Great location, hot tub was extremely clean, great fireplace with wood provided, plenty of towels and toiletries, there is a vent near the kitchen table that the chair legs can go right through. My daughter's chair fell through it twice. Could have been a very bad injury. Only one comfortable sofa in living room, so hard for a family of 3 to comfortably relax after a long day in the mountains. Don't get me wrong, we were very pleased. It just needs a few upgrades and get a new cover for that vent. Obviously many have fallen through it as the grates are stretched from chair legs falling through.
We did a girls trip to Estes Park for the weekend. This adorable cabin had everything we needed. What a great location in Estes Park. If you ever come in the summer this would be a prime location.
Nice little cabin with beautiful views and a fantastic deck. Beds were very comfortable. Although we didnât cook any meals while there, the kitchen was well stocked. Location is great.
We enjoyed our stay in Mableâs Cabin. It was a quaint and comfortable cabin. We found it to be just as described. We came to Estes Park for a family wedding and to enjoy the area. Mableâs Cabin is in a great locationâŠjust a short distance from everything.
Great rustic cabin very close to downtown Estes. Our family had a great time exploring the town and RMNP was just a short drive away. The driveway to the cabin is quite steep if there is any snow or ice, an AWD or 4x4 would have helped in the winter. We would definitely be interested in renting the same cabin again.
The property was lovely and the town was so very charming! All the people were friendly and gave us great recommendations for hiking during the off season (avoiding avalanches). We also appreciated the maintenance guy Jerry who brought firewood to our cabin for us! Lovely space for a lovely time!
Very cosy little spot, with great views and close to town. Basic, but Nikki provided everything you would need. Great washing machines and grateful for the washing detergent! :)
Hot tub also awesome.
Overall the cabin was comfy and clean. It does badly need new bed pillows, those were so flat they did no good. We bought firewood, but it would have been nice to have a hatchet to make kindling. At least I did not see one. We did enjoy our stay and would recommend it.
This place needs TLC. I know it's old but a few things need to be fixed. ALso, the floors were pretty dirty. After the first day, my new white socks were very dirty after walking on the floors.
Positives: quaint, cute, conveniently located, great views. Negatives: musty, dated, beds are horrible.
Overall a neat place but it wouldnât hurt to invest some $ into decent beds. One of us ended up sleeping in the chair each night as the mattresses were so uncomfortable no matter what setting they were on. Also, prior to guests arriving it might be a good idea to air out if time lapse between rentals.
Stayed here for my 10th time visiting Estes Park. The cabin felt wonderfully rustic while still providing modern amenities. Great location feeling remote but able to walk to downtown without finding parking.
This property provided us with an ideal base for day hiking in RMNP. The location, a very short walk to E Elkhorn Ave, provided easy walking to restaurants and shopping and allowed us to keep the car parked after a long day on the trail.
This cabin was clean and in the perfect location just walking distance from the main downtown area. We were in town for a wedding and this was perfect for what we needed.
This cabin was sold out of the family for quite a few years. We were lucky enough to purchase it so that it is back in the family. I have been coming to Estes Park for vacations since I was a toddler. I never tire of it's beauty and endless changing scenery. I hope you can build the same memories at our little heaven on earth.
Mabel's Cabin is one of 5 cabins with LR Taylor Cabins. My great, great Grandfather came to Estes in 1911 to start building his vacation home, along with his wife and 4 children. He died shortly thereafter, but his children each built their own cabin. Luckily, we were able to buy the ones that had left the family. The cabin we stay in has never left the family and has been passed on through the generations. Nell's Cabin was not in our family, but we bought it because of it's proximity. Each of the cabins has old photos of the family and Estes Park. Come enjoy the history.
This cabin has a perfect location in a private neighborhood. You can relax on the deck and enjoy the surroundings, watch the wildlife, walk downtown for food or shopping, or drive a short way to get to Rocky National Park. It is the best!
