This was our second stay at Blue Heron Hideaway, and it was just as incredible as we remembered. The location is fantastic, the home is beautifully designed, and everything is immaculately maintained. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

The house was absolutely beautiful! The pictures truly don’t do this property justice. The pool was amazing and stayed cool and refreshing, even with the hot weather. The lake view was incredible honestly, the best part of the property! The house is very spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely book this house again in the future. Highly recommend!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Blue Heron Hideaway. The host was very easy to contact and communicate with, and the house was just as amazing as it looks in the pictures. We loved how many spaces there were for our family to hang out (ages from 19-80), from the two dens to the deck to the poolside seating area, the fire pit, and the dock! Everything was in outstanding condition, and they kayaks (sit on top) and SUPs were in excellent condition. We enjoyed sitting outside all day and listening to music and relaxing to the amazing view. We LOVED this VRBO and will definitely plan to come again!

Perfect stay for our race team visiting VIR. Plenty of space for everyone and we really enjoyed cooking meals in the well equipped kitchen and spending time together at the large dining table and in the nice living room. It was December and snowing so we didn’t get to enjoy the lake or pool but the house stayed warm and cozy. Will stay again next time we’re at VIR, which was just 15-20 minutes away.

Wonderful three day lake stay

What an amazing property! The house was beautiful and had everything you could want and need! We enjoyed the pool and relaxing and swimming on the dock and lake. We are already planning our next trip back. The owners were so responsive and kind. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This home fit our needs perfectly, loved the interior decor, view of the lake and power plant. Smart TVs in every room we’re also fantastic. Already looking at additional dates to book!

The house was very clean, stocked with everything you could need, beds were comfortable, quiet location, great dock with water toys, and the pool was nice although I wish it were a little warmer. The owner was responsive and easy to communicate with at all times. A lovely home and great experience.

Wonderful Lake House!

We had a lovely stay at this home! The lake and pool were refreshing, the beds were comfortable, and the house was spacious. The water pressure of the showers could be a bit low when other things were running, such as the dish washer or another shower. We loved using the kayaks and the stand up paddle boards. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely return!

We had such a great time! The only thing we would have changed is the loft should have blinds and some curtains for privacy. With the sun coming in at the morning, people sleeping in the loft were awake early.

Clean property with a lot of features

We have rented many houses of the years and this property hands down was the cleanest property we ever visited. Alex the property manager was easy to contact and helped with anything we needed and was very flexible. I absolutely loved the dock area and pool. We used the speakers outside for music to create our own oasis. The house has many areas to hang out and worked well for big family dinners.

Exactly as listed and great!

We really enjoyed our time at this home. It’s exactly as listed. We spent most of our time down at the dock, fishing, swimming, kayaking, and relaxing. The beds were comfortable and the house has every thing you need for a long stay. There is a neighbor that likes to run an air compressor in the evening when people sit down at the fire pit but we turned on some music and didn’t get it bother us. We would absolutely stay here again!

A piece of Heaven!

Wow, what a wonderful location, view, and home! We were even more surprised in person, how beautiful things were! Alex is amazing to work with - very thorough and timely with information! The house is very well stocked (even both kitchens), the beds are comfortable, and the home is even more spacious than we thought from pictures. The pool is perfect for a hot day, and the lake (fully stocked with floats, paddle boards, and kayaks) was both fun and relaxing! We would just hop back and forth between the 2 all day! Would definitely recommend, and hope to stay here again ourselves!

This beach gang had to regroup because of young adult jobs snd locations. This was sheer perfection including the weather! We may now be lake people. The space has everything you need and is comfortable and fresh. The water floats , kayaks and boards were amazing. Seriously I’m trying to figure when we can come back. Everything was perfect!! Thanks for sharing your space!!

Check in easy and seamless. Door code on a timer and opened promptly at 4:00 check in. Kitchen facilities were great and we really used both refrigerator/freezers and their ice makers. Definitely an advantage having two ice makers. We utilized the kayaks but were not aware that the paddle boards did not exist as listed. It would be nice to add a canoe or other small boat to the amenities so that we could take advantage of the lake with our children.

Our family of eight, including two toddlers, had an amazing time gathering at the Blue Herron Hideaway! The host has gone to great detail to be sure that our family had all the basics we needed for a clean comfortable stay. All areas of the house were relaxing. From the dock, to the plunge pool, to the fire pit, to the family room, to the game room; we all found a place to enjoy each day in order to create our family memories this year.
