Ceci est votre chance de rester dans une propriété très spéciale qui est à seulement quelques minutes des délices de Hershey (25 minutes), l'histoire de Gettysburg (40 minutes) / Harrisburg (15 minutes), et Lancaster (50 minutes), ou l'été ou pour le plaisir d'hiver de ski Round Top (de 15 minutes).

Le "Wright Retraite" est une maison qui a été conçu en 1963 par un élève de Frank Lloyd Wright. La maison est située sur une belle 7 acres de terrain boisé à l'extrémité d'une longue allée quart de mile. Détendez-vous sur la grande terrasse arrière à 2 niveaux, donnant sur la superficie et la piscine boisé, et profiter seulement les sons et les curiosités de la grande variété d'oiseaux (y compris les faucons et les aigles), des cerfs et un renard occasionnelle, ou organiser un événement (mariage , retraite) pour la famille et les amis.

Les aspects uniques de ce seul niveau, 4200 pieds carrés à domicile comprennent un grand coin cheminée dans le salon (l'une des caractéristiques de signature de Frank Lloyd Wright), une petite cheminée dans la suite de la chambre principale et un poêle à bois dans la salle familiale; intégré dans des canapés et des étagères dans le grand salon ouvert et dans la salle familiale, adjacente à la cuisine; construits dans les bureaux, les planteurs et commodes abondent dans toute la maison; et puits de lumière dans la cuisine et salle de bains principale d'améliorer l'accueil chaleureux de la maison. 1. Il ya une grande piscine creusée, qui ne sont pas clôturé, et sera ouvert du week-end du Memorial Day à travers le week-end la fête du Travail. Tous les locataires seront tenus de signer une décharge de responsabilité pour eux-mêmes et leurs enfants mineurs / clients.

Unique home in peaceful setting

We really enjoyed our weekend at this home! Plenty of space and well stocked. The outdoor space and pool was perfect for relaxing. Michael the property manager was very helpful and responsive. Would love to stay again!

Quiet setting great vibes

House was great. Loved the vibe of the architecture and the kids had a great time in pool. Kitchen was well stocked, extra beach towels and plenty of books to read were nice perks to a little family getaway.

A wonderfully relaxing family vacation

We picked this house based on logistics. We are scattered around the country and wanted to minimize plane fares. We also wanted a house with a pool and one that allowed dogs. But this house FAR exceeded our minimal expectations. What an honor to stay in a house designed by one of Frank Lloyd Wright's students, especially because we have made an effort to visit various Wright houses open to the public. The highlight for us was definitely the wonderful pool and we were lucky to have perfect weather. But the house, which is comfortable in every way, would have kept us relaxed and entertained in rainy weather also. We at almost all of our meals at the house and it was more than adequately equipped. The bed arrangement, with a semi-private room for two of our daughters, was ideal. We would definitely come back.

We had a great stay at this beautiful house. We really enjoyed the pool too! The house was clean, cozy and overall just a fun place to stay. Michael, the host, was quick to communicate, was super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

A great trip back to the 60s

This is a fantastic property, it’s a time capsule of early 60s. The house is really just amazing architecturally, the back patio and pool area are serene. We felt the owner communicated very well and was flexible, overall a great experience.

Hidden Mechanicsburg Gem

The 'Wright' Retreat was clean, well stocked, and very private. It is close to various Harrisburg/Hershey/Gettysburg attractions but the in-ground pool was a bigger hit with the kids. We spent a couple of days just enjoying the pool. Michael was easy to work with and responsive to all messages and inquiries.

Absolutely relaxing environment! All you need to bring is your swim suit and personal care, everything else is provided even towels for the pool. The kitchen is overly supplied with all equipment. A very lovely getaway. Thanks Micheal for everything....

