Cool and Comfy

We loved this centrally located flat. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable, the A/C worked great, the kitchen was well stocked, and the huge washer and dryer were a big help to us. Easy access to shopping, restaurants, and highways. Great value for the price!

Disappointing Stay

We stayed at this VRBO property and unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations due to several key issues that were not disclosed in the listing.First, the dishwasher was completely out of service, with a sign taped on it stating so — something that should have been fixed or at least mentioned ahead of time.Second, the cleanliness of the home was subpar. The carpets, especially on the stairs, had a strong, unpleasant odor that made the space feel unclean from the moment we arrived.Third, the listing promised a patio with a trampoline and swings, which was a major draw for us as we were traveling with two young children. Unfortunately, none of these amenities were functional or safe to use.Most importantly — and most disappointing — was discovering that the patio area was not private, as implied in the listing. It was actively used during the day by a daycare operating on the first floor, making it uncomfortable and inappropriate for us to use the outdoor space. This directly impacted our plans to enjoy outdoor family time and BBQs — a central reason we chose this property.We considered reaching out to support immediately, but after a long drive from Florida and trying to settle in with two small kids, we hoped things would improve. Unfortunately, they didn’t.In short, the listing did not reflect the actual condition or usage of the property.

Upon arrival we met the owner. She was such a gracious host and kind woman .She was so accommodating and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient & Comfortable!

Perfect location for easy access to walkable Englewood! It is a second-floor condo with interior stairs. The condo is clean with comfortable furniture and gives you a warm cozy feeling :) Being pet friendly with access to a yard is a plus as well!

Family Friendly

This was a very welcoming home. The host did a great job communicating with us. We traveled up for my son’s graduation and had just the right amount of space. This apartment is located upstairs so keep that in mind when booking. We have no complaints. The surrounding area is quiet and we felt safe. There is also plenty of food places and a grocery store nearby.

Clean and Cozy

This rental was clean and cozy. It had alot of the older good quality furniture it reminded me of that comforting feeling I used to get at my Grandmas when i was a kid. The kitchen was fully stocked which i loved. Two of the 3 bedrooms didnt have a tv so that was a little different than im used to. We had a hiccup with locking the doors but Georgia was available to fix that issue quickly. Overall not a bad place to stay.

Englewood Condo

The location was very near to our event which was perfect. The stairs were a bit much for us. We were told there was a designated parking space before we got there and there was no mention of an addtl charge for that until the day we got there. For the price of the apartment and the size of the space I feel it should have been included. We paid as we had more than one vehicle and on street parking was extremely limited. The rooms were comfortable and clean however one room only had a floor fan and it was quite warm. I would agree that the bathroom needs updating but it was sufficient. The neighborhood was quiet. We did not use the backyard. There were clothes and sheets left in the washing machine and dryer so we were not able to use it but not a big concern. I was frantic at the end when I thought I left my purse on the stoop and the property managers were very empathetic and followed up with me to see how it turned out (thankfully I found it!). Very nice people. Overall the apartment met our needs.

For what we needed

We were in town 2 nights for a family wedding in a nearby town. Booking was easy, price a little high for the space but I’d guess that’s based on demand of being close to NYC. A few issues, 2/3 rooms have AC, it was VERY hot while we were there, and 1 of the AC rooms bed was broken so we had to use the room without AC. My in laws reached out to the host to share about the bed and they said they were aware but didn’t have time to fix it in between stays, online the listing still says there is a full 24 hours between occupants (covid protocol that may be out of date I’m guessing?). The second night we arrived back around 10:30 and there was an extremely loud party going on in the backyard, so loud it sounded like it was in our unit. I messaged the host and my husband walked down to talk to the party goers and turns out it was our hosts party. They were kind enough but I’m not sure about renting out a unit and then throwing a big party? Turned the music down shortly after for about 10 minutes, then back on until a thunderstorm shut it down for the night. Next morning when we were checking out it was a torrential downpour and the host messaged me right before time to say we needed to get out for the cleaners or we were going to be charged by the half hour past check out time, though we were actually already out and it seemed a little inconsiderate to threaten due to the noise issues the night before.

Buyer Beware

The property depicted in the photos is not what you will experience once you are on site. The rental is above a daycare (not included in listing) and it’s a second floor apartment with a narrow entryway. We stayed for a long weekend and the host only communicated through the app leaving no written instructions about the property. Also the host’s expectation was that we ask HER questions instead of providing us with the information up front. We had to ask about everything making for a very confusing and inconvenient stay since we weren’t aware of the limitations of the rental. The host also neglected to tell us during check in that the washer/dryer could not be used. This resulted in a smoking dryer incident on day 2 in the laundry closet! Of course 3 hours prior to this the host had messaged that washer/dryer use was only for extended stay rentals. The whole thing could have been avoided had we been given written instructions at the time of check in. The cleanliness of the rental was questionable (old tub with a makeshift shower; worn kitchen appliances and furniture; scarred floors and water stained ceilings) depending upon your personal standards. It didn’t meet mine and there were limited cleaning supplies on hand. I was finally able to speak with the host the day of check out and both she and her “co-owner” were incredibly rude and dismissive of my concerns. Avoid this listing it isn’t worth the money.

Nice place

Nice apartment, good size and clean. Host was very responsive. Good location to get to NYC. Loved that it had 3 bedrooms, two had air conditioning one only a fan. Family room good size and cute little kitchen. Steps inside leading to apartment are very steep and not many pans in the kitchenette . Bathroom really needs yo be updated especially the tub. The driveway has a parking spot you can rent for your stay. Nice to be off the street but it is a very tight spot. All in all, it was comfortable and a pleasant stay

Host canceled on the day of

Terrible experience! Booked a month prior to wedding weekend and traveled from out of State for hours to arrive and have our place canceled on the spot. Refund was made immediately, but we were left to rearrange our trip and come out of pocket until refund kicks in. Never using Vrbo again, or Host.

Nice place/need tvs on the rooms/ make sure you let people know not to lock bottom lock otherwise u can’t get in but overall I would stay again. I’m from Englewood.
