Nous avons le refuge familial parfait pour vous! Plage de sable privée de 100 pieds, eau cristalline peu profonde, quai, beaucoup d'espace de jardin pour jouer et se détendre, confortable, spacieux 4 chambres, 2 salles de bain récemment rénovées avec des fenêtres à gogo, offrant une vue magnifique sur le 6e plus Beau lac dans le monde.

Vos soucis commenceront à fondre au moment où vous baissez notre allée isolée et boisée de 600 pieds. Au moment où vous atteignez le chalet et voyez le charmant lac Higgins, vous serez en mode détente complète.

Admirez le lac à travers les baies vitrées / baies vitrées dans la grande salle, ou regardez les bois à travers les baies vitrées dans la cuisine ensoleillée, complète, avec coin repas. Nous proposons des lits pour 8 personnes, plus un canapé-lit pour 2 personnes supplémentaires. Chaque salle de bain fraîchement mise à jour pour 2017 a sa propre douche de carreaux de fenêtre et de métro, un nouveau comptoir, un rangement supplémentaire et un plancher frais. Linge de lit, cuisine, serviettes de bain et de plage, batterie de cuisine, vaisselle et verrerie pour une foule, ainsi que des produits en papier pour vous aider à démarrer sont fournis.

Les quatre chambres séparées comprennent un maître lit queen, un lit queen au bord du lac, deux lits jumeaux au bord du lac et une paire de lits superposés simples. Chaque chambre a deux fenêtres pour profiter des brises rafraîchissantes et s'endormir au clapotis des vagues le long du rivage, une commode et un placard.

À l'extérieur, profitez de deux patios en ciment, d'un foyer, d'un barbecue au gaz et au charbon de bois, d'une table de pique-nique, même d'un panier de basket, d'une connexion Internet WiFi et de ces chaises Adirondack très importantes pour se détendre au bord du lac.

Mid July Higgins Lake

The location of the property is outstanding - right in front of a beautiful clear beach/lake. We really enjoyed all the extras that the property owners left for us - kayaks, a rowboat, games, floats.

Perfect location!

Property is right on Higgins lake! Our weather was a little cooler but the location was very close to multiple golf courses and there was lots of room in the yard to play games like cornhole! The cabin was very clean and had a nice large living room making it the perfect hangout spot to watch some football! Overall had a great stay and would definitely recommend to family and friends :)

Great getaway

Very nice up north cabin, very clean and quiet. This place had so much to offer including games, outdoors/indoors, fishing, boats, endless shell searching, basketball and more. Our family had a wonderful time on the lake relaxing in the water during the day and by the bonfire at night. The hosts were amazing and easy to get a hold of.

Great stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our family stay at Flynn Cottage. The property met our needs marvelously, and the stretch of private beach occupied the 3- and 5-year old grandsons for hours and hours! Higgins Lake is one of our family’s happy places. We were so pleased with our stay in this home!

Perfect cottage for an Up North escape

We couldn’t be happier with our stay here! We knew Higgins was an awesome lake, but we were so pleased with our cottage. Plenty of space for our entire family/friends group to hang out on the few rainy afternoons and the sandy beach/shallow waters were perfect for our 6 and 8 year olds to play safely!

Higgins Lake Paradise

Very impressive nostalgic northern Michigan cottage with knotty pine interior, original A-Frame construction, stone fireplace, and unobstructed view of the lake. Excellent location with sandy beach, crystal clear water and absolutely no rocks under foot in the water.

This was an absolutely perfect vacation. The cottage is rustic, but so what! The views, the owners, the family room space, the lake......ALL PERFECT. The owners were so wonderful to work with. We loved it! Thank you for making a very memorable summer!

Hidden Gem

This was our second year and it was as enjoyable as the previous year. This is the best location on the lake with the sandy beach, a large shallow area of the lake and absolutely no rocks under foot. Great location for day trips to Mackinaw Island, the dunes & Traverse City or the UP. Provided lasting memories. Beautiful sun rises. Will definitely return again.

Awesome family trip!

My family and I stayed for a week and we had a great time! There were 9 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out! The cottage is adorable, clean, and in a perfect location. Great views of the lake with plenty of room to swim, hang out on floaties, or play football in the water! Higgins Lake is beautiful, clean, and cool. We brought our small boat and enjoyed cruising the lake. We met the owner, Jim, and he was a very nice guy, very friendly and helpful. We would definitely rent this cottage again!

Perfect week!

Everything at the house is exactly as the listing states. We had a great time playing on the beach, boating, playing games until he yard, playing basketball, and having bonfires in the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, the living room provided plenty of space for games and lots of chatter about the day. We especially enjoyed how this home sits so far off of the road you hear no street traffic and truly get the up north feel while being on the lake.

Great Spot on Higgins Lake

Wonderful, private, lake home right on the lake. Really really nice beach area with no rocks! Just sandy beach. VERY NICE!! Lots of sand for kids to play with. The fire pit was great. We roasted marshmallows every night we were there. Large place. They have a shed that has water toys. There are two canoes and a paddle boat you can use also. Overall a great place and I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a great place on Higgins Lake.

