You`re invited to come enjoy our personal lake home at Norris Lake with views of the lake and mountains from the upper ridge, surrounded by park-like wooded privacy. Completely ADA compliant in both homes, plus no steps to the boat launch dock, community picnic area or the marina`s covered slip that comes with the rental at no extra charge . High-end furnishings and cozy décor welcome you to this breathtaking getaway near the no-wake cove of Flat Hollow Marina. Relax, dine and play outside on 3000 sq ft of decks with seating for 60+ between the comfy outdoor furniture, porch and deck chairs, along with 3 outdoor dining tables for 22 with over-sized umbrellas. Enjoy the rolling drink cart, plan to fire up supper on the 7 burner propane grill, and gather around either of the two fire pits with 18 campfire chairs provided at each one to enjoy the stars and quiet of the woods. One firepit is next to the Main House`s 6-person hot tub with blue tooth speakers, and the other is next to the Game House. Inside the main house you`ll find everything to make your stay feel like home: a fully equipped chef`s kitchen includes an electric oven-range with built-in air fryer, farmhouse sink with prep tray, drain rack and bamboo cutting board. Dining indoors, seated dining space for 19 includes: 2 counter bars with 5 pull up stools, and 2 dining tables - one with expandable leaf inserts - plus 14 chairs. The living room is a favorite gathering space, offering a vent-free gas log fireplace (seasonally available fall - spring), couch and overstuffed armchairs around a 55” large screen Smart TV (one of 4 with 4k UHD Roku televisions in the main house). Two full sized refrigerators and a pantry make for easy meal storage and planning, along with a commercial grade ice maker, full sized laundry room and 2 full bathrooms. Captain Brown`s Lake Escape has everything on one level - beginning with the main floor great room, kitchen and dining area - proudly and intentionally designed as a modern farmhouse with gently sloped, ADA compliant ramps and the handicapped accessible master bedroom`s king bed, adjoining bath with zero-threshold shower, rain shower head and handheld sprayer, grab bars, easy roll under sink top, shower chair and emergency access pass-thru closet. Easy grade ramps allow access to all three exterior doors - rear, porch and side - as well as the hot tub, fire pit areas and over 3500 sq ft of outdoor deck space surrounding the 1700+ sq ft main house. There`s nothing like the Game House, for sure ... with easy driveway or steps access, the 750 sq ft game house offers an 8` slate pool table, foosball table, 5000 game arcade console, two 55” 4K UHD Roku TVs, 13` butcher block bar, game table, microwave, wine cooler, and beverage refrigerator, electric fireplace and heater. Outside, there`s a covered porch with more games, a second fire pit with seating for 18 and dining table and chairs for 6, the RV hook-up amenities. All bedrooms have Smart TV’s along with tasteful themed decor, comfy Serta mattresses, hotel-grade linens and ceiling fans. Extra down comforters for winter in each closet, along with a couple space heaters, and extra fans in the warmer months. For the off-road ATV lovers, we are about a 30 minute ride to the nearest trailhead at Tackett Creek, and about an hour from Royal Blue. Maybe you’re just a nature lover looking to get away from it all? You and your group won’t even need to leave the grounds to spread out and soak in all the natural beauty and fun, though. There’s trails and pathways intersecting this park-like acreage, and a breathtaking cleared ridge top right on the property with lake views and panoramic mountain vistas as far as the eye can see. Enjoy two thousand acres of adjoining TVA land and protected woodlands that adjoin this property’s borders for unlimited hiking and exploring. There`s also hundreds of miles of trails all within a drive less than an hour away, including 35k acres at the Chuck Swan Wildlife Preserve with fire tower and shooting range; Sundquist Preserve with its elk-viewing tower; and Cumberland Gap’s quaint small town and National Park). Discover the remains of an old plane hangar, go blackberry picking in-season, feel the years slip away imagining what lived in the old, weathered sheds (where the cornhole set is stored), ring the dinner bell to pull people off the acreage, snap a group photo of the ancient road grader with mature trees grown up into it right where it sits. Round house (under construction) and deck are off-limits, for your safety - but the views up there are spectacular! Outdoor Recreation plans include free kayaks, a play set, ping pong out in the boat storage carports, badminton, even a mini disc golf course with a couple baskets is under consideration - ask what`s planned by the time your group arrives. With great parking for 12 or more vehicles and not another neighbor in sight, plus overflow parking 1/4 mile away on the ridge top, or leave some cars at the management office in La Follette. The owners also make available (for a separate nightly fee and reservation agreement) an RV hook-up with both 30 and 50 amp electric, water, and a septic dump station. Trailer parking for watercraft or ATV’s is available free of charge at Overlook Bay’s lot or even up by the unfinished round house right on the property (when not under construction), as well as at the marina’s trailer lot. Perfect for your group or family year-round getaway, we rent Saturday (3 pm) to Saturday (10 am) beginning with the first full week to the last full week all Summer, June - August; with 3-night minimums or more for major holidays, and 2 Night minimums in the off season.
