Perfect experience, pictures were accurate. Very easy check in, a code was sent before my arrival. Home was very clean, beds were so comfy! The best part is I could bring my 2 dogos. The backyard is perfect for quick outside trips. I purchased my own king size sheets to throw over the couch, in case my dog did come up there would be no hair. The heat and air worked great in the house, we arrived on a warm day and it cooled down quickly. A cold front came thru and the heat worked excellent. Will stay again.
The place had a kitchen so I would have assumed we would have had utensils, plates, glasses but that was not what we found. We found 2 dishes, 2 mugs, 2 forks, a few knives and 2 Tablespoons (no teaspoons), no glasses⊠We washed them by hand a number of times and then opened dishwasher where we found a few more items - ALL caked with dirty food. Again- only a couple plates, another fork and 2 glasses. Next was the issue that this looked like we were renting a house- but it had apartments next door and above us too. Our first night they had a party and we could hear everything. Walls were soooo thin. Even when they didnât have people over, we could hear person above walking, closing doors, going up steps. The place was dirty too. Along the base trim, and in the vents there was coatings of dirt. The host was traveling so it was difficult to communicate. Some miscommunications occurred. He did allow us to check out early and reimburse us for the unused days. We still paid all the host fees etc but appreciated the flexibility to leave and get money back to use in another booking.I will say the plus was the size, location, and the cost. But the noise, lack of privacy, lack of cleanliness and unstocked kitchen (plus the dirty dishes) made it pretty horrible.
Me and three others stayed here for two nights. The property was well cared for, and everything went very smoothly from check in to checkout. I would definitely stay here again!
This property was in a great location and had everything we needed. Check in was easy and the property owner gave clear directions. We would stay here again.
A very neat and clean house that is located just minutes from downtown Cincinatti and is in a very quiet neighborhood. Great vibe from this place and I highly recommend!!
A great place from which to explore Cincinnati. Located near Xavier in a nice middle class neighborhood, this unit is perfect for three adults. The beds were comfortable, and the unit had plenty of floor space in the eating area to store packages (such as purchases made along the bourbon trail). Parking can be done on the street or in the driveway. The owner communicates quickly if a question arises.
Great location in a quiet residential neighborhood, very convenient driveway parking, 1st floor, so no major stairs. Clean, roomy. Would definitely stay here again!
This great place was so roomy and perfectly accommodated us for a weekend in town for a wedding. Close to downtown and Rookwood, the neighborhood was filled with other beautiful older homes especially the grand Victorian on the corner we enjoyed viewing and the neighborhood was surprising very quiet. If we ever need a place to stay in Cincinnati again we will definitely book this property.
We came for a few days to celebrate the 4th of July. Location was great to visit the Cincy Zoo, Newport Aquarium and Riverbend Music Center. Unit was clean and had everything we needed! Communication was great and timely though out the process of booking until departure. Thanks again!!
The house is in walking distance to a few neat places, and the drive to anything you would like to see is relatively quick. We saw a few ballgames and it takes about 12 minutes to get downtown. The manager is communicative and friendly. The cleaning fees are reasonable, as are expectations on clean up at the end. The easiest VRBO stay I've had.
My trip started rough due to my own mistake. I accidentally only book the rental for one night but needed it for two. The property owner quickly helped me fix this mistake and got me access to the property. It was clean and had everything we needed from cooking to sleeping and showering ready for are stay. If im ever back for a few nights in Cincinnati this will be the first place ill look for. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
We stayed here over family weekend at Xavier. Very close to campus and we loved the neighborhood! Very quiet and quaint. The unit was nice, itâs an older home, but had lots of charm. The kitchen seems to be the most updated and very pretty. Beds were comfy. We liked having fans in the bedrooms. The driveway is very tight for our large SUV, but we squeezed in đ very typical for the area, so not unexpected for us. The owner was quick to respond. We would stay here again!
we saw a fly. Not a regular house fly, Iâm talking a horse fly big enough for me to ride all the way back to Indy. So, we figure, itâs just a few; nothing a fly swatter canât handle. We run out to the nearest store, and purchase a fly swatter. We return to the unit, and start swatting left and right. Blood splatters and fly guts a plenty. At this point weâve killed at least 10 horse flies. It starts to feel like we are actually making some headway; most of them are in the window so thatâs where we are focused. I had two of three windows cleared of horse flies, and moved onto the third. There were only three more flies left, I thought. This will be over soon, I thought. I go in for the kill, and I kid you not, 10 more flies scattered out. I dropped my fly swatter and ran, screaming. I messaged the property owner multiple times, informing him of the situation as it progressed. I let him know that we could not stay there, in those conditions. Upon doing a walk through, he claimed to see only three dead flies, and nothing else. This is a gross understatement of the condition/situation. He said he would send me back the cleaning fee due to the place being untouched. Quality Inn was 100 times better.
We ended up checking out after 1 night due to the lack of cleanliness at this place. It is very clear this is just a âthrown togetherâ place to call a rental with no pride taken into its actual condition. Parts of the floor are broken and missing pieces. The kitchen was actually so filthy, it was hard to touch things. When we arrived the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes and there were no pods to run it. The cabinets and handles were all dirty and sticky. The fridge is missing the handle so the side of it where people had been grabbing to open it was also sticky and dirty. The clean utensils were all just thrown into a dirty drawer and were also dirty and crusty. The bathroom walls were dirty with splatters of who knows what. The shower mat was full of hair and upon picking it up out of the tub there was more hair and it was discovered that the tub was cracked and filled with putty. I reached out to the host who was initially responsive and OFFERED a refund for unused nights but has since âghostedâ me so I had to file a claim with VRBO. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else.
I don't understand these people. I provided the refund as agreed. I can't control what their credit card company does in processing it. They complained the first day. Then stayed 5 more, telling me how terrible the place was every day, saying they were going to leave the next day every day. When they left, I walked the place, we did our normal clean and rerented it to a happy guest the next day. The place looked totally in order when I walked it. The whole thing was weird. Complainers or unrealistic expectations or something else. Who knows.
