Overall, I’d give this VRBO a 4.5 out of 5 stars. We had a great weekend with our daughter. The only thing we’d say was the mattresses could be more comfortable, as well as the seating on the back deck. We would definitely stay again. Very cozy cabin!

The views at this house are amazing and the name Tranquility is exactly what we experienced. We traveled the week of Thanksgiving to get away from a busy, hectic life of constant work with the purpose of relaxing and that is all we did, relax!! And the amenities were perfect for our needs. The kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms were clean and stocked, the laundry room was easily accessible and the house overall was very clean. The host was responsive, friendly and patient with us. Anything we asked we got an answer within a few minutes. . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if the opportunity presents will come back and stay at Tranquility. Thank you for a great stay!!!

Cabin was clean and the view was beautiful. Dog friendly. The only downside is the living room is very small as well as the tv which wasn’t good for watching a game etc with the family. Upstairs bedroom is spacious again with a beautiful view and nice size tv but beds were uncomfortable in both bedrooms.

Beautiful little hideaway

My family and I stayed over Thanksgiving weekend and could not have been happier with the entire experience. Beautiful view while sitting in front of the fireplace! We will come back another time.

beautiful view in cozy cabin

Loved the view! Grass could've been mowed but there is not much grass anyway. Water main broke first day but was repaired the next morning.

Very disappointed in this review This is on a mountain and the view and Serenity is the main attraction Cannot blame property for a blown pipe which was fixed by next day. Also didn’t mention the credit given This is not a 3 star property and your concerns were dealt with immediately The pipe issue was the development community well issue not the cabin

Wow, what a view

On top of the world! Such an amazing view. Comfortable furnishing and beds. Kitchen could use a few more utensils (like a grater, vegetable peeler, etc) and a few larger pots and pans…but everything else more than made up for it. I didn’t really feel like cooking anyway! And dog friendly to boot! Highly recommend.

Great property!

Great property. Would stay again. We had Tmobile and had cell service. Only gripe (relatively insignificant) was the listing said download some extra app which would include turn by turn instructions because cell service may not work. App did not include directions. Fortunately we did not need because we had cell service but when I emailed the property manager asking for directions I never received a response. Manager problem, not property or owners. Great place nevertheless with beautiful view.

Birthday Celebration

Love the area. Hate the queen size beds. Didn’t know about the size of the beds or stairs to the master. Could not use the chairlift which would have been nice for two people in their 70s. It was locked and no info about it. Don’t like that I couldn’t watch my Braves on tv but loved the view. The refrigerator needs a new filter. It was quiet and peaceful but wasn’t as comfortable as I would have liked.

thanks for the response. A simple phone call or text would have resolved most of your issues. The chair lift is locked for safety especially when children are present. A new filter would have been installed if we knew of the issue. Not sure what is meant by it not being as comfortable a you would have liked. We try to make it is comfortable as possible for all renters of all ages. It is a personal choice that you dislike queen size beds. Bed details are listed in the description thanks for choosing to stay at tranquility and please come again and receive a 10 % discount.

Amazing views

This place has amazing views and is very private. There are glass windows and doors everywhere with plenty of deck space. If you like to be in the great outdoors, then this is a great choice. We spent one day in Lake Lure/Chimney Rock and one day in Asheville. A kettle for hot water would have been nice. The entrance to the driveway is a little weird (not the owners fault, just be aware). The house is set back from the road so it isn't obvious where to go. The upstairs bath towels were still wet and therefore smelled a little (probably just needed to be in the dryer longer). The items noted above are just FYI and didn't negatively impact our trip at all. We gave it five stars and would definitely stay there again.

Great Escape For Book Readers

Poor and very slow wifi connection (hot spot) making planning difficult for going into town, getting to activities and directions. Had better connection with cell service. The location was beautiful and the view was incredible, but descriptions did not say how remote and not actually in Saluda, that it was 20 min outside Saluda, this added a lot of travel time we did not factor in as we had planned to travel from Saluda proper. The cabin needs TLC, attention and updating as the provided towels were sour smelling, found more towels in a dresser that were stained and looked old. The upstairs bed pillow cases and bed cover looked old dirty and worn, also had strange smell, like cologne. Bed cover was super thin and not warm. Pillows were flat and had to use two to serve as one. The downstairs bed cover had several visible stains, was thin and looked old. The TVs were old and not smart TVs, (not that there was a fast enough connection to allow for streaming). The toilet upstairs had odd body odor smell like it had been wiped with dirty rag and upstairs shower stall had large blue stain. Chairs on porch were uncomfortable for really taking advantage of the view. The outdoor sofa was a frame with no cushions. If you are looking to only stay at the cabin and disconnect from the world, great place for you. The remoteness was incredible as the view, but would have preferred to stay closer to town and have use of the Internet.

Instead, we offer a peaceful and remote getaway where guests can disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We apologize if this was not communicated effectively before your stay. Regarding the location, we do our best to provide accurate information about the distance from nearby towns. Our listing's address is in Saluda, NC and is not being represented as being in downtown Saluda. In terms of cleanliness and amenities, we take pride in maintaining our property to the highest standards. We were not advised of any issues on the property except for the trash bags that was needed, which was brought to you the next morning by the cleaners themselves. We also want to clarify that our cabin's amenities, including the TVs and outdoor furniture, are regularly maintained and inspected. While we understand that preferences may vary, we strive to provide a comfortable and cozy environment for all our guests.

Cute place!

The location is a little tricky to get to but it's very nice, secluded, and beautiful scenery. The home is comfortable and clean. The roads are very curvy and windy but overall, it's a great place!
