The Hideout is centrally located in the Stanislaus National Forest tucked away under the shady cedars of Long Barn, Ca. The Bohemian-Inspired space is perfect for couples, or solo travelers looking for a comfortable place to relax and unwind after a day of adventure. Perfect home base to explore state parks, multiple lakes, rivers, and countless hiking trails in the area. Pinecrest Lake, Dodge Ridge Ski Resort, and Black Oak Casino, & the charming town of Twain Harte are all within 15 miles.
THE SPACE
Romantic couples getaway awaits! Completely renovated in 2021. New mini split Air Conditioning units installed just in time for summer. 600 ft.² accommodations include a one-bedroom with a queen-size bed and a loft with a full-size bed. Freshly washed towels and hand towels are provided in the bathroom upon each guest's arrival. The bathroom has a corner shower with a dispenser of shampoo, condition, and body soap for guests to utilize. Stainless steel appliances and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals. A magic bullet for blending smoothies, or better yet… MARGARITAS, toaster, and waffle maker are available for guests. Large covered deck with outdoor seating. Propane BBQ for grilling and bistro lights on timer throughout the property for ambiance. The cabin is located across the street from the historical Long Barn Ice Skating Rink.
Do you have more than 4 guests? The Hideout shares the grounds with “The Lookout” its sister property right next door. They are identical cabins that are perfect for two couples or two small families to enjoy a vacation together but also have their own space to retreat too.

Stairs to the loft area are steep. Access to the loft has low ceilings. Please use caution.
SATELLITE INTERNET
Due to the rural location of the cabin, satellite Internet is provided. Streaming is not supported.
HOLIDAY
The week of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years' holiday there is a 3-night minimum. Memorial Day and Labor Day there is a 3-night minimum. Holiday pricing starts at $199/night.
PLEASE NOTE: That check-out or check-in is not accepted on Thanksgiving Day Day, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
EXTRA GUESTS
Guest count must be the same as on the reservation. Keep in mind there is an added $10/night fee for each guest over 2 to cover extra cleaning and amenity usage.
MINI SPLITS AC/ HEATER
Please turn off units in both the loft and in living room when not in cabin. Please ensure doors and windows are closed when units are in use. Excessive use could result in a service charge.
PET POLICY
Pets must be approved. Small breeds only under 30lbs. $20.00 pet fee per night / per dog. 2 dogs max. If your pet is approved please follow our pet rules:
1.) Please no pets on furniture.
2.) Dogs must be leashed at all times outside Cabin.
3.) Dogs can not be left unattended at the cabin.
4.) Please have your dog potty in the front or the side of the cabin. The land behind our property is not ours. It belongs to a neighbor that has asked us not to have dogs on their land. Please be respectful and pick up all poopoo.
5.) If we receive barking complaints from neighbors, we will kindly inform you so that you can be mindful of the noise.
HOUSE RULES
That Hideout is a sanctuary for couples and professionals seeking relaxation in a peaceful environment. We have a strict 4 guest per stay visit. During the check in process guest count will be confirmed. Security camera will be shut off after successful check-in. In the event that more guests are confirmed, we may charge up to $150/night per additional guest. Please let us know in advance if your plans have changed.
Cabin is not childproof. Parents are responsible for supervising children/minors at all time. Please do not allow children to utilize the loft stairs or loft area unsupervised. Use caution when utilizing the stairs as their is low ceilings.
Outdoor Warming Fire
Warming fires need to be approved by host to confirm that we are not in high fire season. If a warming fire has been approved, the warming fire shall only be lit in the fire-pit area only. We ask you to follow Cal Fire's warming fire regulations; only logs 3 inches or more in diameter. No sticks, twigs or pine needles in fire. Fire can not be more than two feet high. For fire safety, please utilize the water hose located at the back of the cabin to extinguish the fire when finished with it. Please keep hose handy if the fire gets too big. NEVER LEAVE A FIRE UNATTENDED. Failure to abide by this rule will forfeit your security deposit.
Our cabin has a septic tank. PLEASE ONLY TOLIET PAPER FLUSHED DOWN THE TOILET. Please no feminine products or baby wipes flushed. Our septic tank thanks you!
Sound travels very easy in this area. Please respect the fellow cabins. Quiet hours enforced at 10pm in this area. If we receive, complaints regarding noise, we will kindly provide you guys a heads up. If the complaints continue your security deposit will be collected.
No smoking- This is a non smoking property. Please no smoking of any kind on the premises. If smoking is detected, your deposit will not be returned.
Any type of illegal drug use or excessive drinking will terminate the rental agreement and your deposit will not be returned.
Please no sledding on our neighbors property. Our property is okay :).
BBQ- Guests are responsible for cleaning the barbecue after each use. Thank you!

Due to the tight schedule our housekeeper keeps, it is important to check out no later than 11am unless otherwise approved. $10.00 will be charged for every 15 minutes past check out time.
Please move all furniture, outdoor furniture and household items back to their original locations. Guests are responsible for washing dishes upon departure.
Please place all trash in the trashcan located at the end of the driveway on Ellmaro Rd.
If you utilized the BBQ during your stay, please clean the grill and place the bbq cover back on.
If you utilized the Hammock, please shake it out and place back in the cabin on the hooks in the kitchen.
Please set thermostat to 50°. DO NOT SHUT OFF THERMOSTAT at the risk of freezing pipes
Close all windows, shut blinds and lock doors upon departure
