With the private hot tub, stone firepit, kayaks, games and overall cozy furniture, you won't want to leave. If you decide to venture out though, the cabin is perfectly situated just minutes from Shangri La Golf Courses and Resort/Spa, the new Battlefield Par 3 course, the Anchor Activity Center, marinas, dining, casino and much more. For new reservations during the months of April 2025-July 2025 we are offering 1 FREE day golf cart rental from The Golf Cart Guyz on Monkey Island. Please reach out after your booking is confirmed to reserve your FREE 1-day golf cart rental.

** A 2-night minimum booking is required; 48 hours notice must be given Monday-Friday to reserve the cart; cart cannot be reserved until after your booking has been confirmed; holidays have limited supply so you must verify carts are available prior to booking in order to guarantee one; golf cart is a 4-seater gas cart (any upgrade is at the guests expense); day #1 is FREE (additional days will be the guests responsibility); we are not affiliated with The Golf Cart Guyz so all golf cart issues must be communicated to them and your experience with The Golf Cart Guyz (good or bad) may not affect your review related to our property. **

As you arrive at Twin Retreat - Cabin #1 you'll find plenty of parking in the gravel drive or the concrete carport area. You'll enter the home through the carport door and immediately be wowed by the beauty of the cabin!

When you walk in your eyes go up to the tall vaulted ceilings with intricate wooden trim work throughout and an open concept kitchen/dining/living area. The modern kitchen is well equipped with all you will need for your baking and cooking needs. Beyond the kitchen you'll find a dining table with seats for 6 guests and a gorgeous chandelier hanging above. The living room flows effortlessly from the dining area, is full of natural light, has a beautiful stone fireplace, has a large smart TV for streaming and is the perfect spot to relax after a day of playing golf or enjoying Grand Lake. We also have a large variety of puzzles, games, cards, etc. for you to enjoy on a rainy day.

Just off off the living area is the primary bedroom equipped with a cozy king size bed, smart TV for streaming, dresser, large closet, and of course an en-suite full bathroom with heated floors and the most gorgeous tile shower you've ever seen!

Towards the back of the cabin you'll find seclusion in the second bedroom which also has a plush king size bed, smart TV for streaming, dresser, large closet and a dedicated work station with desk and chair. Bedroom 2 will utilize the second full bathroom that's accessed from the hallway and also has heated floors and a tile shower you'll leave dreaming about.

To wrap up the inside tour of the cabin, we'll direct you to the loft above the kitchen that overlooks the entire living/dining/kitchen area. The loft is accessed via ladder, has a gate that latches at the top and will be the kids favorite spot for sure. You'll find a futon sofa that folds down for additional sleeping and also a trunk full of fun kids toys/games.

Now we step outside through the glass doors off the living area to find a large deck area that's surrounded by tall mature trees and has adironadack chairs for enjoying that morning coffee or evening night cap. We also have a charcoal grill and an iron table and chairs for outdoor dining because sometimes the weather is just irresistible. Of course, a fan favorite is the private hot tub that's tucked away around the corner and just off of the primary bedroom private entrance.

Stepping down off the deck you can venture to the backyard and find a great flat yard space that's perfect for throwing a ball, pulling the corn hole boards out, or lighting a fire in our large stone firepit. We've always got firewood in stock for you too! If you're feeling adventurous, you can pull the 2 kayaks out of the container storage and take them out for a spin on Grand Lake. We have paddles for you and a variety of lifejacket sizes.

I promise you should never be board here at The Twin Retreat!

** Guests will have access to the entire cabin (minus 1 cleaner closet), shipping container and yard area. We store our kayaks and hammocks in the container so if you'd like access please let us know.

** The inside fireplace is inoperable due to liability reasons but we have a beautiful private fire pit outside the cabin! We always have firewood stocked at the cabin for you and plenty of chairs outside.

** We don’t live on site but we love hosting and want to ensure you’re comfortable and enjoying your time at our cabin. Reach out anytime with questions or needs!

** The charcoal grill is provided but guests will need to bring their own charcoal & lighter fluid.

** We provide the initial toiletry items for kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Additional supplies will be the guests responsibility.

** Our smart TVs are for streaming your own accounts.

** Kid friendly and accommodating with shades in bedrooms, pack-n-play, high chair, toys/games, and eating utensils.

** The cabin is easy walking distance to dining & bars nearby.

** The Twin Retreat Cabin #1 is located about a mile from the Shangri La Resort and spa! Here you will find world class dining, entertainment, and golf courses located just a golf cart drive away.

**The entire island is connected with walking and golf cart paths. We don’t currently offer a golf cart but you can rent one on the island or if you have access to one feel free to bring it with you as you can get around the entire island via golf cart paths!
