Come and relax by the fire on the edge of the Redwood National Forest just minutes from the beach! You'll fall in love with our luxuriously appointed contemporary retreat. This not-so-tiny custom prefab is surrounded by giant Redwoods, ivy and ferns in a historic scenic location. Loaded with natural light, leather, hardwoods, granite and art, this coastal home tucked into the forest boasts two bedrooms and a sleeping loft as well as a hot tub and fireplace for those cooler romantic nights.
This was probably the cleanest and best equipped VRBO we have ever stayed in. Our daughter loved sleeping up in the loft and the house felt secluded even though it was close to everything. Added bonuses were the washer and dryer and the hot tub.
Great property for exploring the redwoods -- convenient to the parks and the perfect size and layout for our family of four. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit, had everything we needed in the well-stocked kitchen, and slept well in the comfortable beds. Overall a great stay!
Perfect little place to place to stay on the edge of the Redwoods and close to Crescent City. Super clean and had everything you would need. Back patio amenities were great after exploring the Redwoods all day. Would definitely recommend!
Wonderful place. Fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The jacuzzi was a perfect end to the busy days. My grandchildren loved the loft. Has a washer and dryer so I didn't have to bring home my dirty clothes. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The hide a bed was not super comfy but it did the job. Sunsets just around the corner. We would definitely book again.
House was exactly as described and had everything we needed during our week long stay. The bedroom windows did not have any blinds or curtains, but it didn't bother us. Over all we were satisfied in our decision to stay at the " In the heart of the Redwood Forest"!
This is an adorable little pre manufactured mini home thatâs been placed in the most serene circumstances just north of the city. Itâs a little compact but for two people it had the space that we needed. We were drawn to it initially, by the fact that it had a king bed in an area where that is a very hard thing to find in a vacation home. And the bed did not disappoint. We will be very happy to come back again.
Convenient and quiet setting. Comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Overall clean and well appointed. Coffee, tea and electric kettle all available. Only had body wash, no shampoo. Some of the comforters in the closet had a smell like it wasnât recently laundered. Everything else was clean though.
Great location. Central to the parks and minutes away to Cresent City for shopping, dinning etc. It felt like you were staying in the woods. Fireplace was nice touch in the evenings. Hot tub and grill. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Nice big bath tub. Overall very comfortable and nicely decoarted.
I stayed with my wife and two young boys, ages 5 and 8, for a quick weekend visit. The location is fabulous, very quiet and lovely. Home was clean and well stocked. Really everything was absolutely perfect for us, except for the hot tub taking 48 hours to heat up for use. As I chose to stay in this particular location primarily for the hot tub, it was very disappointing to not be able to use it. However, as stated, everything else was fabulous and I look forward to staying again.
Very cute and cozy home. Enjoyed the fire pit outside. Hot tub wasnât working because of a recent storm but that was no big deal. We spent most of our time exploring. Will definitely stay again.
Good experience overall. Biggest concern was that there are a lot of small square windows in the home facing the street side, some of which have no window coverings. I used pillows stuffed into the windows that were at the level of the bed to create privacy in the master bedroom but had no way to cover those windows in the living space. Both propane tanks were empty, but since it was raining and very cold not a huge loss. Used the hot tub one night and that was nice. Fireplace was nice but there was some problems with smoke getting in the house, despite visual confirmation the flue was open. Keeping doors to fireplace shut helped. I loved the location- close to town but felt like I was in a forest. Kitchen was fully stocked and had extras like ziplocks and coffee. Very clean. Would suggest a more substantial deck covering than the small tarp since it rains so much. The deck and outdoor space is lovely but not fully usable in the rain. Property manager was responsive and helpful
We chose to stay at this property because of the proximity to Jedidiah State Park and prior reviews. When we arrived we found the cabin/house to be clean and cozy. After a long day of exploring the Redwoods we settled down to a fire and some TV. We really enjoyed our time and found our short trip to be relaxing.
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon trip and we had the absolute best vacation ever. Itâs conveniently located in the middle of everything, tucked away nicely so you have privacy, the property itself was beautiful, and we had everything we needed. 10/10 already planning the next trip!
