La Jolla Beach Home with Ocean Views, One Block from Beach

Fabulous Beach Home located one block from beautiful beach and a few blocks from the famous Wind N Sea Beach. Second story Master Suite has doors opening 13' to look out on the ocean with constant cool sea breezes. There is a deck off the bedroom for cocktails or dining. The suite has an office with internet, Wi-Fi, computer. Master Suite has flat screen TV, fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, and shower with ocean view.

Downstairs bedroom #1 has a complete bath, queen bed plus queen size loft that sleeps two, and a flat screen HD TV.
Downstairs bedroom #2 has a new complete tile bath, a queen bed and flat screen HD TV.

There is a downstairs deck with lounges and ocean views. Back yard is a brick patio with a lot of seating with a gas BBQ.

Living room has high beamed ceiling, 55" flat screen HD TV and a gas wood burning fireplace and there is plenty firewood.

This is a very 'Kid' friendly house.

great La Jolla house

This was a great house for our La Jolla vacation. The location is fantastic and the accommodations are outstanding. Our family of 5 including 2 teenage boys and grandmom all had an amazing time and plenty of space. The views from the house are great and it is so well stocked, with a newly renovated kitchen that has all the amenities you could need. It even has boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella and beach toys. Couldn't ask for a better house or a better host. John was great to work with.

Great House in La Jolla!

We LOVED our vacation to San Diego. We were so happy with our choice to stay in La Jolla at this house. It had everything we needed. It is truly as nice as the pictures! We loved sitting on the balcony watching the sunsets or taking a minute walk to the beach. Our kids are 14, 12 and 9 and it was perfect for our family of 5. My morning runs were wonderful and we loved walking to the village. It was a great place to relax after a day of sight seeing. John is so friendly and helpful. I hope we can visit again soon.

Wonderful Trip to La Jolla!

Our family had a fantastic stay at this wonderful house in La Jolla. The house was very clean and inviting and well maintained. John, the owner, was very quick to answer any questions and to offer suggestions on things to do nearby. The pictures of the view from the master bedroom do not do it justice. We opened the doors to the upstairs balcony when we arrived and did not close them until the day we left. We could have easily spent the entire week just sitting on the upstairs balcony watching the waves crash on the shore. We were there during the 4th of July week, so La Jolla was really busy. But every time we would come back to the house, we could feel a sense of calmness when we walked through the door. What a great place to relax! I would absolutely recommend this house to everyone. We plan on going back as often as possible.

We stayed in this house with our 3 young kids. Honestly, the best vacation! This house was perfect and so cozy! It is only a couple blocks from the beach. So we walked down everyday to play football or go for a walk. When you wake up in the master bedroom (2nd floor) you are literally looking over the ocean without any obstructions. Amazing way to wake up!!! The kids have a cute loft bed .... They are still talking about it!! Walking distance to eating, coffee and shops. The owners were the best part.... So helpful and accommodating!!! We can't thank them enough for their hospitality! We have vacationed to all major us cities, Hawaii and Europe.... This is still my favorite relaxing vacation. P.S. clean!!!!

Beautiful setting, wonderful stay!!

Everything about our stay was as we hoped it would be! The views are gorgeous from both decks, the walk to the beach was easy (a short block away) and the house is clean, bright and beautifully decorated in beach casual. John & Katie were warm, welcoming and always available to help or answer questions. We loved our stay! We will definitely return!!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay here with our family of 7 for the week. It was a short walk to the ocean which the kids loved. The kitchen was fully stocked...they had nice beach chairs and umbrellas as well as boogie boards and sand toys. We loved our visit to La Jolla and will be back!! 😊

Beautiful house in an amazing location

We could not have been happier with our recent stay. The house is located one block from the beach and has everything we could have wanted including a newly renovated master bath with jacuzzi tub, pack n play and booster chair for kids, and any beach chair/umbrella/toy you could ever want. Complete with all the comforts of home for our two young children and parents, it provided epic sunset views with easy access to La Jolla and its associated beach community. The owner (John) was always available to address any questions and provided expert advice. Thanks again for a wonderful week.

We love staying here. We coming every year, sometimes twice. It’s right down the street from the beach and close to restaurants and shops. The house is beautiful and clean. John and Katie are fantastic hosts!

