Everything was perfect for our low key weekend getaway. The warm spring pool in the backyard was amazing. We absolutely loved our time there.

We loved this place. The house was so clean. The vibe was cute and quaint. Lots to do in the area and I can't wait to stay again. Only concern is ....they need a new couch.

We loved our stay at the Tannery! The house is charming, and tastefully appointed. We loved sitting on the covered porch, listening to the babbling stream. The location is great — a short walk from the excellent Waterwheel restaurant and the lovely Troddenvale cider farm; a minute’s drive to the Jefferson pools and the Inn at Warm Springs; and an easy and scenic 5-10 minute drive to the Homestead. We would gladly return!

This was our second stay at this property. We love it for its historic charm and the stream in the back. We spend most of our time out on the decks. It is in a good location as well to walk to a few things.

We had a lovely time at The Tannery. The house is exactly as described- cozy, vintage and perfect for our getaway. Our dog loved the back yard, the creek and dipping pool were so relaxing. We also enjoyed the “sleeping porch”, although we did not sleep there, we did spend time there reading each evening. 10 out of 10 , we would definitely stay here again.

If you love historical American architecture and a opportunity to use your own private warm springs, this is the property! Truly unique. Great location. Having done the Jefferson Pools before, the wading pool through the warm springs in the back yard was amazing. We spent most time outside on the porches which was a special treat to have. Very pet friendly! This is a rural 200 year old home, yet in the heart of Warm Springs, Upstairs more spacious than expected with 2 bedrooms plus a sleeping porch - definitely worth trying. In agreement the sofa could use updating for comfort. We enjoyed our visit 5 stars.

Most of the time when one comes to a vacation place, she is disappointed. Advertisement is always better than real presentation. In this case The Tannery did not disappoint us. We enjoyed every moment of our vacation. Location, house as described by owners.Thank you!!

The Tannery is beautiful, well cared for, and looks exactly like the pictures. The warm spring in the back is phenomenal, as are both of the huge porches, one of which is a sleeping porch.The only thing that could have made our stay better would be more comfortable furniture. The bed was very hard and we didn't sleep well either of the nights. The couches and chairs are also very uncomfortable to the point where we really couldn't hang out in the family room. I would consider upgrading those items so your guests have a comfortable sleep!Thanks for the hospitality!

Thank you for your comments. We're sorry you didn't feel the furniture or the beds were comfortable. As our description states, much of our furniture are antiques. And the house is somewhat space constrained. The mattresses are new as of last year and yes, are firm. However, we've doubled up on pillow top mattress pads for each bed. We'll just have to keep trying. Glad you enjoyed the rest of our beloved Tannery.

Unique experience in beautiful setting.

Wonderful stay, great firefly show at night accompanied by the sounds of the falling waters in the back yard. Great location with fantastic places to eat within walking distance.

Warm Springs Getaway

We enjoyed the location of the property and had so much fun with our dog in the warm Springs at the back of the home. Perfect location to walk to town and the Warm Springs Pools just down the road. Many wonderful dining options close by. We loved using the Wood Stove at night!

Absolutely a magical place!! The dipping pool in the back was oh so relaxing and the temperature was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in the screened porch upstairs. It was like sleeping in a treehouse! Insects chirping and water running from the stream was meditative!! I loved the experience. The house is magnificent, accommodating and unique. If you looking for a relaxing experience, this is the place!

There are very few places like this that we have stayed that we enjoyed so much. It is definitely an old, historic home, so it is going to have uneven floors and high-risers on the stairs. But if you are the kind of person that loves old homes, none of that will bother you. It also has a screened sleeping porch as well as an open porch that looks down over the beautiful yard down to the creek. And speaking of the creek, there is a swimming hole that is easily accessible and was a lot of fun. One note: wear some sort of protective beach shoes on your feet if you go in as the bottom has rocks and leaves. But the temperature was lovely and the water clear and we enjoyed floating around for a bit. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need for the groceries that you might bring. The small living room was very cozy for reading or TV watching. There is nothing I would have changed about this wonderful little home! It was welcoming, quaint, cozy and comfortable. We will definitely be coming back to the area and will stay in the Tannery without a doubt. Top marks!

Charming Historic Property

My husband and I thought The Tannery was the perfect place to stay for our anniversary. We weren't looking for modern amenities, and between its size and its age, it reminded us of several places we have lived in the past. The Warm Springs Stream pool and waterfall were wonderful. The water was just the right temperature (not hot and not cold), and the privacy was appreciated. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Nice small place. Comfortable, love the yard and stream, plenty hot water, loved it! Very private. Unique opportunity to have the warm springs creek. We enjoyed it. We’ll be back!

If a house could hug....

This property was absolutely amazing!!! It was like taking a step back in time, and when we walked in the door it felt like the house was wrapping its arms around us and giving us a big hug to welcome us in. The back yard and the two porches were simply gorgeous, and the creek running along the back of the property was warm and wonderful!! We will definitely be staying here again!

Wonderful, relaxing visit out of the city

We had a wonderful experience at the Tannery. The inside was cozy and clean. We spent most of our time on the lovely back deck and really enjoyed listening to the sounds of nature on the sleeping porch. We also enjoyed our dip in the spring and some walks to the small village nearby. The owners also were great to communicate with and accommodated some additional requests of ours. Would love to come again!

Relax in the Tannery

We loved our weekend stay at the Tannery! The backyard stream was invigorating. Despite the morning October chill, we enjoyed the backyard water before our soak at nearby Jefferson pool. Dinner and drinks at Waterwheel Restaurant were within walking distance. The porches were tranquil with the sound of the stream. Our stay refreshed us!

lovely house and property

Didn't get the full experience, as it rained all week and the creek was chilly, but enjoyed ourselves, nonetheless. Sleeping porch is the best! Little bit of an ant challenge that can be easily remedied with a trash can with a lid that seals. Otherwise great! We hope to come back to Warm Springs.

A Warm Spring at The Tannery

What a wonderful find. 200 year old house in perfect cozy condition. The back porch saw a lot of us. The babbling brook in the back yard is warm spring-fed as described. Soaking pool there was warm indeed. Spent a lot of time there too. Hosts Mimi and Jack told us everything we needed to know. Looking forward to a return trip.

nice place to come after driving and fishing each day

kitchen was well supplied with things needed for cooking. There are nice restaurants in the area but we were too tired to dress or bother with calling for a reservation, The porch is a nice place to relax and eat. We had a 25 lb dog with us and the road is pretty quiet so easy to walk pet. There is an upstairs sleeping porch with twin beds which I think children would love. They could watch the fireflies as they feel asleep.
