Within walking distance to St. Andrews State Park, with over 1,200 acres of open space for fishing, cycling, hiking, and plenty of options for you to enjoy a nice picnic and eat among the pine forests, white beaches, and wetlands.
From there, you can take a short boat ride to Shell Island, a 7-mile barrier island, and an absolute favorite for visitors and locals of the area. This island is home to many endangered species and offers you a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of them, like snowy plovers and loggerhead and green sea turtles.
If you feel like taking a break from exploring ecotourism, shopping at Pier Park is another great way to spend your time. Pier Park offers 120 shops and several great dining options, like Margaritaville, Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, and The Back Porch Seafood & Oyster House.
