No need to fly across the world, come visit our Mongolian yurt in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills for an experience like none other! Located halfway between the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe, this is the perfect destination to finally try out glamping like you've never seen it before. Five miles north take a dip in beautiful Rollins Lake or simply enjoy the views.
The space
You will have accommodations for 7 people in a truly unique setting with access to many amenities including a swimming pool and sauna. Enjoy the tranquility of a forested setting with the amenities of a zen resort! The 26 ft. Mongolian Yurt can sleep up to 7 people with a queen bed, a double bed, a double futon and a single futon. Other amenities include a sauna, an (unheated) swimming pool with swim-up bar, outdoor kitchen stocked with dishes, large decks and patios, lounges and deck chairs, shade umbrellas, hammock, horseshoe pit and giant chess board. It is the perfect destination for a special occasion, an
overnight stop on a long trip, an extended retreat, or just a chance to get away from it all.

Your glamping accommodations include the following:
-Climate-controlled sleeping accommodations for 7 in the yurt
-Fast-speed wifi in the yurt and pool side (many guests have worked remotely from our yurt!)
-Shared swimming pool with lounge chairs and patio furniture
-Jetted hot tub with built in stereo
-Outdoor kitchen with stove, sink, bbq and dishes/utensils
-Patio, picnic table and giant chess
-Fire pit area decorated with string lights
-Microwave, compact fridge and coffee maker with coffee and tea provided
-Bedding, bath towels, pool towels
-Detached bathroom, sauna and shower just steps from the yurt patio
-Heating and Air Conditioning unit and gas fireplace

There is a primary home on site that shares the pool. Please do not disturb the residents and do not block in any cars; park in the provided reserved AirBnB parking spaces.

Please keep in mind that this is a glamping experience, not a 5 star hotel and this unique property occasionally has some unique issues. We are readily available to address any concerns but appreciate your understanding that the character of the yurt and property are what make it so special!
Guest access
Guests have access to the yurt, pool area, outdoor kitchen, horseshoe pit and fire pit/chess board area. Do not wander around the property beyond these specified areas, up the stairs or ramp leading to the house, and do not go to the house on site. There is a family living on site and they are not to be disturbed. Do not block in their cars, park in the reserved spaces provided.
Other things to note
Pool service occurs every week on Monday afternoons

In the wintertime we put a thick cover over the roof opening in the yurt which is very effective at keeping heat in but also doesn’t allow natural light through. Please bear this in mind when booking during the winter months. The small yurt on the property is not weather-proof and is taken down during the wet/winter months.
