Newly remodeled 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with outdoor shower, granite, standing glass doors in the baths and comfy Beautyrest beds. Huge, super private, landscaped backyard with 3 giant oaks. 300 sq foot screened lanai in the middle of nature, additional outdoor shower equals 3 showers. Stay in lucrative Orchid Island; off of mainland Vero Beach, next to Summer Place. We are .5 miles from Disney Vero Beach. Look at the map and don't settle for the mainland. There is no comparison. We are .5 documented miles, and 2.5 minutes by car to the beach. Or, use the provided bikes to bike there in 5 minutes and assure a parking space each time.

Quiet retreat

The neighborhood is very quiet & friendly. There are beaches in either direction about 5 minutes. Grocery store is close & lots to do in either Senastian or Vero Beach. Both anout a 15 minute drive. We were very pleased with our stay

Relaxing stay in Vero Beach

Highly recommend this property. A little more expensive than a standard hotel but what a lovely location and wonderful amenities--easy walk to the beach, bikes to ride along the Jungle Trail, lovely home with 2 comfortable queen beds and generous screened porch out back, gas grill and well-stocked kitchen, quiet neighborhood. The owner is easy to reach.

Loved the personality of this home... it’s truly a delightful stay... Perfect!

Our stay on Frangipani Drive was indeed perfect. The house was the perfect size for our family of four. It was comfortable, clean, nicely decorated as a beach home, everything was in good working order, and the best part was how close it is to a lifeguard protected beach. In addition, Roz was extremely responsive to questions and follow up before and during our stay making the entire process stress free. It is in a friendly neighborhood too!! We hope to go back again next year!!

Peaceful getaway

We enjoyed our January snow birding here very much. The location is fantastic. The house is in a quiet, walker friendly, barrier island single home neighborhood. The location of the house near the bridge made getting off the island very convenient. Access to several county beach parks, with free parking, makes this a great ocean getaway. The house is very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The owners were very supportive in rapidly addressing the few issues that we identified for maintenance.

What a great stay!

This home was just charming! It met all our needs perfectly and is in a peaceful and friendly neighborhood. The location is great and is literally just 2 minutes from Wabasso Beach, an easy walk or drive. We spent nearly a month here with our family which included our 13-year-old dog. This pet friendly home and neighborhood was simply awesome. I would walk my dog late at night and felt completely safe and secure. Our host was wonderful. She was flexible, easily accessible and was great with communication. She had even prepared a folder with great information about the home and the area. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Very Nice!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and well stocked. The property is surrounded by greenery making it feel like there was no one around. I have no complaints about the property, but I probably won't be back, just because of the beaches. Don't get me wrong, the beaches were nice. Despite signs that say "No Dogs," we found the beaches to be quite dog friendly which was a huge plus. BUT, They lock up the beach entrances at sundown making it difficult to enjoy the beach in the evenings. I have never seen a Florida city try to lock the beaches at night like this. All-in-All would highly recommend this rental.

Thank you for your review and for taking such good care of our house. I am sad that you felt unable to walk the beaches at night. I understand that they close the gates of the parks to cars at sundown, but we simply park the car on the legal side and walk right in. It's also a quick, fragrant and moonlit walk to the beach. We walk the beaches nearly every night when we are there with no trouble at all. The 35 mile stretch of shoreline between Vero Beach and Melbourne hosts the number one Loggerhead turtle migration site in the country, and are not to be missed. Turtles lay eggs between March and July, and the babies hatch between August and October. This year (2014) was particularly prolific for turtle nests. We counted 97 in a half mile stretch. Our house is on a barrier island uniquely set between the ocean and the beautiful Indian River. Water is literally everywhere. The beaches are also unique because they are uncrowded. Great location. Good owners

We had a few non owner controlled issues. Lighting storm blew out tv and modem which required time and effort to correct. The fish were not biting very good. Otherwise it was wonderful to be in a backyard where Tarzan and Jane might have lived and although you couldn’t see the ocean you could hear it. The home was roomy and comfortable with everything you need in the way of kitchen and bathroom accessories.

Dave and Linda were the best renters that we could ever ask for. They were helpful and kind to the extreme, staying at home to meet with the cable correction technician, and were helpful with our appliance repair also! We would love to have them stay again if it works out with the schedule.

