This mid century masterpiece in the heart of Baton Rouge is an architects dream. Just around the corner from Perkins overpass, The Greenhouse is minutes away from the cityâs best bars and restaurants, LSU lakes, Tiger Stadium and the River Center.
Whether you are in town for a game or a special event, you and your guests will be sure to find plenty of space and R&R in the meticulously designed bedrooms, spa-like bathrooms (including a jacuzzi in the master!), three private gardens, or the game room studio.
The entire house is custom designed, from the kitchen island to the glass ceiling dining room.
Each of the bedrooms in The Greenhouse have floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall windows. To allow maximum views of the greenspaces, there are no curtains, but the windows are treated with top quality mirror film. You will be able to see out, but your fellow guests will not be able to see in. No windows are visible from outside the property.
The master bedroom has a Jacuzzi tub and private garden. The other two guest bedrooms share a newly remodeled bathroom and the large butterfly garden which is also perfect for alfresco dining.
While not traditional `sleeper sofas`, the sofas in both of the game room and living room were carefully chosen to each sleep two guests comfortably. In the game room, pushing the ottomans in will turn the sofa into a queen-sized bed, and in the living room, flipping the attached cushions away from the seat will create 2 wide sleeping spaces.
The entire house wraps around a central atrium with a large patio and fire pit. At the end of the driveway, and attached to the large central garden, there is a large game room with arcade games, plenty of seating around the big screen TV, with board games in the cupboard
Honestly, this is just the type of place you have to see it to believe. Canât wait to host you at our Greenhouse retreat!
Guests have full access to the entire property. Some of the closets are used for supply storage.
We live about 15 minutes away and will be accessible throughout your entire stay!
Baton Rougeâs historic hundred oaks neighborhood is just off of interstate 10 minutes from downtown, the LSU Lakes, Tiger Stadium, and the popular amenities in midcity.
Just around the corner is Baton the famed Perkins Road overpass merchant district, which is replete with some of the cityâs top bars, restaurants, and shopping. Your hosts are pretty big coffee nerds, and find themselves quite satisfied with the 5 incredible coffee shop options within a few minutes of the house.
This is a residential neighborhood, but there is more than enough parking for 4 to 5 cars in the private driveway.
We have brand new pots, pans, dishes, mixing bowls, knives, and utensils throughout the kitchen. We also stocked up with very basic seasonings and plenty of coffee pods, but if you choose to get creative with your culinary adventures, there is a Trader Joeâs just around the corner!
Please note: the `hot tub` in the listing is in reference to the two-person waterfall tub/jacuzzi in the master area that is shown in the photos.