Can’t wait to return!!

The Flynn family was very communicative, hospitable and accommodating. The property was clean, inviting and made for a great week long stay. The backyard and beach was great FR our family - aged 4-65!! We enjoyed days on the beachfront and in the water and evenings around the fire pit! Plenty of water toys to be had in the shed and the family was super sweet to ask if we needed anything at all. The bunk room is perfect for kids. It fit our 4 year old twins on the bottom and 6 year old on top. Can’t wait to come back next summer. Thanks Flynn family!

Cabin in the woods

This home is spacious and away from traffic and noise. There's a wooded area next to the house but not too close. You feel like you're in a rural area. The beautiful lake is the first thing you see each morning. You wade through shallow water, that is crystal clear, few stones and no weeds or grass to walk through as you make your way to deeper water for swimming. Nobody got swimmer's itch. We enjoyed it very much and look forward to returning.

Wonderful and nostalgic cottage on a beautiful lake.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. When we booked this there was no pandemic and the Flynn's were wonderful about changing their operations and taking precautions to keep everyone safe. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. There were 6 adults and 2 small children in our group and everyone had a great time and left feeling relaxed. The only complaint anyone in our group had was about the mattresses. There were some that were clearly very old and need replaced. The one on the bottom bunk and one in the room with two twins were particularly uncomfortable. Also, the first two days we were there it got up to 95 degrees and was very uncomfortable at night even with fans running. It cooled off shortly after that and we had a more comfortable remainder of the week. Roscommon was a cute town with ice cream shops, a great butcher shop(Bob's) and some nice little restaurants where we ordered takeout. The lake is beautiful, clean and the private beach was perfect for my two small kiddos. We did try to rent a boat while were there and apparently this is something you should do pretty far in advance. They were booked about a few weeks out from the dates when we were there - just a tip to anyone staying :) We would love to return and stay again. It was relaxing and just what we needed.

Unwind

Our group comprised 3 middle aged couples. We found the Flynn cottage to be very comfortable. No stairs. There's plenty of room to spread out. There were plenty of towles, sheets, dishes, and pots and pans. There was even some staple items provided. We loved the ample parking. The house has a neighbor on one side and woods on the other. The long driveway is away from traffic noise. It was very quiet and peaceful. Our group really needed this and appreciated it so much! We are looking forward to going back next summer.

Great property on the water!

Our family and kids' friends had a great stay in this house on the water! Lake was right on the back door and water was clear and sandy. Lots of outdoor seating and a fire ring. Includes canoes, row boat, rafts, and games. We were able to keep our boat at their mooring. Great time overall!

2021 Family Vacation

We just had the greatest time at the Flynn cottage. The owner, Kim and the property manager, Peggy, were the best!!! My husband’s family used to go to Higgins Lake from 1946 to 1980. We went back this year to share the property with the kids and grandkids. The property had a long driveway leading up to the house that was like driving through a mini forest preserve. We have pictures and videos of a mama deer and her babies playing off to the side of the road right near the cottage on 3 separate occasions. What a treat that was!!! The parking area was large enough to fit a F150 truck with a double sea doo trailer , 2 SUVs and 2 cars with plenty of room for more. There was a new picnic table out back with a really nice, large gas grill that we cooked hot dogs, brats and hamburgers on. The kitchen was unbelievable…it had a dishwasher and washer and dryer that were put to good use. The kitchen table was so large we fit 10 chairs around it comfortably. The cabinets were stocked with every kitchen gadget imaginable, including a blender, electric mixer and cupcake tins!!!…..it was a huge kitchen!!! The great room was also very large with a brand new couch and chair and a half. It had vaulted ceilings with 2 ceiling fans plus a piano!!! It also had a very large table that you could probably put 12 chairs around. The bedrooms were nice and comfortable and the baths were recently remodeled. The outside, though, took our breath away. You have a full view of the 6th most beautiful fresh water lake in the world. It is spring fed and crystal clear and you can see all the changes in hue of the blues and greens, just like in the Caribbean!!! There is a grass yard for yard games and there was a short retaining wall to separate the sand area where a wonderful bonfire pit was. It had beautiful benches and tree trunks around the pit. There were also good quality Adirondack chairs located on the back and front porches and along the shoreline. The shed had lots of sand toys and noodles for the kiddies and there was a row boat and canoe upside down on the shoreline for easy access. As far as location, the property is within 5 minutes of the South Higgins Lake State Park, Nibbles ice cream stand and at least 4 other walk up type restaurants to order sandwiches and pizza. This was truly a wonderful family vacation that was loaded with lots of beautiful, happy memories!!!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

This house and location was absolutely perfect! You can’t beat the lake views and fire pit nights! Communication was so smooth and same with the check in and out process! We are already thinking about booking it again next year!