We love staying here! We have been renting from John and Katie for 5yrs now. They are so nice and accommodating. The house Ian adorable and has wonderful views of the ocean and sunsets. Great house and location

My family and I (6 adults and one baby) had a really wonderful time in La Jolla. The house was very clean, had spacious common rooms, and was super charming. There were plenty of bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs, kitchen items, amongst other things you would look for while on vacation. It was super convenient to have a washer and dryer as well! The balconies had great views and the balcony from the master bedroom was just gorgeous. The master bedroom is all around beautiful and the 2 rooms on the main floor are very cute. One downside in the downstairs rooms is that space is limited so if you are a couple, you can't really unpack your suitcases (there is a small armoire in one of the rooms). But we got over that quickly as the house is so pretty and in such a great great location! You can quickly walk to the beach and into town for coffee, breakfast, restaurants or a little shopping. We would definitely stay in this house again. The owner, John, was very kind, responsive, and accommodating and treated us as very welcomed guests! We stayed 6 days and were all very sad to leave.

You won't be disappointed .....

This home is very, very comfortable and easy to be in with a large kitchen area, great room with adjacent dining and of course, the views and the ocean breeze. The master bedroom suite on the second floor opens to its own deck with, again, even better views. We never closed those doors during the entire time we were there. The home was very clean and well kept. The location is perfect as well. One block to the beach and 6-8 blocks to the center of the Village itself. John is awesome to work with and very accommodating. We highly recommend this home.

Awesome location and beautiful home

This is a great property in a wonderful location. Our family of five enjoyed a week stay just before the July 4th holiday. The owner, John, lives in the guest house in the back and is easily accessible to help with anything you need. We enjoyed everything about the home but especially the upstairs patio off of the master bedroom, the loft bed in the back bedroom, the beach chairs and equipment, and the cool ocean breezes that flow through the many open windows. The booking process with John was very easy and he was very responsive in answering all of my questions. The home was ready to go when we arrived and he was there to give us keys, walk through the home, and provide lots of great restaurant suggestions. My wife and I were very appreciative of the welcome gift and enjoyed it on the upstairs porch watching the sun set over the ocean while listening to the waves crash on the beach. The house is only two blocks from Marine street beach which appears to get mostly locals. There are beatiful rock settings at the ends of the small beach for excellent photo opportunities. You are also within a short walk to lots of unique and good restaurants (The Cottage is a must try for breakfast). It's a three minute drive to the grocery store and a 15 minute drive to La Jolla Shores for a big public beach, kayak rides, surfing lessons, an aquarium and more restaurants. It only took us 30 minutes to get to downtown San Diego and the the typical attractions like the zoo and the USS Midway. Interestingly, the traffic and activity in the area is heaviest mid-day and calm at the beginning and end of the day. I had assumed it would be the opposite. I have stayed at a number of vacation rentals and this one has, by far, been the best (in value, quality, experience). I highly recommend this property and, if I'm ever back to SD for vacation, will stay here again. Thanks, John, for a wonderful experience.

A great beach house in wonderful La Jolla

Our family of 8 recently stayed at this lovely beach house located in a quiet and charming neighborhood. It is warm and inviting as well as beautifully decorated. The master suite on the second floor has a wall of sliding glass doors that open to a large balcony with a fantastic view of the ocean. Two bedrooms downstairs are very comfortable. The location is great. It is a hop, skip, and a jump to the neighborhood beach as well as easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and downtown La Jolla. The property was very clean and well maintained. The owner was on site and easily accessible to answer any questions or concerns. This was the second year we stayed here and highly recommend it to all.

Great vacation home!

We just returned from a wonderful week at this gorgeous house. One of the rare instances the house exceeds expectations - even better than the photos! We had our two young girls with us and house is very kid friendly. The owners could not have been more accommodating. Ditto on all other reviews re location, views, space. I highly recommend it.

