Perfect alternative to a hotel when staying long or short term. We are dog people and enjoy taking them with us as well.
Near the downtown square and historic tour. This two bedroom and one bath charming home also has an extra converted patio room with an extra bed. This is a perfect fit for a weekend stay or longer if needed. There is a nice yard with a privacy fence. Pets welcome!
Property was very nice, location was good and everything needed was very accessible. Property accepted pets , we have 2 dogs. We would definately stay here again if we needed to. When we got there we had issues with the toilet in the bathroom and the owners came and fixed it right away .
Great little house in a quiet neighborhood. Nice little backyard for small dogs. Great communication with host. Easy check in and check out. Plan to visit this same location next time we are in town.
This is a lovely older home that is tucked away in a quiet area. The home is very close to a veritable plethora of restaurants, shopping and fun things to do and see. Nick and Janet are awesome hosts that were very accommodating if there was anything we needed.
I brought my elderly parents to Texas for my nieceâs college graduation. The bungalow on Oak St. was perfect for our stay. The house is older but it was clean and cozy for our two nights. My parents were able to bring their dogs. The fenced in backyard was great. We felt comfortable and safe. The only things Iâll mention is:
1. opening the back gate was a challenge at first. It has to be pulled open from the top. That took us a few minutes to figure out.
2. A mirror in each bedroom would be helpful since there is only one bathroom. We had to get creative with 3 adults getting ready for the day.
Otherwise, it was a very nice stay and if we ever need to be back in that area, we would use this location again. Janet was responsive to emails but did not overwhelm me with pre-check in emails (I've had that happen before). I gave the overall rating 4 stars (for the record, to me 5 means perfect and nothing is perfect). If I could have given 4.5 stars I would have. I would recommend this VRBO to friends.
Old part of town with an old, small home. Water pressure is very minimal, taking ages to get a glass of water. The parking is a challenge in the driveway as itâs difficult to turn around and narrow, and not wise to back on the busy street. The two twin beds are odd. My sheets didnât fit, causing me to make the bed 3 times a night, and thereâs no plug ins for the electric bed. The other person in my party opted to sleep on the sofa instead of her twin bed because of the bed and room being hot (no fan). The air conditioning worked very well in the main part of the house, not the back room. The cleaning was basicâŠ. With the tub needing a good scrub. No soap, shampoo⊠or dish rag so bring your own. Fairly close to town which was convenient. Two chairs and breakfast table on the front porch is nice. The tv was a challenge to operate, instructions needed. Overall, this house worked but Iâd seek other options in the future.
We really enjoyed staying at this quaint, charming home. Our visit was to watch our granddaughter graduate from Weatherford High. So, although we didn't spend a lot of time at the house, it was great knowing we had a lovely place to go to.
Not overly impressed. Not as clean as it could have been. Not enough wash cloths. Poor water pressure in kitchen. Light cover fell off the ceiling light and shattered while we were eating. However, it served its purpose and provided us a place to stay when so many others were already booked. No problems with owner and door entries were easy to work with.
The house was quaint. Very cute and comfortable. I would suggest you install an outside light in the backyard. Also, more 3 prong plugs. All in all we were very comfortable. Thank you.
