Private Room 1bedroom/bathroom suite W/ private porch, firepit, Hot tub & Pool!
Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, Asheville Creek is only minutes from downtown Asheville. This is a one bedroom unit attached to our home but is completely sealed off from the rest of the home. Lounge out in your private covered back porch with firepit and listen to the babbling creek behind the house.
Then you can saunter over to the pool area where you can watch tv/movies from the hot tub on the newly constructed covered deck with a fire going and lay out on the outdoor couch. Please note: this is not a whole house rental. This space is a private room attached to host primary residence. If you have any questions please let us know.
Our stay in this cozy on-suite apartment was overall wonderful! The amenities were exactly as listed and then some! What was really awesome was the filtered water cooler/station available just for us.
The listing itself does not say the room is "sound proof", but there is one poor review that the host responded to (rightfully so, that review was BS) and he/she state the following: "The attached door that separates us from the rest of the home is actually sealed off and sound proof"
Unfortunately we found that to not be true. We could easily hear a conversation being had in the next room. There was also one day where we could easily hear a dog right at the door that separates us. He/she would bark at the slightest noise or commotion. Not a deal breaker for us, we're used to dogs barking.
By no means is this a complaint, just a heads up to those who may book in the future... the bed is big and luxurious but so, so incredibly soft. Much like sleeping on a marshmallow. In the king size bed we found ourselves sunk in the very middle after a few hours of sleep. If you prefer a firmer mattress, you will not enjoy the bed.
We had a great time and the host was nothing but accommodating!
This was a very comfortable place to stay. Itâs hard to find a pet friendly place with a king bed and this checked off all our needs. It was also convenient to downtown and I appreciated the hosts attention to details and easy communication. Cleanliness was impeccable!
Such a cute little place! We stayed there for our Minimoon and it was in a great location, close to everything! Would definitely stay there again! And very comfy bed!
Upon arrival we immediately noticed the accommodations looked nothing like the photos. The neighborhood up to the house was not very safe looking and the house across the street was very run down with what appeared junk cars in the yard.. When entering the house we noticed a stale musty odor. The Room was munch smaller than depicted and didnât appear very clean. The toilet would not flush and the grout surrounding the tub was dirty. When going to the private deck which was much smaller than pictured we noticed the rug was torn and badly worn on one are. In order to get to the hot tub or pool you had to walk past the owners rooms and their deck on grass that you sank into if you missed the stepping stones. The flowing creek was not picturesque as described in was an overgrown bank and it was very close to the walkway to the pool and hot tub. You are separated from the owners by one locked door so really not much privacy.
The good: Morgan is an EXCELLENT communicator. We were very clear on where we were going and how we were getting in when we headed to her home, and when we got there it was marked and lit and welcoming. It's decorated beautifully, and the creek is very peaceful. We had nearly every streaming service we could want, and Morgan is generous enough to leave coffee and creamer in the room for guest use. There were towels galore, and I even found a curling iron. The location is also very good- we were minutes from lots of good eats, downtown, and Biltmore.
The not so good: I noticed a few things here and there that have been missed when cleaning. It's overall clean, just some details that haven't been touched in a minute. Also, the toilet became a constant bit between my partner and I because it doesn't flush well and takes FOREVER to refill. There was a plunger very nearby, and we needed it. The bed seemed like it might, very literally, be on its last legs. And finally, I want to really, really emphasize for people coming to VRBO looking for a whole home- THIS IS A ROOM THAT IS ATTACHED TO THEIR HOME AND SEPARATED BY AN INTERIOR DOOR. We had the idea that it shared the property, but it's straight up just the right side of the home, and you can clearly hear each other.
The bad: Dogs. They have at least two dogs and they stay by the separating door when their family isn't home and just bark. This is annoying, and was a nightmare when I was trying to sleep off a migraine.
Property was clean and well equipped. We stayed one night. Quiet location and close to downtown. Bed was comfortable. We didn't use the outdoor space as it was pretty chilly.
Was a little disappointed in the condition of the property (pool was not in use for the colder weather but was just a mess and not covered). Very little return communication from the property manager but otherwise it was as described, just not very private.
This is a great location for visiting Asheville. Itâs easy to get into town. And close to great restaurants The bed is comfortable and the towels are nice and fluffy. We did not have time to enjoy the hot tub fire pit area, but it was nicely arranged and cutely decorated. Hosts were easy to communicate with
This was the perfect place for my husband and son to stay on their hiking trip. Everything was clean, owners were helpful and the hot tub was great after hiking. Thank you!
Property was spacious, clean and comfortable for our family of 4. It was right on a creek with a great pool and hot tub (with a tv!). The water pressure was great, the bed was comfy, and the owners were very responsive. We were minutes from great parkway hiking trails and equally as close to downtown. Awesome experience!
Hello! We are Morgan and Nick Lewis. We love to have adventures. We took the biggest one of all and moved to Asheville to start our new life as a married couple. We were SuperHost when we rented out our RV in Asheville to families and /or couples who wanted to try out the RV lifestyle. We have since sold the RV and currently rent out half of our home.
We decided to rent out half of our home as a Vacation Rental because we are so close to Downtown Asheville and we do not need the extra space.
We hope you enjoy your stay and if there is anything you need please let us know! If you need any tips or trick of what to do in Asheville we would be happy to recommend local spots and adventures.
This property is less that 5 min to downtown Asheville, 3.5 miles to The Biltmore House, 2.5 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway and many more attractions!
While you do not have access to the whole home you have access to all outdoor amenities. You have your own private entrance, back porch with firepit, and enjoy the pool area with newly built outdoor covered deck with hot tub, tv, firepit and outdoor lounge.
