Rustic Clean Cabin

Overall the cabin was clean and had all the necessary supplies. We thought the cabin was dark and we had to move the chair that was blocking the heater. The neighborhood was quiet and close to Lassen Volcano NP.

Disappointing and UNSAFE—Not the Rustic Charm as Advertised

Hello, My stay at this "Rustic Cabin" was anything but the cozy, non nature-filled retreat. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the listing was misleading. The cabin was far more run-down than the photos suggested, with unsafe conditions along with snow and Icy filled all along the front walkway house and unsafe icy stairs.Cabin condition is in musty odor that never faded. While Cleanliness was a major issue. I’m all for a rustic vibe, but basic hygiene should never be compromised. Amenities were practically nonexistent as the listing mentioned a "fully equipped kitchen”, but the stove didn’t work as per the expectations Given the snow conditions and freezing temperatures 1st floor both bedrooms heating is not working, and we ended up in sleepless night.This cabin is a textbook example of false advertising. Save your money. I’ve stayed in rustic cabins before, but this crossed the line into neglect. Steer clear!

Wonderful mountain cabin

Booked the rustic cabin for 3 nights this week but due to unforeseen reason, didn’t make it to the cabin until the 2nd night. Immediately messaged Erica, the host to make sure that we can still go. She is very accommodating, professional but friendly. We’ve been to multiple cabins but this is the first time we found one that we liked in VRBO. The rustic mountain cabin in lassen is by far the cleanest and well-stocked place we’ve ever been to, from dining/kitchen supplies (even has crackpot available) to beddings/towels/, cleaning supplies, heaters, kids/adult entertainment (has DVDs, books, ping-pong table, sleds, board games). Has ample enough outlets too so that you can charge your gadgets anywhere you are. It’s very cozy, and welcoming. We arrived with available snacks and bottle of wine available ready on the dining table. Has a binder with basic instructions and guides for your stay. The cabin has the rustic touch with some modern-day comfort. The cabin was well organized and layout was well planned. Not even a single appliance cord out of place! I love the layout of the house with the porch/first floor balcony//grill area on the side of the dining area, near the kitchen. The downstairs balcony is perfect for enjoying coffee in the morning, stargazing at night and family outdoor meals. The bedroom is comforting. Very cute duvet. The bigger of the 2 rooms upstairs has a balcony too with small tables and 4 chairs, perfect for kids/teenagers

My wife and I are expecting a baby in May. We needed one last get away and chose this cabin because it was secluded and quiet. Erica was super helpful every step of the way. The cabin was clean with easy instructions to operate the heater and get a fire started. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Thank you again for having us!

New Year’s Eve

We baked a few Costco take and bake pizzas, played games and drove up to see it snowing in the park to ring in the new year. The next morning we drove to the Subway cave and Burney Falls. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and had everything to make our quick trip enjoyable. The location was perfect. Ping pong was fun!

Wonderful Thanksgiving at the Cabin!

This cabin is a very nice combination of modern updates and a cozy log cabin that made a fantastic stay for Thanksgiving. It's really ideally situated between Shingletown and Lassen NP-- if you would like to cook it's easy, and if you want to go to town for groceries or pizza it's not far at all. It was probably one of the best stocked rentals I have been in-- from tasty snacks and wine to having all the pots and pans we needed for a holiday dinner. We did some winter hiking around Manzanita Lake and on the Pacific Crest trail and was pleasantly surprised on how amazing it was during this season with so few people. The stars are amazing at night, whether you walk down the road or take a short drive. Thanks for the special memories.

Fantastic cabin with great proximity to Lassen Volcanic!

Cabin was perfect, very well-stocked kitchen with all the cooking supplies we needed, host was super responsive, less than 15 minutes to the national park entrance. Highly recommend.

My adult children joined me for a milestone birthday celebration. This cabin was so welcoming and comfortable with well equipped kitchen. We loved this place! The owner was very responsive.

