House and location were absolutely great. Loved our time here, ZERO complaints. Home is very well laid out, and was very comfortable for 6 adults. Comfortable beds and quality linens. For being a historic home, it had very good noise insulation. We had people up at 5am, and other sleeping in until 11am, and everyone was comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking large meals - sharp knives, heavy bottomed stainless steel pots, and gas stove were appreciated. Outdoor spaces are comfortable and the plants well cared for.AC works great! And the LOCATION IS GREAT! We visited Wrightville Beach several times, Harbor Way Gardens, Arilie Gardens, and the CAM Museum. We loved Manna for a nice meal out, Benny's had excellent pizza and great ambiance, and The Wondering Cone was the best ice cream stop. For those who enjoy a stogie, The Cigar Exchange in downtown is a wonderful establishment. The owner has been their 25 years, is friendly and knowledgeable.Would absolutely recommend this home, and will stay here again when visiting Wilmington.
Overall it was a great stay. Home is beautiful, layout and decor on point. The only issue was a little food left in kitchen sink, refrigerator wasn't cleaned and toaster oven wasn't cleaned. Property manager answered all text in a timely manner. It was very relaxing and much needed.
The house is so beautifully decorated and comfortable. The front porch is such a great place to sit and enjoy a drink and listen to the sounds of nature, day or night.
What a wonderful, historic home to spend time with family. My son made a recent move to Wilmington for work. This was my first time to the area and to visit him. I brought with me my mother, grandmother (92) and daughter. The home was perfect for our stay and well equipped for nights we chose to cook. I would definitely stay here again and appreciate the hospitality.
The owner was extremely flexible with our changing plans. The house is gorgeous. It is well laid out with all the little touches provided. We didnât have time but the back deck would have been relaxing during a longer stay. The only small gotcha would be the parking if a larger group was there.
We all thought the house was decorated so beautifully with such attention to details! Also impressed with so many thoughtful items such as great coffee, teas, snack bars, all the soaps, paper towels, toilet paper, and much more! Whoever designed and did the renovations did a classy job! Well done! Highly recommend staying in this cute house!
Friends from college reunite in Wilmington. Weâre given a deluxe tour by one of our friends who is a new resident but already knows the city like a native. The Ardmore house was a wonderful place to call home for our week in Wilmington. The friendly, responsive management has thought of everything! The house is the perfect combination of comfort, convenience and creativity! We would come back in a heartbeat!
This place was perfect! I really liked the house, it was clean and the area was quiet. it was not very far from the beach and all the places to eat were very close. We were lucky enough to get in touch with our host. Which was nice. If you are planning a trip, I recommend staying here!
Our housing plans fell through at the last minute for the weekend - hours before we were supposed to arrive into the city - and we were lucky enough to have this house still available for our use. Communication with the owners was perfect, and they ensured we settled in comfortably after arrival. The house is beautiful and was in the center of everything for us! We had the best weekend and it had a lot to do with this location.
This property is just adorable! From the historic details that were kept to the fantastic amenities, I cannot say enough good things about the Ardmore House! The front porch was delightful and the neighbors all waved and said hello, just like we were old friends. The property manager was super responsive and gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We will definitely be returning!
We were in town for a family wedding, the house could not have been more perfect! Great space that flows well both inside and out. Clean roomy amd well stocked. My only regret is that i didnât finish the book borrowed form the extensive library wall! đ. Highly recommend Historic Ardmore House
Great and peaceful location. Within 10 minutes from downtown and the beach. Beautiful home with 3 bedrooms.
Perfect for a couples and friends get away!
Needed a place to stay for college move-in day and this house was located close to Downtown and UNCW. Quiet, great fire pit, clean inside and decorated nicely. Came with several coffee options and stocked cabinet. My family enjoyed the stay immensely and I highly recommend it.
The house was so cute and a great mix of vintage touches and modern amenities. Kitchen had everything we needed and bathrooms are very nice. Really enjoyed our walks in the neighborhood. Loved our stay!
Hi there! I'm Terry, owner/president of MoMentum Companies, Inc. We are a residential and commercial brokerage as well as business brokerage. We do have an addiction to restoring and preserving historic properties in downtown Wilmington, as evidenced through our 3 short-term rentals. Our business is a family affair! My sister, Donna, and my sons, Drew and Kennan, are here for you 24/7. My son, Matthew, handles our website and marketing from Denver. Our office is located at 103 S. Front St. Please stop by and say "Hello!" We would love to meet you.
Having hosted in the Wilmington market for over 6 years, we listened to what our guests were requesting and made the move from our other properties in the very busy downtown to this house in Wilmington's first subdivision! Our penthouse on Front Street, The View on Front Street, is phenomenal and located in the middle of it all. Our Historic Firehouse Suite on 5th & Castle is busy most weekends with weddings and the film industry. This home is located in the quaint, walkable neighborhood of Carolina Place/Ardmore. Lots of artists call this area their home. You just might fall in love with the location as much as my sister, Donna, did! So much so that she lives 2 streets away.
Easy to get to anywhere downtown as this is located near 17th Street & Market Street. Completely renovated Sept/Oct 2022. Beaches are nearby, so you'll find an outdoor shower to rinse away the sand. The fenced-in backyard is perfect for your pup's poo-time! The front porch bed swing is calling you to come and relax...
