Unique 1905 2 story 4 bedrm home with sitting porches on all sides to view garden and huge trees. Private, tranquil, fenced 1/2 acre. Vintage decor with open living spaces for gathering, dining or cooking. Wooden ceiling and unique features throughout. A special home to enjoy both the culture of Nevada City and relax in nature.
We really loved this house and would happily return. It was roomy, comfortable, charming, and very close to town. We had breakfasts and played games in the kitchen and outdoors, did art projects in the living room, and watched a movie in the other living room. The kids had their own rooms - a bonus!
We had a great amount of space for the four of us and loved being able to spend some time in the backyard with the great weather we had. Nice and quiet space!
We loved our stay in Nevada city. The house was very cozy and our family felt right at home. We were celebrating my dadâs 70th birthday and cooked several meals at the home. The house had everything we needed. We also really enjoyed the little touches, vintage and antique decor throughout the home!
Nice Victorian with some modern amenities. Clean and spacious. It had everything youâll need. It is almost a mile to town and there are not always sidewalks, so itâs not quite as walkable to town as we had expected.
I've been reserving this home pretty consistently for quite some time for a work crew. The home is bright, clean and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. And a convenient location!
My experience with Berggren VRBO in Nevada City was a blessing-the Sunflower themed home had lots of trees surrounding it and situated in quiet neighborhood with parking for 4 sedans or two large trucks and two compact cars!
There was heatwave during our stay so the temperature in Nevada City was 10 degrees cooler than in Sacramento area!
Sleeps 6 comfortably even if you do share beds; and with living areas for dining and watching TV there was plenty of room to rest and relax without feeling crowded - WiFi available and AC in one room.
Handicapped access was not an issue for our stay. However, beware of stairs - elderly who have arthritis may have difficulty and it is not equipped for wheelchair access.
The owner apologized that she did not have a notebook which was taken and was not replaced to know what expectations were when we checked out. Still, owner was most responsive when I had concerns and questions when I texted and called!
VrBo had minor maintenance issues (included fire alarm batteries needed replacement and gate had loose part that fell off during our stay which owner was aware of - older washer and dryer - lint catcher screen was worn - were available and functional) I overlooked these inconveniences because of the location away from high traffic areas and adequate parking!
Charming well-worn and loved cozy house surrounded by bountiful green trees and foliage!
May the peace of Jesus Christ be with you and Almighty God bless you all now and forever!
