so she couldn't change it. I later went to change the liner out but shower rings were so moldy I didn't. I notified property manager who said she could come change it but never did. The biggest thing for me was the pool and what was pictured in the vrbo listing. There is no outside views of condo except for a small pool and then a picture of a condo with a large pool. Its assumed that was this condo... apparently not. Its the condo next door and they were giving us a view from when you walk up to the door.... ... not of the actual condo we are in. I did a mom trip with my kids... the pool was important to the trip based on the other mom I came with and myself didn't want to have to always lug everything to the beach and wanted a nice pool space. I felt lied too based on pics shown and hope this has been rectified for future renters. When I pointed this out to property manager, she initially defended the pic saying its a view pic. When I mentioned there are no statements stating its not the actual condo and there are no pics of outside of condo such as view from beach or street and so its assumed its a pic of condo... she never responded. In no way was any attempt made to make this right or even an apology. Its very disappointing. My kids kept talking about the nice pool our entire trip. So yeah... moldy bathrooms, sheets and misleading on what your condo amenities are... we will not be coming back. I have pics and would love to share them but this review link doesn't offer tham option. 🤷‍♀️

Beautiful View

Great condo that overlooks Club La Vela, the pool, and the beach. Although some things could be a little updated here and there, I cannot complain as it is an overall beautiful condo! Very roomy and will definitely try to stay here again!
