Great cabin! We had a lovely time. Access to kayaks was a bonus. Not related to the cabin but don’t rely on Uber to get to dinner in Blue Ridge-we were canceled on twice and then no drivers were available so we were forced to cancel our reservation.

Beautiful Home, Amazing Lake Access

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back! The floor-to-ceiling glass windows were one of our favorite features, offering beautiful views and making the house feel bright and peaceful. We spent hours relaxing on floats in the lake, and having such easy access to the water made our stay even more enjoyable. The house was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials we needed, making it easy to settle in and enjoy our vacation. Everything was well maintained, and the home was perfect for relaxing with family. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful lakeside getaway!

Great time!

The property was very nice; had everything we needed (and then some); and was in good proximity to the local town. Our children enjoyed the hot tub, making s'mores utilizing the fire put and walking down the hill to the water to toss rocks. We will definitely come back the next time we head south into Georgia!

Fantastic Family Getaway

Our first visit to Lantern Landing was amazing! The house is beautifully appointed and was just as described in the listing. The lake and mountain view was lovely and so peaceful, yet was a reasonable distance from downtown Blue Ridge. The kids loved the hot tub and loft beds and I was so pleasantly surprised by the responsiveness of the host to our questions. We will definitely be repeat guests at Lantern Landing!

Blue Ridge Getaway

Lantern Landing was the perfect getaway spot for our friend group to celebrate a Friendsgiving weekend. The kitchen was spacious and we were able to spread out in the space for cooking and prepping food. The outdoor space was amazing! We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit every night! The bedrooms were perfect as well. They were all king size beds, so each one felt like the primary with their en suite bathrooms. I would definitely stay here again!

Lantern Landing was the perfect retreat for our family of 5. It was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. This beautiful lake home was everything we expected and more. Megan was very responsive and went above and beyond for us when a really bad storm took out the power all over town. Luckily we got to finish out our stay and enjoy all that this home has to offer. We absolutely loved the fire pit, hot tub and views from the deck. The cabin itself was great and we had no issues during our stay. However, we drove 10 hours specifically for the lake views, swimming, boating, and the peaceful, secluded setting described in the listing.I felt the lake views were somewhat misleading. Although the condos were mentioned, I didn’t realize they would be the main focal point of the view. The listing photos were taken at angles where the condos weren’t visible, which gave a different impression. Since the condos are essentially in the cabin’s backyard, their lights were also very noticeable at night while sitting by the fire and took away from the peaceful lake view. The lake access was also more difficult than expected. The path is rocky and steep, so good shoes are definitely needed. While kayaks were provided, carrying them up and down the hill was difficult, and storage closer to the lake would have helped. Swimming also felt less private because the condos have a large portion of the lakefront with their own deck, dock, and stairs.Nothing was wrong with the cabin itself. Our only disappointment was that the listing could have been more transparent about the lake views, condos, privacy, and actual lake access, especially since those were the main reasons for our long drive.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We sincerely apologize that certain aspects of the property did not meet your expectations. In all our years of hosting, this is the first time we’ve received feedback of this nature as we’ve always felt our listing description and photos accurately represent the property and its surroundings. We certainly never want guests to feel misled and always encourage anyone booking to reach out with specific questions beforehand, especially when certain amenities or features are particularly important to their stay. That said, we genuinely appreciate your perspective and will take your comments into consideration. Most importantly, we’re happy to hear that you enjoyed the cabin itself and had a comfortable stay. Wonderful getaway!

Lantern Landing was a fantastic home to get away. Our 5 year old cried for a full 20 minutes begging us to live there! The entire layout is a dream for families of 4-8 and the lake view for sunsets was incredible! Beware the beach area for little ones isn’t fully ideal as it’s steep and rocky. It works for older kids with no problems but wasn’t a great spot for any under the age of 5. Megan was very responsive and the house was in GREAT order. We will definitely return - most likely when there’s a chance of snow!
