à propos de cet hébergement
Your piece of Paradise at Palm Manor Condo
This 2nd floor Palm Manor condo is perfectly situated for kicking back or active living. Youâll find it clean, comfy, and convenient. Whether you choose to relax on the lanai, poolside or in a beach chair, youâll have it all. If you enjoy playing bocce, tennis, shuffleboard or ping pong, itâs available. Golfing at many local courses in the area. There are numerous public marinas and boat ramps for all your water activities -- fishing, jet skiing or wave running, paddle boarding or kayaking on Lemon Bay, exploring natureâs wonders at Stump Pass on the south end of Manasota Key, spotting eagles and ospreys at Cedar Point Environmental Park. Most of these pastimes are a walk or short drive away.
Shopping is directly across the road at Merchantâs Crossing Center and the Farmerâs Market every Thursday on Dearborn Street is always popular. This part of Southwest Florida (straddling both Sarasota and Charlotte counties) has an endless variety of sites to visit from the mineral springs in nearby Northport to Minor League and Spring Training baseball in Port Charlotte (12 miles away) and North Port (10 miles away).
Beach Road is less than a 10 minute drive from your door. There you can find four public beaches -- Englewood Beach, Blind Pass Beach, Stump Pass State Park and Manasota Key Beach
Entertainment can be found throughout the area. Many restaurants have live music, including Farlow's on the Water (about a mile south on Rt. 776). Night life abounds on Beach Road at Sand Bar, Lock 'n Key, and the White Elephant. Englewood Beach also has a drum circle before dusk, just off the parking lot. You can find morning breakfast at Magnolia Cafe on the Bay.. If you want to combine dinner on the water, music, and sunset watching, consider eating at Snook's at Royal Palm Marina at the end of Dearborn Avenue or Lighthouse Grill inside Stump Pass Marina at the end of Maryland Avenue, which is just down Placida Road and our condo. Leverocks Restaurant is farther south on (about 10 minutes) Placida Road and sits adjacent to a marina. Walk to the back dock of Leverocks and you can catch a water taxi ($6/round trip per person) to Palm Island for lunch or a drink at Rum Bay Bar and Restaurant. On the boat ride, you may see eagles, osprey, or manatees. The restaurant also has a souvenir shop for gift-buying (retail therapy).
The region hosts many festivals from monthly "Cruising' on Dearborn," which is a rolling car show to both the Englewood Fine Arts Festival and the Venice Fine Arts Festival. If shopping is one of your favorite pastimes, there are also numerous boutiques and restaurants on Dearborn Ave. and Venice Avenue in the downtown area. Get yourself a copy of Englewood Review, usually available at local stores like Publix, to find what is happening.
On the occasional rainy day, you can relax on the screened-in lanai, or you can travel 15 minutes by car to Frank's Galleria Movie Theater in South Venice, FL to catch a movie.
The Englewood/Venice area is the best kept secret on the Gulf of Mexico. Palm Manor is the perfect place to find your paradise.
