Welcome to our gorgeous Mid-Century retreat! This quiet, completely private, spacious oasis with sweeping mountain views awaits your arrival!

City of Palm Springs ID# 2437.

This sleekly renovated post and beam home was designed by the famous mid-century architects Palmer & Krisel and built by the Alexander Construction Company in 1958.

We need to point out that this is a house for grown ups. If you're looking for a house to party in, this is not the right rental for you. We take great care of our home and expect that our guests do likewise. The City of Palm Springs has very strict rules for vacation rental properties and we abide by all of them:

• Palm Springs noise ordinance is STRICTLY ENFORCED.
• Music cannot be played outside in vacation rental properties at any time. (This includes playing music inside the house that can be heard outside.) The first infringement is a $500 fine and will result in immediate eviction with no refunds. Mandated by the City of Palm Springs.
• No rentals to anyone under 25 years of age. Mandated by the City of Palm Springs.
• No more than 4 vehicles can be parked at the house at any time. Mandated by the City of Palm Springs. $500 fine.
• Maximum overnight guests: 8. Maximum daytime guests: 12. Mandated by the City of Palm Springs and strictly enforced.
• Overnight occupancy is limited to the number of guests specified on the rental agreement.
• BREAKING ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES, WHETHER YOU RECEIVE A CITATION OR NOT, WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EVICTION WITH NO REFUNDS.
• Vacation Property Rental Agreement must be completed and signed and government issued ID provided prior to occupancy. Mandated by the City of Palm Springs.
• Upon arrival, all guests must sign acknowledgement of the Palm Springs Good Neighbor brochure. Mandated by the City of Palm Springs.
• This is a non-smoking rental.
• There is no child safety fence around the pool but per California law, all doors leading to the backyard include a safety chime.
• For safety and security, the front yard, the pool equipment area and the rear garage door are monitored by CCTV. We respect your privacy and DO NOT have any cameras inside the house.
• Guests are encouraged to purchase “cancel for any reason travel insurance” to cover any unforeseen circumstance that may result in a cancellation.

About the space:

Outdoors you'll be in awe of the gorgeous mountain views. A large swimming pool and hot tub are located in a generous backyard with outdoor dining, natural gas BBQ grill, fire pit and tons of pool toys making it perfect for the Palm Springs outdoor lifestyle. Gaze upon the impressive mountains by day and the stars in the evening!

Inside you'll find this luxurious and extremely spacious home meets all your needs with plenty of room to relax and unwind with family and friends. This entire resort-style home has been remodeled and reflects the modernist vibe that its heritage has earned with a large TV/family room that looks out to the stunning entryway courtyard and the open plan living room, dining room and kitchen that opens directly onto the pool deck.

A Rich History:

The home is the former residence of pioneering female film producer, Harriet Parsons, daughter of the famous Hollywood gossip columnist, Louella Parsons, who also resided here in her later years. Among Harriet's more notable films are ''I Remember Mama'' (1948); ''Enchanted Cottage'' (1945); ''Clash By Night'' (1952); ''Never A Dull Moment (1952), and ''Susan Slept Here'' (1954). Before becoming a movie producer, Harriet Parsons was a screen and magazine writer. She had her own radio program, ''Hollywood Highlights,'' in 1938.

3 night minimum for all holiday weekends. 4 night minimum for Coachella. (Weekly rental rate does not apply during Thanksgiving, Christmas or Coachella).

4 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queen, 1 double). All mattresses are new with luxurious 600 thread count cotton sheets, hypoallergenic pillows & comforters. Primary Bedroom includes 55" Samsung 4K QLED Smart TV.

2 bathrooms (both with walk-in spa showers, main bathroom with dual sinks).

Central air & heat. The home also features large dual-pane Low-E glass to ensure a more comfortable climate experience.

TV Room: 50" Samsung QLED Smart TV with free cable, HBO, Netflix plus high-speed wireless internet.

Gas fireplace. Fully loaded kitchen, island breakfast bar, formal dining for 6, and off kitchen minibar.

Whirlpool Duet Washer & dryer (full size).

Large, private, enclosed backyard with 32' x 16' pool, outdoor chaises, chairs & tables, plus SPECTACULAR mountain views!

Webber natural gas BBQ grill with 3 burners.

Lush garden area with fruit trees and outdoor gas fire pit for gazing at the stars at night.

Stocked with all essentials including plenty of pool toys and board games.

Circular driveway with private and spacious 2 vehicle garage.

Seamless check-in and friendly responsive staff of many years to ensure a beyond pleasurable stay.

