I loved everything about this property and Emily, thehost. The neighborhood was absolutely charming, the cottage was adorable and had all of the amenities I needed, plus more like the hot tub and fire pit that I did not have time to use but looked wonderful!
I couldn't have asked for a better setting and location. Very quiet neighborhood and cozy cottage feel completed the perfect visit to the Bay area. It was walking distance to family, the Farmer's Market and multiple dinners and shopping on Lincoln Ave. I will definitely book again when returning to the Willow Glen/San Jose are.
No private entry. Contact owner. Owner lets you in. No private yard. All communal, not allowed to use or have anyone over if you wanted to invite someone to the spa or for a meeting count that out. Backyard is NOT like the photos anyway. It is falling apart, things were left laying around ,there is a Rottweiler. I was going to have my friend there from the hospital-couldnât do that. I added a day so that I could have a work meeting on Monday -couldnât have them there for that either. When we discussed canceling the rest of the stay since it was not meeting my needs they refused and kept all of my money. When we went to talk to them they avoided us completely then lied on the app in the conversation to say that they were up front when they 100% were not. Not good people. .
The Willow Glen Hideaway Property was nice, neat, comfortable, quiet and had character! Making these overall accommodations a pleasant stay! Located in the heart of down town; walking distance to several quaint shops, as well as a few adequate restaurants to fine dine in! Unfortunately, our quick trip did not allow us to indulge in any of the surrounding facilities, aside from Starbucks. With regards to our host Elaine, she was kind, courteous and very attentive to us (her guests), as I am sure she is with all her guests that come to stay! The only downfall that was out of sort; the shower head in our guest bathroom was very bad with regards to the direction the water came out! Making it a challenge to get rinsed off adequately! Once replaced, I would highly recommend this property as a pleasant getaway for ALL!
This was a Valentines getaway for me and my husband for two nights⊠We were surprised to find when we got there and went to a late lunch early dinner that we were not gonna be able to access our room until after 6 PM due to us having to âmeet Titan âthe Rottweiler check-in says 4 PM we were notified via text at 4:11 that the lady who would give us access was leaving at 4:45 and would not return until 6 PM I asked is there not an access code for us to access the cottage as has always been the case whenever Iâve stayed in a VRBO and she said no, but we need to introduce you to Titan⊠I stated âI have to pass by a Rottweiler to get into my cottage and to leave?â to which I was told yes, and that was made clear in the booking⊠Nowhere in the booking does it say anything about a Rottweiler or any dog being around⊠I am a dog lover, but not knowing a dog and having it being a Rottweiler I was a little unsure of the situation⊠We sat in our car and waited for the lady to arrive to introduce us to titan. Everything seemed fine until we had to walk back out to the car at which point the dog growled at both of us two different times. We were told that we were supposed to say âboundaries âto the dog, and he would retreat. Needless to say it did not invoke an environment to sit outside and have your coffee or read a book, as stated in the advertising not to mention the patio chairs were filthy, and didnât look like they had been sat in for months, so that was not even an option