Soothing

We absolutely loved our month stay at this home. This home is spacious with an open concept and uncluttered. The 3 bedroom, 2 baths afford privacy for a party of 6. The kitchen is well stocked. It is wonderful having a separate laundry room. There is plenty of room for dining whether it be inside or out. All appliances and electronics were in good working order. The outdoor screened in room offers a wonderful view of landscaped and natural foliage. We spent our days at the nearby beaches and fished right under the Wabasso Causeway. This area along with Sebastian and Ft Lauderdale offer lots to do with festivals, museums and of course the beautiful views. Thanks to Roz and Paul for being there to answer any questions we had. We can not wait to return in November.

Hi! I had the place booked under me for November. They just cancelled for a family reunion. If you want it, now would be a great time for a deposit. WE painted the cabinets white with black knobs and handles and they look quite good. The furniture and decor in the living room has been updated also. Hope all is well with you? Best, Roz Diehl ps- I told the person that they need to cancel through VRBO so it isn't held against me. I am not sure of the timing, but I will call.

Tropical Beach Bungalow

My wife and I spent two wonderful months in this beach bungalow and enjoyed every moment of it! Our hosts had everything waiting for us that we could possibly need in order to experience living on the barrier islands. We relocated from Texas and needed a temporary home in order to find our next home. We wanted to buy our next home on the island ourselves, so what a better way to find what we want, then staying at this home. Surrounding neighbors are great and helpful with finding great place to eat and visit. you wont be disappointed staying here. Dick & Cherry D.

Fabulous Time 3 Blocks from the Beach

We had a great experience staying at Roz's beach house, just a short walk (or bike ride) to the beach. My husband was working in the area for 2 weeks, so I came along to both work [via computer] and relax . Having grown up in Florida, it is always nice to come back and walk on a sandy beach. The beach near the house was quiet and residential -- far enough away from the commercial areas to seem private -- so it was perfect to just read a book or take a quick dip in the ocean. The house was well equipped with a nice backyard for eating outside. The vegetation was something to behold (like being in a jungle with huge plants!). The neighborhood was quiet and the town close enough to take advantage of restaurants, when we were not cooking at home. Roz was quick to respond to any questions and took great care of us. Would definitely stay here again, if the chance presents itself!

Great access to the beach

We were close to two nice beaches as well as the Historic Jungle Trail. Those who like to hike will have plenty of opportunity. The house is well supplied with all the basics you need for a stay. The master bed was very comfortable. TV and internet worked well. There is a nice little reading room in the back. With all the plants around the house, it gives you a feeling of seclusion.

Great stay near the beach

This cute house was just what we needed for our stay near Sebastian. It was a few blocks from the beach in a lovely neighborhood. Everything we needed was there and the owners were great to work with. We kept our boat in the water at Sportsmans Lodge only 10 minutes away. So convenient!

Such a deal!

The owners have taken every step to make sure you will have a delightful time in this immaculate home! They even guarantee great weather! Go figure! Well, maybe not the weather, but rest assured you will enjoy this charming and conveniently located home. Great beaches and great restaurants are all within easy access. IF you need to go to the mall stores, they also are available. Always a pleasant breeze also. The locals are some of the nicest people on earth. They are extremely helpful and friendly from Publix to Cobalt Spa to Bobby's Restaurant. (No I did not get a discount for mentioning them.) Book it and enjoy it!

Beautiful, clean beach house

We have rented this adorable vacation home for 3 months - Jan through Mar. for the past 2 yrs. We will continue to rent it as long as we can during those dates. Everything is newly renovated, clean and cozy. Our packing is easy because everything is provided.... and all is in excellent shape. (linens, kitchen wares, etc.) The yard is very secluded, perfect for relaxing or entertaining. The neighborhood is delightful, with a short walk to the beach and/ or to the Jungle Trail, which is along the intracostal. We are perfectly situated between great restaurants in Sebastian as well as Vero Beach.

Amazing, primo location next to Summer Place with giant oak trees visible from the 300 sq foot screened lanai. So private with landscaping and fully private giant backyard .

Amazing, primo location cannot be beat! .5 miles to Wabasso park at the ocean, Beach Bites store and snacks, Disney Vero Resort bars and restaurants. .5 miles to historic jungle trail, bike paths to Sebastian Inlet,- 7 miles and downtown Vero-8 miles.
