We just spent a 50th birthday retreat for my hubby with our closest friends and couples and had a fantastic time!
The location is private and peaceful, the view is stunning, the ambience, decor and details all lovely.
A very serene vibe and fun gathering place. We made some incredible lifetime memories and will absolutely book again.
Milagros (I may not be spelling her name properly) the housekeeper is a darling.
Quick tips, bring your own coffee and grocery shop before getting to the house for more variety and fresher food but local markets are handy and fun casual restaurants and beaches very close by
This is an Aruba Paradise!
Unique home on the quiet side of the island with lizards, butterflies, a crab friend, and an amazing, gorgeous outdoor space. We enjoyed being able to run to beaches and trails, get to Arikok easily, walk around the town to see the murals and get snacks, visit Saveneta for mangroves, snorkeling, and dining. Saw donkeys, dogs, pigs, chickens, a (road kill) snake on the drive over. The house itself is insane! Perfect for chilling out and staying put. Well appointed and designed, amazing outdoor lighting and features. We enjoyed reading more about the mining and oil refinery history of the island and the complex relationship between leisure travel and local life⊠it was a nice change in surroundings/contrast from the low rise Eagle Beach setting and my kids saw and learned many new things.

The villa is nestled in a quiet, picturesque oceanfront location in San Nicolas, Arubaâs âSunrise City.â
In the heart of Arubaâs second largest city are a quaint promenade on Zeppenfeldstraat, art murals, some shops, snack shops, restaurants and bars, and historic buildings of architectural interest. The metal maze of the refinery dominates the landscape, and in its heyday, when the oil business was thriving, San Nicolas was the place to be.
San Nicolas has plenty to offer tourists looking for authentic Caribbean flair and flavor: Beautiful beaches and island charm far removed from the glitz and glamour of the Palm Beach resorts and sparkling new shopping centers.
The town is normally a little on the quiet side but full of unique charm with fun things to do and see. San Nicolas boasts a long history of steel bands, calypso music, and exuberant carnivals, first introduced by refinery workers from Trinidad and the English islands.
For years, one of the main reasons that visitors have found their way to this end of the island has been to drop in at Charlie's Bar. This bar has been famous since the 1940s when scuba divers began hanging their underwater discoveries on the walls. It has become a bit of a museum in the decades since. San Nicolas is part of our tourist destination. The shopping and restaurant areas on the main street have been renovated to reflect the city's history when seamen worldwide took shore leave to enjoy the local hospitality.
As well as cultural and culinary activities, San Nicolas also boasts beautiful beaches. Bring your family to enjoy the calm waters of Baby Beach, explore the hidden gem of Rodger's Beach, or go kitesurfing at Boca Grandi!
