Welcome to Tree House Cottage. This 1940's vintage cottage provides a fusion of historic Appalachian charm with classic lake cottage style. Perched high in the trees on a wooded acre in the beautiful Lake Summit area.
The cottage features a large, open living room, kitchen with a rustic 100 year old poplar tree bar, flanked by logs that reach from floor to ceiling, and a craftsman style stone fireplace.
Two cozy bedrooms each have king size beds and charming decor. The master bedroom has a large private bath with clawfoot tub, pedestal sink and a stack washer-dryer unit. The common bathroom has a custom vanity, copper vessel sink and full-size tub/shower combo.  Enjoy dining on the covered screen porch, or step out and enjoy the impressive outdoor deck. Build a fire in the outdoor fire pit, or enjoy a night under the stars in the private four person hot tub.
Attention to every detail has been taken at the Treehouse Cottage. It is sure to be one of your favorite places to get away.
We love the area and enjoyed exploring Flat Rock & Campfire Grill was an amazing spot to eat dinner. Didn't get to spend much time in the cabin but we really liked all the rustic decor, tin roof and hot tub!
My mom and SIL and I stayed here for two. Ifhts for a girlsâ getaway. It was exactly what we neededâclean, cozy, adorable, and beer some great hikes. Thanks Kirk!
My best friend and I stayed here for a weekend and had an absolutely wonderful time! The property is beautiful and exactly as described. Kirk is responsive and helpful! While we were there, the fire alarm battery needed to be replaced and Kirk responded right away! I would definitely stay here again!
We had a great weekend at the Treehouse. The kitchen was well appointed and we made a delicious dinner. We enjoyed the hot tub and found all the accommodations comfy and cozy. The location is an easy ride to Hendersonville and local breweries. We would absolutely stay at this cute cabin again!
Cozy but roomy with a mountain cottage feel. The property is close to other houses, but well positioned to maintain privacy. We could tell the owner/manager put a lot of thought into the little things you would need. The property is shaded enough that we could enjoy meals on the screened porch even in early summer. The bed was comfy and bathrooms were spacious. Youâre just a few mins from Flat Rock and a few more from Hendersonville. There were lots of places to go hike and explore. Itâs a wonderful spot and great place to stay. The owner/manager, Kirk, was communicative and available to message or call, but we did not have any need to reach out. We will likely be back!
This place met all our needs for a short respite on our way from one part of North Carolina to another. The hot tub was an especially nice feature and the cabin type house is thoughtfully decorated in keeping with the beautiful North Carolina Smokey Mountains
We enjoyed our stay; everything was clean and just as described and pictured. Fixtures and furnishings were thoughtful and tasteful... lovely decor. Kitchen was well-equipped for cooking with a variety of spaces, and all of the dishes and appliances you might need. Water tasted great out of the tap. 15 minutes from Hendersonville- very convenient. The how-to guide and 'what to do' guides were both very professionally done and well organized. It was especially warm when we visited, but the 4 window AC units did a great job. There is a damp smell in the house though. It didn't bother us, but it may bug you if you're super sensitive or allergic. There are no closets and only a small armoire, so keep that in mind for longer stays... There are hooks on the back of one of the bathroom doors, though, that you could hang quite a bit of stuff on.
This dog-friendly house was the perfect place to get away from the noise and relax! We really enjoyed the screened in porch and hot tub. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with the essentials, and the living area is very cozy.
This cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway for much needed relaxation. The kitchen had everything needed to make meals and I especially loved the metal roof during a heavy rainstorm. We will definitely be booking this cabin again!
We took our kids to a weekend camp and needed a place to stay while we were in NC! This was a cute, quiet little place that allowed the adults to enjoy some downtime!
The property was exactly as shown- yet somehow even more charming! We've been doing weekend trips together for several years, and this might be the best location (10- 15 minutes from wineries, antique shops, and groceries). The house is clean, cozy, and the chech in/out was simple. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Very cute! Looks just how itâs described. Fully equipped with everything you need. We loved the hot tub and fire pit. Would definitely stay again.
This is just a delightful and rustic mountain cabin. Loved the way it has been decorated with antiques, wood and special touches. The bath tub sitting on wooden stumps instead of claw feet was really neat. Was a great place to stay while we explored the Saluda/Flat Rock/Hendersonville areas
Stayed at the Tree House for a weekend and I must say it was just what we needed. It is decorated in a way you feel like you are staying at a friends place- very homey and comfortable. Bed was extremely comfy and just loved the mix of new and original.
Hope to stay again!!
Loved staying here. Needed to wind down after the holidays. It was quiet, comfortable and clean. Had everything we needed to cook a few times. We also enjoyed a couple of restaurants in Flat Rock and a short hike at DuPont State Forest. Great place for couples needing a getaway.
