Big Sunny Family House

Big family house, centrally located in Historic old town. Walking distance to several cafes, restaurants, shops. 5 min to Skyline Caverns and 5 min to Shenandoah National Park. 7 min to canoe, kayak rentals. Perfect for large families who want to be close to nature but want to go to dinner in town or eat at home. We have a dining room table that will fit the entire family and a living room comfortable for the whole family. Anyone who has trouble with stairs will appreciate the bedroom downstairs with a full bathroom. There is a ramp out back and one stair will get you in the house.

DC-VA Family Trip

Loved the house, plenty of room for the family. Loved having family dinners at the giant dining room table. Had out of state family visiting VA who wanted to see DC and the Shenandoah Valley so the location worked out great. I would definitely rent the house again.

Lovely home

We enjoyed our stay at the big sunny family house. There was plenty of room for all of us! The parking in the back of the house was especially nice so we didn’t have to back out onto the busy road in the front driveway.

We enjoyed our stay!

Nice property! Charming, well-appointed house. We had 6 adults and there was plenty of room. Great location with an easy walk to Main Street. We enjoyed the fire pit.

Great thanksgiving getaway

This house is a larger house that would be absolutely perfect for a thanksgiving dinner. There is a huge dining room table that could seat probably 16 comfortably. We really appreciated the comfortable bedrooms and beds with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. As a small family we loved being able to spread out and chill after hiking at Shenandoah, which is minutes away.

Wonderful, large and beautiful house

The house was exactly what we needed. We go away every year and this house was big enought for all of us. Lived the comfortable beds and living room. Will hopefully be back.

We loved this house and it was perfect location and rooms for what we needed! The dining room table and two leather sofas were perfect for our family. We would highly recommend if you want to stay in Front Royal!

Beautiful!

The house was a beautiful, old farmhouse house. There were notes all around, giving clear guidance on where things were located. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. My favorite part was the large dining room table that allowed everyone to sit down and eat together. I would definitely stay there again.

Best stay yet!

This was the best property we have stayed among at least 5 others in the recent past. The house was clean, well equipped, and everything worked as it should. Plenty of room for our 6 people family, close to downtown Front Royal, and close to Christendom College (we dropped off our daughter to college there over the weekend). Will definite choose this place again.

Sunny House delight!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sunny House. The attention to detail was superb! We stay in Front Royal a few times a year and so far this was our favorite large family stay.

Beautiful Home in Charming Neighborhood

Front Royal is a great place to stay. This home is beautiful with everything we could possibly need! Our hosts were easy to reach and very helpful. The bedrooms are big and comfortable and the dining room and living room are great for big families. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here again!

Perfect stay for a large family

Our stay at Joy's and Patrick's place was fantastic. The house is very clean, spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with everything you need for your stay even with a large family as ours (4 adults, 5 children). Joy and Patrick are wonderful hosts and very helpful and did everything to make us feel welcome. We definitely recommend the place if you are planning a trip to Front Royal, VA.

Beautifully kept house with all the conveniences

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Everyone commented on how beautiful the house was. The rooms were spacious and the common areas made great gathering spaces for our visit. The house was spectacularly clean and the owners thought of every convenience. I felt as much at home there as in my own home!

Great house in a great location

This was a girls’ trip for a homesteaders conference. We enjoyed the spacious living spaces; the pictures just don’t give them justice. We had meals around the large dining table, then moved into the large living room for further conversation and fellowship. The bedrooms were great also. The neighborhood hosts several restaurants and coffee shops. Just a great experience!

Wonderful property and hosts

Patrick and Joy are great hosts. They were kind, responsive and informative. They had great suggestions for food and hiking. The property is walking distance to downtown and very close to many great hiking options. The downstairs of the home is incredibly spacious and perfect for our 6 person group. We would highly recommend the property and hosts.

Family stay

A wonderful house with outstanding hosts! I cannot say enough good things about it. Convenient location, flexible accommodation, well equipped kitchen and lots of extra touches. We were 3 adults, a 10 year old, and an 8 year old. We enjoyed watching the Olympics, swimming in the Front Royal pool, walking by the river, and visiting the Handley Library in Winchester. We are relocating to this area from East Texas and found this visit very helpful.

Great home with all the little touches

Clean house with lots of space! Well stocked with all the necessities and little added extras that made for a wonderful stay for girls weekend! There were 4 of us and we had more house than we needed but loved it because we all had our own bedroom. Owners are very responsive. We had no issues and will definitely be back! Walking distance to town with shopping, restaurants, and wineries.short drive to hiking trails and more wineries!

Family stay for Christendom Wedding

This house was perfect for our family to work from for our son's wedding. We relaxed on the back deck around the fire pit at night, ate around the huge dinning room table, threw 100 napkins in the washer downstairs, and hosted the groomsmen for a gathering after the rehearsal dinner. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed. The hosts even checked the kitchen ahead of time to let me know what we would need to bring to make 140 lemon bars. Everything was great!!!
