We had a great time at the cabin! It was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy some time away. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We’d happily stay here again!

My husband and I enjoyed the peace and relaxation of this beautiful cabin in the country. The cabin was super comfortable and we enjoyed the front porch and the river was really nice. We'd like to come back in the Fall!

Such a peaceful stay at the Brazos River Cabin. Went for a couple's weekend and enjoyed the quietness of the property away from hustle and bustle. Ryan greeted us as we arrived and answered any questions we had related to the rental and nearby towns. The accommodations were just as described with an added bonus of 4-legged friends grazing in the evenings. A short walk/drive (with a 4WD truck) took us down to the Brazos to enjoy the gentle water. The pace was definitely a different experience from the city life and much needed.

The cabin was so nice and cozy. Our family had fun staying here and walking around the property to the river front. It is beautiful. It felt like being in a postcard.

Peaceful Stay

We enjoyed our stayed at the cabin. We loved making fire and star gazing. Our kids enjoyed finding shells and rocks by the river. The cabin was cozy but had plenty of space for our family of 4. My daughter loved the decor and paintings. It was great place to stay when visiting Glen Rose.

Well needed vacation

Check in was a breeze. The cabin was very nice, very clean and very well supplied. The grounds were very well maintained. We were there for a full week and the staff was out in the heat every day making sure that the property was kept looking nice. The cabin we stayed in was a short walk or ride to the river that was also very nice. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cabin or a nice place to park their RV . The property managers were very helpful and friendly.

Great cabin on the river

Everything was perfect beginning to end on our trip. The hosts were so patient and helpful and quick to respond. The cabin was flawless...clean, charming and well prepared. The stars!!! And the beautiful country out here, are amazing.

Central Texas gem!

This is an experience I would definitely do again! My family and I frequently stay at short term vacation rentals throughout Texas. Brazos River Hideout is now on our favorites list. Everything from the check-in process to the appearance, decorations and cleanliness was supurb! This cabin combines all the hominess and service with amazing scenery and attractions within close proximity. Very good experience!

We were looking for a place to just relax and we found it. So pleasant, beautiful property. Wonderful management. Our dog got to spend time off leash running in the Brazos River. We know he didn't want to leave (neither did we).

Blissful/Petfect

Easy access, absolutely perfect! We went kayaking and got a little lost, the wonderful people in the county brought us and our kayaks back to our cabin. Everyone is super friendly. The cabin is adorable! We didn't want to leave 😆 the managers are awesome and very helpful. Definitely coming back!!

It was absolutely fantastic to host Shelly and her friend. They were warm and friendly, and went above and beyond to keep things clean and tidy. We definitely look forward to seeing them again in the future!

Weekend in paradise

Thank you for allowing us a great weekend at your cabin. The man and woman there were very hospitable, accommodation's were spot on and more. Heater worked perfect for us and the high speed internet was exactly as advertised. We really enjoyed the place and the river access was fun for the kids. To start off positive. The cabin was clean and the bed very comfortable. Kitchen was stocked fairly well. The on site manager was very personable, accommodating and helpful. On the VERY negative side the a/c was terrible. Yes, it was extremely hot outside but I don't think there is any reason it should be 80 degrees at 10:00 at night with humidity at 63% in the house. We carry digital thermometers where we go. We messaged host and he was rather snarky and didn't seem to care. Said we should basically be glad we're in 80 degrees instead of 103 outside. Thankfully due to traveling often, we've learned to take extra blankets, it's usually colder in places. We covered all the main windows with the blankets and kept all the blinds closed trying to keep the room dark and temperature in the house at least 78 degrees. Which helped some but not completely. I hate to give this negative review. The place is worth going too but not with an a/c that needs servicing or more so updating. It was my birthday and at 66 I can acclimate to most any situation but prefer being in cooler comfortable temperatures. Mostly disappointed in the host attitude and absolutely no apologies or offer to refund any money.

Hi Patti, Apologies if I came off Snarky, not my. Not sure if they got kicked off or doors were left open but this is first complaint we’ve had on temperature. intention. The AC were inspected at your request and everything was operating as normal. Some places aren’t designed for 105 heat waves, that could be it as well. Sorry we didn’t do better

Cabin near Glen Rose

I am so glad we found this cabin to rent for our little weekend away. It was perfect! The cabin was close to Dinosaur Valley State Park & Fossil Rim which we had plans for visiting over the weekend. The cabin is a quick walk to the river bank where the kids got in, skipped rocks & looked for cool rocks to keep. We made a fire in the fire pit every night, kitchen was well stocked with utensils we needed & the bed was comfortable. Also the couple who greeted us was super friendly & informative! We plan on coming back to rent the larger cabin with friends!

Weekend trip

We were looking for a quick weekend trip and my son really wanted to stay in a cabin. I found this one and liked the size plus it was by the river. The cabin was perfect for us for a couple days. It had everything we needed for the weekend with out having to buy anything else. The managers were great and came and introduced themselves as they are on property too. The cabin is on well water so you have the sulfur smell. We walked down to the river and did some RC jumps. Skipped rocks and watched the hawks. I would love to come back when it’s warmer and enjoy having the river so close