Amazing Stay in This Wonderful Home

We just returned from our stay in this wonderful vacation home. The home was exceptionally clean, wonderfully furnished and perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need for a fantastic vacation. The views from the master bedroom were spectacular. There was also a large, gorgeous tub. The home is perfectly situated right down the street from a wonderful beach. Our children thought the loft bed was cool and enjoyed using the boogie boards/sand toys. John, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with. We were sad to leave. Great House Perfect Location

Wow! We have stayed in 3 houses in La Jolla and this one is definitely our favorite! The location is perfect. It is a cozy family house (perfect for the 6 of us), within walking distance to our favorite beach, and the views from the Master Bedroom are incredible! Not only did we wake up every morning to the beautiful ocean view, I woke up a couple nights during the week to see an amazing full moon over the ocean…very, very beautiful. We will definitely return.

Extraordinary location and PERFECT in every way!

We recently returned from our stay at John's wonderful home and have nothing by great things to say about our experience! We have travelled all over the world and this is one of the best trips we have been on with our kids, hands-down. We are very picky about where we stay (and have been disappointed too many times) and this house is definitely at the top of our list. The photos just don't do this home any justice! The views are stunning and everything is much better than described. Our family of 4, including 2 small children felt like we were right at home. The home is well-equipped for any family and we particularly appreciated the abundance of children's toys to keep the kids entertained while having plenty of space to relax with and without them! Beautiful beaches are steps away and La Jolla Village is just a 10 minute stroll through the amazing (and QUIET!) town of La Jolla. John was very pleasant and easy to work with and went above and beyond to accommodate us in every way. We researched all of the comparable homes in the area before booking this one, and we can tell you this has them ALL beat! Thank you again John, we will be back!

wonderful experience

There's nothing better than when you plan a family vacation and your husband and kids look at you upon arriving to your destination and say "you nailed it mommy!" We truly could not have asked for a more beautiful home in an absolutely perfect setting/location. We loved everything about the layout of the house; two kids and two adults and we had plenty of space to spare. What rounded out our picture perfect stay was John's guidance on where to get and do the best of everything that La Jolla has to offer. We stayed a mere week and would happily do another two, three or more. We will not soon forget the amazing views coupled with the wonderful hospitality of our host. Such a treat. Put us on the wait list for 2012 John!

Fantastic!!

Our family of 5 love this fantastic property. Great location, amazing views, room for the kids to play and an owner who was more than helpful in ensuring our stay was perfect. We rarely used our car and enjoyed the easy walks to numerous beaches (the closest is 2 blocks!), parks, restaurants and entertainment. Everything we needed was included here - from enjoying a day at the beach to cooking an outstanding meal, we wanted for nothing. The kids are already asking when we get to go back to "our" beach house (me included!).

Great Vacation Rental

My family just recently stayed at this home and absolutely loved it! Everything about it was just what you would need to have a great vacation. The comfortable feeling you get when you first walk in the home and the closeness of it to the beach and other amenitities made this vacation rental a top spot to stay. The views from the top deck are amazing and a nice relaxing spot to sit. We would definately come back and rent from John again!!

Wow, wow and more wow

We just finished our stay at this property and it far exceeded my expectations. Like a previous reviewer I hate to say how great it was for fear it will be constantly booked:) The owner is so friendly and easy going and made the entire experience so enjoyable. The location is perfect in so many ways. Exceptional ocean views, extremely close walk to the beach, walking distance to shopping and so much more. If you really want the beach house experience this place is for you. Believe it or not we stayed right in the house a lot because it is decorated so beautifully, has ample room, and did I mention those amazing views of the ocean? I would recomment this property to my friends but only if they take me along.

Wonderful getaway

I am sorely tempted not to write this review as I really want this property to be available solely for when we need it! You will adore this home, it has everything and more you will need for a fabulous vacation. The owners couldn't have been more hospitable. A great house with a view!!

This house is wonderful. The photos do not do justice for the house nor the spectacular ocean view. The house nicely accommodated my four kids, wife and I. We loved the beach toys, BBQ grill, even the boogie boards, plus much more! The house was very clean, nice organized and made it easy to transition and start enjoying La Jolla. Look forward to staying again in the future!!

My wife I and are from the East Coast but fell in love with La Jolla and moved here in 1984 with all the kids in tow. We love the Village, the restaurants, beaches and the fabulous weather. Average low is 58 degrees and average high is 72 degrees! It is always cool at night and requires blankets!