Great Escape

Was a happy occasion for us. My grand daughter was getting married at the Grace Lake resort on a Thurs and Friday. We were a party of 4. All above age of 60. Accommodations were excellent. Well stocked kitchen with the extras you need but didn't want ti pack. We saw turkeys (5) lots of deer and Gray Squirrels.Evenings were brisk and enjoyable to sit on deck and listen to pine trees in the wind.

Perfect spot to visit Lassen Volcanic NP

Each year we select a different NP to visit and explore. This year we selected 2 National Parks in northern CA. Our first stop was Lassen Volcanic and we selected this rental.property as it was only 9 miles from the western entrance. We could not have been more pleased with our choice. Erica was great to work with. She responded to our questions right away, including concerns we had about the Park's fire impacting the area. The house was just as described - clean, comfortable with everything in good working order. Plenty of linens, towels, kitchen items, household supplies, etc. We appreciated having a washer and dryer to launder our hiking clothes. After a long day in the Park, we came back to a quiet, comfortable space. We loved sitting out on the deck by the fire under the canopy of pine trees. Thank you Erica for sharing this wonderful place with us!

Mountain Cabin Magic

This property is gorgeous inside and out! We stayed here while visiting Lassen Volcanic NP. The location was great. The kitchen was fun to cook in and sitting on the deck eating our dinner while listening to the cicadas sing was memorable. With the big window in the shower we felt like we were outside. This cabin is exceptional!

Lassen Park Visit

This cabin was perfect for our visit to Lassen. Conveniently located just outside the park, the interior and space were amazing. We were concerned about wildfires just before our visit, but we were able to stay in contact with the host who was very responsive and reassuring. A great visit!

Perfect stay for visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park

The cabin was so beautiful and peaceful. It very comfortably slept 5 adults. We loved the fire table and having coffee on the back deck. I highly recommend this beautiful home!

Another great stay near Lassen

We enjoyed our third visit to this property. It is clean, quiet, and convenient to Lassen Nat'l Park. The kitchen is very well equipped, with ample counter space. The king bed in the downstairs bedroom (the only one we used) is very comfortable. I had forgotten that it has A/C units as we hadn't needed them in the past. With this summer's hot weather it was much appreciated for a couple of the days we were there. Overall, we highly recommend!

This charming cabin-like house exudes mountain cabin charm and is ideally situated for a Lassen Park adventure. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped with pots, pans, and everything needed for cooking in. It might be the best-equipped VRBO kitchen we've enjoyed over the years. We would definitely return!

Great Few Days

We loved our stay at Ericas place. It was clean, very well stocked and the beds were the most comfortable ever! The deck was awesome and we loved playing ping pong in the garage. Lassen was beautiful and so close. If we are back this way we will stay again!

Great location, great place

This beautiful cabin is located in the middle of the woods, and the modern yet authentic interiors make it the perfect spot for a vacation in the area. The house was very well equipped, and we rate it 10/10. We will be back for sure!

The cabin is very modern: kitchen, appliances, comfy beds, and wonderfully decorated. Spotless. It is incredibly close to the entrance of the park and so very convenient. Great wifi, TV and laundry too.

Best possible choice

We spent the Memorial Day weekend at Erica’s cottage the second year in a row. It is still as wonderful as it was last year. We had great time in Lassen National Park, there is plenty to see and do. This cottage is a great place to be your starting point to your visit at the park. It has everything you’d need for your stay. I hope we’ll be back soon!

Peaceful break

Enjoyed the peace and quiet with enough amenities to keep us sane (good WiFi). Close to Lassen NP, easy to get to, appreciated the laundry and comfy beds. didn't take advantage of the games or Ping pong table but appreciated those for larger family stays.

Spring break getaway

We had a nice time! The weather was not what we expected so we ended up staying at the house a lot more than we thought we would. because of the comforts of the home that was just fine ping-pong competitions, movie watching, gameplay, evenings by the fire, everything was there to enjoy!
