Sweet well-appointed hideaway cottage. Clean, cozy, secluded, quiet, nicely landscaped. Close to Redwood parks and lots of interesting beachfront. Enjoyed food at Seaquest Brewery and Seafront Bakery.
We enjoyed are short overnight stay here. The hosts were very nice, the home was clean and nicely decorated. They have a front gate that makes it a very private little place. The yard has lots of trees and plants that seclude it from neighbors well. I would recommend this place and would love to stay here again.
We totally enjoyed our vacation to the redwood area of California. The weather was perfect for the hiking and sightseeing that we did and the VRBO was located right in the middle of the action. There was just my wife and myself which was a good thing. The unit was comfy and clean, but it is small. Everything was good, but the wifi seemed to be slow at times, but that was not important.
This property is centrally located and because of the amazing established palms and other vegetation it was very private, peaceful and felt tropical. We enjoyed meals outside and playing dice. We visited Smith River and also enjoyed the Trees of Mysterythe
My husband accompanied me to Crescent City for a work trip. The cottage was vey clean and had all the nice touches to make us comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
They have such great amenities and all the little things that make a stay special (fans, soaps, appliances, umbrellas, etc). Thanks for a nice getaway.
The street is a dead end at night surrounded by forest/trees which gives a little unsure vibe but the place locks up like fort knox with the gate
Beautiful cottage with all the comforts of home! Enjoyed the palm gardens outside. Place was clean, comfortable and private. The attached garage and washing machine were a bonus! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable while we explored the Redwoods. It was a great retreat to come home to after hiking all day.
This was just what I needed. A quiet little spot to get away. It was my first solo trip and this place was the perfect choice. I felt safe and at home the whole time. It was close to everything I wanted to see. I would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our cozy stay in Crescent City at this cute cottage. It was hidden away. I enjoyed the location actually, it was a quiet neighborhood close to any necessities. My children stayed on the pull-out couch while I stayed in the bedroom. The pull put couch matress must not have been used in some time because it was a bit dirty and I had to vaccuum but I happily did that and put a sheet on. The property was fully updated and decorated inpeccably. I also enjoyed the attention to detail in regard to the extra amenities the hosts provided. I dont typically reach out to hosts for anything but anytime speaking to them they reaponded promptly. There was an issue of the cleaners coming prior to checkput but the hosts assured they would speaking to them. I highly reccomend staying here for your Redwoods stay.obneighborhood
Amazing place to stay near Lassen Volcanic National Park
This is a very nice place near Shingletown CA. First, the location is perfect if you are going to Lassen Volcanic National Park and it is very quiet even though it is a block or so of the Highway. The Cabin is very clean and well set up. You will not be without anything you need when staying here. From the kitchen to bathroom and laundry Ashley has thought of everything. We stay in VRBOs a couple times a year while traveling to National Parks and this one ranks in the top 5 for us. I would definitely suggest staying here if you are in the area if you are just a couple like us or a small family.
We loved the landscaping, decor and proximity of the house to the Redwoods. We stayed 2 nights and one day homeless people came out from the woods across the street and another day some were walking down the street. This and other run down homes on the street made us feel uneasy. It was comforting that there is a wooden gate at the driveway. The house smells quite moldy. Entrance to the bathroom is through the bedroom.
This was a wonderful home to stay at and the location was great. Compared to the other options in area, this was a much nicer place to stay when visiting the Redwoods parks. The drive over to Jedediah was very short and the other parks were within an hour. Crescent City had much better food options than the other nearby cities. The specific location in town of the house is not amazing, but we had a car so it was not an issue at all. The grounds are also beautiful.
The home had everything you could want and the host was very respectful and easy to work with. At one point we needed something and the host dropped it off without entering the property. Little touches like this are marks of a great host. Having access to laundry was wonderful especially after a few muddy hikes. There's pretty much nothing else I would have wanted for this stay. If we're ever in the area again, I would gladly stay here.
This property has the best outdoor space ever, with an awesome collection of palm trees, as well as a variety of other trees and plants, and seating to enjoy it all from its lovely fenced-in area. The inside is cute and cozy as well, with personal touches and all the info and amenities you may need. Ashley's thought of everything. And while the space may be a bit on the small side for more than two people (sofa bed was ok for 12 yr old, but not so much for 16 yr old - he ended up sleeping outside in the hammock we brought the second night), we knew it would be and booked anyway...mainly because of the outdoor ambiance...and we still loved our stay and would recommend!
Great little spot to escape the heat. Kept very clean. Only complaint was all the outdoor furniture was covered in spiders/spiderwebs. (Which can be hard to prevent). Other than that everything was perfection. We will be coming back again.
