This is such a great spot to get away or even just stay a night as you’re passing through. Second stay in the marina- Clean, roomy, family-friendly or a respite for one, it’s the easiest VRBO you’ll ever stay in from check in to check out. There’s not much more fun than feeding the ducks and watching their antics- always great for a smile and a laugh. Teresa and team are phenomenal and the positive atmosphere can’t be beat. I was working but brought my husband this time so he could fish. He thoroughly enjoyed it. Only drawback whatsoever, and 100% out of their hands, is the noise from the nearby highway. But just bring earplugs and/or headphones and it’s totally worth it.

It is a lovely and clean cabin. The staff was polite and helpful. However, there was no communication from the host prior to check-in, and no instructions as to what to do upon arrival. Plenty of extra pillows, sheets, and bed options were already in the cabin; and there were plenty of k cups for the Keurig. The kitchen had pots & pans, as well as a couple serving spoons. Only one bowl, no plates, and zero cutlery. In the bathroom there were only two small towels and a half empty bottle of liquid hand soap. Based on previous Vrbo and State Park stays we may have been spoiled? Overall it was lovely. Just plan to have your own disposable supplies for the kitchen, and definitely don't forget any toiletries!

Im sorry about the instructions I did attempt to send out but it kept coming back to me. We do normally keep extras in the cabin but we were short handed the day you came in and the normal cleaner was out ill. We will strive to correct these issues and hope you come back soon!

The cabin was very clean and accurate to listing. The host was very responsive to messages, the ducks are everywhere , The Quack Shack staff is friendly and courteous. The food options are quite nice and funny menu name for food. Just made more drink options ie. Orange juice, tea etc ... I would have love regular sugar in the cabin, but like stated the staffing at the Quack Shack is more than accommodating. This is a must return on our list. We would recommend this to anyone. Oh not to forget there are plenty of fishing spot even when the sun is out.

This was an amazing cabin to rent! We were just steps away from the water and enjoyed fishing and relaxing. It was very spacious and we really enjoyed our weekend and we will definitely be back again.

Summer Haven

Nice location near the marina, the ducks were a treat. The place was very quiet and the hostess was amazing in helping us with our stay.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT

Stayed for 3 wonderful nights. Cabin was more than accommodating. Fire pit for family to roast marshmallows on. Fishing right outside front of cabin. Delicious food at the QUACK SHACK!!!! Loved it will be back.

Great place to stay to fish

I recommend this place. If you have questions someone is there to answer. I also recommend eating at the quack shack breakfast and lunch was great! The cabins were pretty cool it wasn’t hot in them.

Fishing on Lake Tawakoni

Duck Cove Marina was a great place to stay and enjoy Lake Tawakoni. The cabin we stayed in was absolutely perfect! Clean, all the amenities, and the perfect size for our stay. Everyone at the marina including other guests were all very nice and accommodating. And all the actual ducks everywhere were a very fun surprise and joy to watch. Thank you for a great weekend. We will be back.

Worst ever

Cabin was in the middle of an RV park which was completely overrun with people NOT staying there. The cabin itself is literally a storage shed. No parking anywhere near cabin - people not staying there were parked in all spaces. Bikers on lawn of cabin & all around cabin space. Sheriff deputy with lights on @ cabin breaking up fistfights, altercations, etc. When property mgr was contacted, they refused any refund options. There was no opportunity discuss the fact that there was no notification or information provided about a catfish noodling festival/competition which was near, during booking. A band, fireworks, hundreds of people partying in the front of the cabin was NOT what I was wanting during our relaxing family vacation.

There was an issue initially during check-in where I was charged again for 1/2 price of the stay even though I already paid in full through vrbo. Nice cabin one suggestion would be to add a fan in the bedroom to circulate air/ was pretty warm back in the bedroom

Well maintained property. We had a very enjoyable time. “Utensils” needs t be more specifically defined in the property description as there were no eating utensils (plates, knives, forks) or microwave safe bowls; only coffee cups, BBQ tools and pots for hot plate. Fortunately we brought paper plates & plastic ware. We hope to return in the spring.
