BURN BAN EFFECTIVE - Gillespie County Burn Ban is ON, effective October 14, 2025 at 5:00 PM.: Attached please find a local DECLARATION OF DISASTER & ORDER RESTRICTING OUTDOOR BURNING related to imminent threat of wildfires. Restrictions: NO open fires/burning and NO smoking.
As a result, outdoor wood-burning fire pits are NOT permitted. This mandate is enforced by the city and county and is beyond our control. You are welcome to use Gas fire pits and BBQ grills, if applicable. For charcoal grills, please leave all hot coals in the grill to cool completely, we will handle proper disposal. - This property is pet-friendly. There is a pet fee of $45 per pet/per night + taxes, and up to 2 pets max and 35 lbs max. Pet fee is not automatically included in the total, it's added after booking is confirmed. Yard is not fully fenced, please have dog on a leash if outside. There is wildlife on the other side of the property, please be cautious. Don't allow pet(s) near wildlife animals.
- Pest Control is scheduled quarterly. Due to the house being in the hill country, you will encounter critters. This is common even with pest control treatments. Since this property is on the edge of vast farmland, you may see an occasional bug and/or critter.
- Please Note: The homeowners have a separate, detached garage apartment located on the property that they occasionally occupy during guest stays. To ensure privacy, the yard has been fenced for guest use. While on-site, the homeowners do not enter the main rental or access the private backyard space, and they make every effort to respect guest privacy at all times.