RATES:
• All stays under 28 nights are subject to the City of Palm Springs Occupancy Tax (TOT) of 11.5% and the TBID assessment of 1%.
• Rates are higher for holidays & special events. Please inquire before booking.
• Weekly rates do not apply during special events/holidays e.g. Coachella, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year.
• Holiday weekends: 3 night minimum.
• Coachella: 4 night minimum.
• Optional pool heating available at $70 per day (2 day minimum).
• Dog fee: $100 PER DOG (plus 12.5% tax). Please write to me first telling me about your dog before making a reservation.
• Monthly guests: Stays of 28 nights or more pay actual utility charges (gas & electricity). Monthly guests are also required to have a mid-month cleaning.

COMMITMENT TO OUR GUESTS:
- This property is cleaned in accordance with the guidelines published by the Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals (VRHP) for safely disinfecting a short term rental property.

PARKING: By law, only 4 vehicles total can park on this property (this includes street parking). License plate numbers for each vehicle will be required at check-in.
Other things to note
- Stays of 27 nights or less are subject to City of Palm Springs Transient Occupancy Tax of 11.5% and 1% TBID.

Below are the City of Palm Springs Vacation Rental Ordinance rules.

PLEASE NOTE - Breaking any of these rules will result in a $500 fine from the City and immediate eviction with no refunds.

- No outdoor music is allowed at any time. This includes any music, at any volume, on any device including a cell phone, plus indoor music which can be outside.

- Responsible party (YOU) must be at least 25 years of age to rent this property and sign the rental agreement.

- Maximum overnight occupancy is 8 people. Maximum daytime occupancy is 12 people.

- The City of Palm Springs requires that we obtain a photo of your government issued ID (drivers' license or passport) plus a list of all people staying at the property including the number of cars and their license plate numbers.

- Pool heat is available for $70 per day with a two day minimum. This is a direct cost to us with no mark up. We highly recommend pool heat from October - April.

- This home is not childproof or pet-proof, inside or out. The pool does not have a child safety fence.

- Reservations of 28 nights or more require a utility deposit and bi-weekly cleaning service. Utilities are charged based on actual usage.

- BBQ has a natural gas hardline. An extra cleaning charge may be added if the BBQ is left with excessive grease.

- Holiday and special event rates may be higher.

- Coachella and some holiday weekends require a 4-night minimum.

LIABILITY WAIVER:
- By making your reservation you and the other members in your party as THE GUESTS agree to release THE HOSTS from all liability, including financial responsibility, relating to injuries & personal property damage that may occur during your stay. You also understand that using the pool is at your own risk. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising while on the property and hold owners harmless.

Awesome Home for a Getaway in Palm Springs
We loved our stay and were very pleased with every element of the house. The house manager, Maryline, was so welcoming and greeted us at the house to walk through all the features (pool, hot tub, fireplace + fire pit, air conditioning, etc) and was responsive to small questions throughout our stay. The house itself is very well appointed - comfortable bedding, all the kitchen + bar items you could need, fun games + books. The pool is amazing and worth the $$ to have it heated. They also have several pool floats, which was a nice surprise. The neighborhood is also perfect - just a 5 minute drive to downtown but far enough away to be super quiet. The only thing we didn't love was that the second bathroom is quite small. There were only 4 of us staying, so it was fine. But if you had 8 - 10 guests (which can fit comfortably for sleeping) it would be tight on the bathroom side. Otherwise, this was a 10/10 stay. The house is gorgeous and it's location is perfect. Highly recommend!

Spacious home in a peaceful neighborhood
We rented the house for 3 days recently to celebrate my mom's birthday. There were six adults all together and then we had more people over for lunch and dinner. Beautiful backyard with a great pool. Ample backyard furniture and plenty of places to move around to either be in the Sun or stay out of it. Beautiful big kitchen with everything you could have needed. TV room is quite large and it was also a nice sitting area. The property is very Bright and located in a great neighborhood. About 5 minutes from the airport but nice and peaceful. Located next to a nature reserve. A lot of modernistic Palm Springs homes. Any questions were answered while ahead of time and getting into the property was seamless. Had a great stay. Would definitely definitely rent this house again!

Beautiful property - would book again
The house, location, and yard are all great! There is plenty of privacy to the property and the house itself is well appointed and spacious. Great layout for a group. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook multiple meals. The kitchen, dining, and main living area all have good views to the backyard and pool. The pool is sizable and the hot tub is lovely. We requested to have the pool heated for our December stay, and it was well worth the charge. The kids were in it for hours each day and the hot tub heated quickly when we wanted to use it. The fire pit and grassy areas were very nice, as well. Our group was two families, and we had plenty of room to spread out in the house. The tv room is more spacious than it appears in the photos, and it is a great lounge area. My only slight criticism is I would add one more king bed if it would fit in one of the secondary rooms. The master bedroom is lovely with the king, and would be nice to have one more large bed. The property managers, Francine and Maryline, were very helpful leading up to and during our stay. They provided a lot of info in the home manual and an emailed welcome packet. We would definitely book this property again!