Large communal spaces, great outdoors and nice pool

Overall the property is as listed. It has a lot of the owner’s belongings in it and it is clear that this place was lived in for a long time. As a result, the house is a bit tired in places. It had a few bulbs out here and there, and had a smell of mothballs along the main corridor but nothing major. For a family getaway, it’s perfect. Great pool (with box of toys/floats) and outdoor area surrounded by peaceful woods, and a firepit. Inside, the kitchen is well-equipped and there are 3 communal rooms. Lots of old games in the cupboards and books galore. Great bedroom for kids, with an ace bunkbed. Showers (wetrooms) are amazing. Great laundry facilities and 2 x fridges so perfect to stock up. Shops very nearby ranging from groceries to Starbucks to CVS. Farm shops are a must - Paulus has great outdoor area for kids, with animals, play place and sand pit. In sum, really nice spot. Perhaps could do with a once over to make it 5 stars and also worth refreshing the listing photos to show off everything. Nevertheless, great spot and we really enjoyed our stay

Unique property

We were looking for a dog-friendly house with a pool to disconnect for a few days and this definitely fit the bill. It's a unique layout and the 6 of us had plenty of room to spread out. The host was very responsive whenever we needed to contact him. I love to cook and the house had a surprisingly well-stocked kitchen - even though the area is secluded there is a Giant 5 minutes down the road so it was easy enough to pop out for groceries and supplies. The only improvement I can think of is the house could use a deep clean at the end of the season. Totally get it's an older property (we live in one too!) but there were a lot of cobwebs in corners and the windows could use a wipe down.

The Wright House was the right house for us.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving reunion with family at this house and enjoyed getting to see Frank Lloyd Wright-esque architecture from the inside. Michael, the property manager, was very responsive to our questions and to our needs.

Enjoyable family trip

We had a great time staying on the property with my wife, daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons. We were out touring the area daily and it was a pleasure coming back to relax in the afternoons and evening. Certainly plenty of space to unwind. Michael as the property manager was fantastic and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The minor renovations inside and out that were in progress did leave some dust, but certainly did not detract from our trip. Look forward to staying again if and when we return to the area!

Tournament weekend

Mike was very responsive when we needed to speak with him. He was also respectful of our privacy as guests. This property is very unique and we found it to be an experience to remember.

Unique and special space filled with amazing architecture, peaceful grounds, and a kitty!

We enjoyed a long weekend at the Wright retreat with our adult daughters and significant others. We have visited a few of Frank Lloyd Wright’s properties, so it was such a thrill to stay in a house with so much of his influence. Michael was very easy to deal with and responsive to our questions. He met us at the property, walked us around, pointed out and quirks and important details. We were lucky to have some very warm weather and spent a good deal of time relaxing in the lovely pool! We did go to Hersheypark one evening, which was very fun! The rest of the time we cooked, read, and really spread out! There are enough spaces to carve out alone time, and a large table for meals and games! The beds were very, very comfortable and there were enough amenities to keep everyone happy!

Amazing property!

We were in town for a basketball tournament for our daughter. We were lucky enough to stay in this house last year as well. The property was beautiful and serene in addition to being centrally located to the tournament venue. The house is charming and eclectic with modern touches. The pool offered a much-needed release after the tough basketball games in which the girls played. I would recommend this property to anyone!

Perfect.

This was a perfect spot to converge upon for Thanksgiving. The house is great - comfortable, well-stocked, and a really great design. The property manager is helpful and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Beautiful home!

I highly recommend this home for anyone traveling to the area. We came for a week with my dance competition team. There were plenty of beds to accommodate the girls (and the beds are very comfortable!) the kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans and other cooking utensils. The neighbor stopped by regularly to check on the area. Cameras are surrounding the home for Security. The pool is beautiful and clean! The only complaint we had was with the hot water. Back to back showers are Not recommended... Hot water Ran out quickly. Overall, it was a beautiful place to stay.

owner is the best! property is great

My family of 6 and I had a great time at this property. It was conveniently located (we were there for a Dickinson graduation) and Mike, the owner, was so accommodating and welcoming, setting up the pool for us a week early and allowing us to stay late when the graduation was going over. Would definitely go again.

Amazing!

Our family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights and found the house very unique. It was very spacious and the beds very comfortable. We enjoyed travelling to Hershey Park and other nearby attractions. My children loved the pool - especially swimming with the pool lights on in the dark. My daughter enjoyed playing outside with the cats every day - Minx especially craved attention! The literature supplied by the owner for nearby restaurants was appreciated. We enjoy Chinese food and the take-out at the Giant store was delicious (close by and easier than making our own meals!). Thanks for allowing us to stay at the Wright Retreat Michelle.

The great thing about this property, aside from the complete privacy, peace and quite, is the close proximity to so many things (Hershey Park, the history of Gettysburg, the Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, the minor league baseball park on City Island in Harrisburg, shopping and the Amish country in Lancaster, etc.). Because of the central location, you can visit a different area each day and not have far to travel.
