Communauté située au centre de Serra Mesa, parfois appelée «Birdland» car toutes les rues portent le nom d'oiseaux. C'est un quartier résidentiel juste au nord de Mission Valley, à 800 mÚtres de l'entrée de l'Interstate 163 qui se connecte à d'autres autoroutes principales et à environ dix minutes en voiture de la plupart des attractions, du centre-ville de San Diego, de Balboa Park, du zoo, de Sea World. , Qualcomm Stadium, Petco Park, Old Town, Seaport village et San Diego International Airport (SAN). Il est à 20 minutes de la frontiÚre de Tijuana et à 30 minutes des terres Lego, du Wild Animal Park et de plusieurs casinos. C'est un excellent emplacement central.

La maison a 4 chambres à coucher. La chambre à cÎté de la chambre principale se double d'un bureau avec un futon de qualité si nécessaire pour dormir et a une porte sur la cour arriÚre. La chambre principale et les quatriÚmes chambres ont toutes deux une salle de bain privée. Le bain principal a une baignoire sur pattes qui vient de l'hÎtel San Diego.

La piscine est une piscine de bonne taille avec une extrémité profonde de 9 pieds, une clÎture de sécurité et un portail à fermeture automatique.

Le parking est dans un abri d'auto et toujours beaucoup de stationnement dans la rue. MĂȘme si vous avez un bateau ou une remorque, il y a une rue au coin qui a beaucoup de place et un voisin a une camĂ©ra de sĂ©curitĂ© qui regarde cette rue.

Very nice house! Perfect for our big family for us to stay and attend our son’s graduation from Marine boot camp. Quick easy 18 minute drive to MCRD!!! The pool was great and hot tub was awesome!

Everyone enjoyed the property and slept comfortably. The pool and jacuzzi were a nice touch, good shade, plenty of towels. One of the sinks was a little backed up, but a mild inconvenience. Everything worked fine. I had to double-check with Vrbo about some check-in concerns which took quite a while to confirm, but was resolved. A camera overlooks the driveway/entrance, not sure if it’s the only one. Though the transactions with the owners went smoothly and they seemed like respectful people. Overall was a pleasant stay, and am grateful.

Loved having the 4 bedrooms. The older boys in the bunk beds and baby had his own room with pack n play. The 3 bathrooms were all used. This house had everything you will need with kids. The pool and hot tub, the kids loved after our busy days. They didn’t want to come home.

Central location /great space

This was a very nice stay- large enough for a family with plenty of extras. Quick drive to downtown, shopping, and easy access to legoland. A safe neighborhood with easy parking and nicely landscaped. Has a fantastic hot tub for a soak, cool pool, handy laundry, and well equipped kitchen.

Summer Getaway

Our family enjoyed staying at this property. It is centrally located to the beaches, shopping, and main attractions. It took approximately 15 minutes to get to our destinations. The pool is amazing and the back yard offers a private setting. If you’re looking for a place that is affordable, safe, and offers certain amenities such as a pool, then consider staying her at the Birdland home.

Great for Our Group

We had an extended family trip with 5 adults and a teen. The bedrooms and bathrooms worked well for us and we all enjoyed the pool! The location is in a residential area so having a car was helpful but ride service prices were reasonable too (20ish from the ballpark after the game). There are a Trader Joe's and a BevMo nearby. The afternoon sun made the poolside bedrooms and the living room pretty warm so we used the box fans to move air around. If you need complete dark to sleep, recommend an eye mask too.We stayed 6 nights and made a couple of grocery runs but the house already had most of what we needed. There were pool towels and extra linens, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, a few coffee pods for the keurig and nespresso machines, a drip coffee pot, and various condiments. We didn't cook but the kitchen had what we needed for easy breakfasts and reheating leftovers. It looked to be supplied for cooking too.It's a challenge to find something that works for 3 generations but this house was perfect for us and we'd definitely stay again!

Overall impression was very good. The property is a little dated and could do with a good deep clean in some places - there were a few cobwebs throughout.The property was well equipped throughout with plenty of kitchen equipment, pool furniture and inflatable toys for the pool too. For any British visitors, there was also a kettle! The pool was fantastic, it was clean and the temperature was just right too. The solar heating does an excellent job. It was really nice to come back each evening and cool off in the pool for a while before dinner.We had one problem with the shower backing up on the second night, but after calling the owner he arranged a drain service visit for the next day. Other than that, we had no issues with the property beyond a few ant incursions. These were easily dealt with using the spray left by the owner and by making sure we cleared the side of all the crumbs each day.In terms of location, it’s easy to find and the check in notes were comprehensive. There’s off road parking for one vehicle, and it’s about 20 minutes to downtown San Diego. The WiFi was fast and reliable which meant the kids were happy.If we are ever in San Diego again we would definitely consider staying here again, it was comfortable and convenient. There is so much to see and do within easy reach of this property.

