LOCATION
The Desert Compass is located in historic Old Town, Albuquerque. Directly across the street is Tiguex Park, the entrance to historic Old Town plaza, the Albuquerque Museum, and a block away is the Museum of Natural History, Explora Science Museum, and Sawmill neighborhood, with the newly built Sawmill Market - an upscale food hall featuring some of the city's best food and drinks.
Historic Old Town has been the heart of Albuquerque since the city was founded here in 1706. Today, Old Town is the city's cultural center, with numerous museums and more than 100 shops, galleries and restaurants. Old Townâs narrow streets and century-old adobe houses are home to New Mexican eateries serving enchiladas and sopapilla pastries, and tiny artisan shops selling jewelry, rugs and pottery. Old Town Plaza is a charming spot overlooked by the 18th-century San Felipe de Neri Church. Nearby, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science has dinosaur skeletons, while the Albuquerque Museum displays Southwestern art.
PET FRIENDLY
The Coyote Suite is pet friendly to well behaved pets, with a $50 pet fee per pet (2 maximum) and agreement to our pet rules:
- Keep pets leashed at all times while on the property.
- Clean up all pet waste immediately (we prefer if you take pets across the street to use the restroom at the park when possible).
- Pets are not allowed on the furniture. If you absolutely cannot keep them off, please cover any furniture thoroughly (we provide a pet blanket to cover the sofa in a basket in the room).
- Do not allow pets to bark incessantly or cause disturbance to the other guests.
- By bringing a pet, you agree that you will pay for any and all damages caused by pets to furniture or furnishings at the property and that you agree to our pet rules.
CHILDREN UNDER 12
Are allowed at The Coyote Suite, but we first like to inform guests with children that this space is not designed to be an especially child friendly (it has high end art, plants, and vintage items within reach of small hands), and you may need to keep a close eye and move things out of reach during your stay. We ask that you be the judge of whether this is an appropriate space for your individual child to stay, as you'll be responsible for any damages.
