Lovely Pet Friendly Studio on Quiet Culdesac w/Fast WiFi
Enjoy a stay and this stylish and cozy apartment in a quiet neighborhood in Palo Alto. The apartment is located between downtown and midtown on a tree lined culdesac. Parking is plentiful and you will enjoy peaceful walks around the neighborhood.
Was perfect for a long-term stay as I was at Stanford. About 3 miles which I did on a bike. My only complaint was the heat...the heating unit was not working and hadn't been working in the fall according to other reviews. They did provide space heaters but that was not ideal during winter. The owners say they are fixing, but suggest confirming if coming during cold weather. Otherwise, great choice for one or perhaps two persons.
Found the property to be clean and very quite. Comfortable for the short stay.
Just a few suggestions: the AC is noisy; perhaps install an electronic keypad for front door; install an easier access through the gate.
Thank you for making our otherwise stay in Palo Alto frustration free!
It was awesome to have a place to stay in a quiet neighborhood. The studio is very well thoughtout and has all of the essentials. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a clean quiet spot to stay while in town.
The place is satisfactory enough, but it does need some maintenance. In the kitchen there was some uncapped electrical wirings, the split HVAC made a terrible noise, the lights in the bathroom flickered, and there was mold in the jets in the tub. The shower pressure was very low. There are three skylights which let in a lot of morning sun. Lastly, the owners carâs alarm went off twice in the middle of the night. On the positives, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking and nice size refrigerator for the place. There was lots of hot water. It was also very close to Stanford.
Room was comfortable and clean. Kitchen was well appointed, but a dishwasher would be a nice addition. The bathroom was acceptable but the ceiling fans with heaters tripped a breaker while we were there which killed the bathroom lights. The bathroom lighting needs an upgrade. The shower wand was broken and was not adjustable. I went to a local hardware big-box store and purchased a multi-spray wand so my wife could take a shower. Consider that my contribution to the cause. The bed was comfortable. The location is close to Stanford, shopping, churches, and other points of interest while being in a pleasantly quiet neighborhood. I agree with other commenters that an electronic keypad entry would enhance security, and an upgraded gate entry would be helpful for guests of all sizes. A better door threshold gasket would help keep bugs out. We killed multiple silverfish during our stay. Also suggested: A visible smoke/carbon monoxide detector would be a good idea. The unit was a good value at a great location. A few upgrades would make this unit an even better place to stay.