Perfect Spot For Our Stay

This house is about 8 minutes away from my Daughter's apartment. 2 ways to get there: via surface streets or Freeway. Rooms were good sized with private baths for each of two and one shared for the other two which worked out well for our family. General location is excellent for access to most everything in SD.

Great place!

This was a great location. Everything was close. The pool was wonderful especially after long days walking and site seeing. As others have said, it could use just a little updating but at the same time it was like coming home to grandmas house so there was a bit more of a homey feel than most rentals. The beds were comfortable, the home was very clean, and Jon was extremely thorough in making sure you had great communications. Would definitely stay here again.

The property felt dated but comfortable enough. The pool (per the owner) keeps the water warm as long as the cover is put back on after swimming. Cover is fragile.

Perfect Family Trip

The house was conveniently located to all the major attractions in San Diego. It was wonderful for the whole family to come back to a great pool and hot tub. The 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms worked really well for 6 adults and 2 kids. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was comfortable throughout. John was very responsive, nice to deal with. He even gave us a late check out so our 2 year old could nap before our flight home which was really appreciated.

The listing claimed this was an “entire home,” but it was not. When we arrived, the front door code didn’t work. A man came out and told us to enter through the side door. One bedroom had bunk beds and a window with blinds installed on the outside facing what appeared to be his living quarters—extremely unsettling. Several closets had deadbolts, likely connecting to the other side of the home. His presence was clear, though never disclosed. This shared setup was completely misrepresented.Other issues:Pool full of bugs/debris; my son had to skim it. We also added water to both pool and hot tub.Instructions were vague—especially for shutoffs and pool care.It was 85F inside on arrival with open skylights. No central air. Window units struggled to cool overnight.Constant ant problem. Killer spray left, but no vinegar, and the bottle stopped working. We literally had ants crawling on us—even after leaving.Dirty, dusty dishes in cabinets. We had to wash everything before use.My son cut his foot on a broken pool light. None of the pool or hot tub lights worked.Coffee pot didn’t work. I had to buy one. Keurig and Nespresso weren’t usable.Listing photos seemed outdated and didn’t reflect current conditions.

Wonderful pool area/Quiet neighborhood

We stayed at this house for a week. There were 8 adults and it fit all of us comfortably. It is centrally located and about 15 minutes from the Zoo and Sea World as well as the beach. The home is older but was clean and had everything we needed to cook as well as plenty of towels. The pool area was nice and we spent lots of time there daily. We did deal with some sugar ants in the kitchen and a couple of the bathrooms most of the week off and on. The host was wonderful and came over twice because the pool cleaner was not working and he wanted to replace it. The neighborhood was quiet. We would stay here again.

Family Visit

We enjoyed our stay. The description was accurate, was nice to have supplies stocked for ease and gave it a comfortable feel. Beds were very comfortable and linens were fresh and clean. Pool was used a few times despite chilly weather and was great. Hot tub nice and hot with strong jets. The neighborhood was quiet, easy parking, location was centrally located making all our plans during our trip easy to execute. A few minor critiques would be that when we walked in it was a bit musty smelling but cleared after opening windows and such to air it out. The patio door was very noisy when opened or closed which was a bit annoying but minor. We would recommend this VRBO property and also would stay there again in the future.

Mostly good

The property location, size and accommodations were good for us: 2 adult couples & 2 adult singles. There were things like shower leaks, no patio screen door, squeaky beds and overgrown bushes. But the pool was large and clean, as was the jetted hot tub. Someone had broken the dining table ahead of our stay, but owner came the next morning and made it useable for the remainder of our 5-day visit. If chic furnishings aren't a MUST, then I would recommend this property.

We used for central location for our family wedding we didn't use the pool, but hot tub one night loved the beautiful plants and trees and outside area . Everyone was comfortable and owner was easy to get in touch with. Loved the large dining table that can seat 8 .

This was our home before we moved 30 miles North of San Diego. We have refurbished house with tile throughout and added patio door to office/bedroom. Each room has cable and a TV and Wi-Fi is available throughout the house,.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Solar heated pool during swimming season and covered patio. The location is a prime advantage since your are about 10 minutes from most San Diego attractions but still in a quiet residential neighborhood. There is only one street in and out of area so there is no through traffic.
