Beautiful park like fenced yard that's perfect to enjoy under shade trees after a long day of fishing or hunting. Great for a couples retreat or bring the entire family for special gatherings. One master bedroom upstairs and one on main floor. Fully equiped kitchen, Library, mudd and laundry room. Special extended stay rates as well as monthly and weekly. Smoke free property.
I will really like this house is big enough for any plan that you have the area is peaceful.. I really recommend this beautiful Mansion thank you the host Yvonne sheâs amazing she helps us to have a memorable trip âŠ
Iâve loved this house since I was a little kid and now, so many years later I got married in it. The house was absolutely amazing and modern yet old timey. The communication with the home owners is amazing, security system is top notch, and very high tech. I absolutely loved the property manager. She was so kind and friendly and always awnsered her phone. 11/10
Stayed at the house for a week for prepping for a nonprofit fundraiser and it was very convenient downtown and had good parking and we were able to use it as a headquarters for a few small meetings as well and it worked out wonderful
This house is amazing. There is so much room for everyone. The bedrooms are big, all of them. The teenagers had a place to hang out and the adults did too. The property is beautiful. Even though it was very hot outside, we still hung out outside because the property too beautiful not to.
This is the third year in a row we've stayed here, so we obviously like it very much. We come up with several friends (there were 7 of us staying at the house this time). It's comfortable and great for cooking together. Sue, the property manager, is very responsive and accommodating, and has become a friend. The only caution I would offer is if you're coming with more than three couples, you will have to do some bathroom sharing as there are 5 bedrooms but only 3 bathrooms.
This lovely historic mansion is located near the Sacramento Wildlife Refuges where driving and hiking tours allow a close-up view of the winter bird migrations; thousands of ducks and geese pass through this area. The McCambell House provides an elegant and comfortable setting for fellow birding enthusiasts to cook meals together and talk by the fire.
The mansion was elegant, with chandeliers and vintage furniture. It had a fully stocked kitchen so we could easily prepare our meals. The grounds are fabulous, tall trees offered shade so we thoroughly enjoyed the gardens. It felt like we weren't in the city, but back in time.
Finding lodging for large groups can be rough, especially when you are including a pet. This home easily accommodated 5 adults and 5 kids without feeling crowded. Those who wanted to socialize could do that easily and teenagers who needed some space from time to time got that as well. The grounds and the neighborhood were beautiful. If we ever have need for lodging for a large group again, we will definitely check to see if this home is available first. We even have other family members who will be looking at this location for future visits. Thank you to the owner and property manager for making our stay so amazing.
The Mansion was perfect for our familyâs trip to California for our daughterâs wedding. The home is charming yet spacious. We had plenty of room for our family which included 9 adults and a one year old. This home includes all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including games and puzzles if youâre looking for family friendly entertainment. There is a large yard with plenty of patio and lawn space to enjoy outdoor activities. The landscaping is beautiful and well maintained. Itâs close to downtown Yuba CityâŠeasily walkable. Check in was super easy and the host is very attentive and accommodating. She was readily available to answer any questions I had. When we return to visit family in Yuba City, I would book the Mansion again without hesitation. A wonderful experience from start to finish!
We were a group of ten. There are five bedrooms and the sleeping accommodations worked out well. But we could have used one more bathroom. There are three bathrooms in the house, one downstairs and two upstairs, one of which is en suite and has no door separating it from the bedroom. So six people ended up sharing one bathroom. A minor inconvenience but not a big deal.
The house is spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked.
We had a little trouble figuring out how to operate the oven but Susan the manager came over promptly and helped us out. She also told us how to operate the electric fireplace as it wasnât obvious.
Overall it worked out well for us and we plan to go back next year!
We had a wonderful stay at Sue's historic home while attending my daughterâs graduation from Chico State University. The house had plenty of room to comfortably accommodate our large group. It was full of charm and character, and the well-stocked kitchen made meal prep a breeze. Sue was an excellent hostâcommunication was prompt, friendly, and thorough. Check-in and check-out were seamless and efficient, making the entire experience hassle-free. I highly recommend this property and would gladly stay here again. Thank you, Sue!
Visiting family in Yuba City, stayed at this lovely and historic Mansion with interesting history. We organized having our Thanksgiving feast here with the local family and thoroughly enjoyed it. More space than we needed, and a nice spacious yard for the dog to run around. Just excellent!
What an amazing home! My friends and I have been going on weekends away for years and have rented many homes. This was the best one yet. Beautiful space. well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and great communication. Everything we thought we might need or want, and more, was provided by our host. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
My husband Mike grew up in Yuba City with his two brothers. He attended High School and played Basketball at Yuba College. We have a special place in our lives for this community and continue to spend a lot of time here. With exceptional fishing in the Feather River and hunting in the area, we enjoy our time on the river and with the many friends in Yuba City and the surrounding area's. We want to continue to to be a part of this Community by opening our home to those who want to connect with their past and enjoy the year around activities.
Historic neighborhood, three blocks from Fair Grounds, 6 blocks from Gauche Aquatic water Park, one mile from boat dock onto Feather River, Guides for hire for fishing and hunting.
