Welcome to Mountain Gem! This is a true mountain cabin that has been impeccably updated to provide all the modern comforts of home with that classic cabin feel! With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, there's plenty of room for family, friends and Fido (this cabin is pet friendly!) to enjoy a Sierra getaway. Curl up with a good book and watch the snow fall or grab your swimsuit and towel and head down to the lake - no matter the season, this cabin provides the perfect home base for your vacation. Set among the pines, you will appreciate the forested setting and park-like lot. Enter into the great room with wood accents throughout and cozy gas log stove. Adjacent is the dining area and fully stocked updated kitchen with breakfast bar and stainless steel appliances.The spacious deck is all set up completed with gas grill to enjoy memorable mountain meals in the fresh air. Enjoy access to Snowshoe Springs Lake, a private lake for neighborhood residents and guest. You’re also just a quick drive away from Big Trees State Park, Lake Alpine, Bear Valley Ski Resort, and downtown Murphys. Hike, bike, swim, ski, shop, dine and sip to your heart’s content on the scenic Highway 4 Corridor!

Mountain Gem accommodates 9 guests. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are on the main level, with a Queen bed in each. Bedroom 3 is located upstairs with 3 Twin beds. Bedroom 4 is also upstairs with a crib. There are 2 full bathrooms, one on each floor.

Amenities: Gas Log Stove, Gas BBQ (propane provided), Washer and Dryer.

Linens and towels provided. Maximum 9 guests No smoking, pets ok, no check-ins on Christmas Day or Easter Sunday.

Cabin was clean and comfortable. Fantastic space for kids and families. Play room for little kids was a fun space. Kitchen was well equipped and stocked with all the essentials. Looking forward to coming back again!

Perfect for our group

Loved the location. Easy walk to the quiet lake. Lake was wonderful..provided beach toys for the kids, chairs,and even a small kayak to paddle around the lake. House was clean, lots of kitchen supplies and a great layout for all of us to stretch out.

Perfect place for a family getaway

Our extended family had a wonderful stay. We cooked all of our meals, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Check in and check out was very smooth.

Nice House

Overall the house was well stocked and very nice. Only complaint was the twin bed in the playroom / 4th bedroom. It is more of a folded up mat than a bed (like a futon without a frame).

Well stocked kitchen for families.

The kitchen was well appointed for cooking for adult and children. Lots of pots pans and other essentials to make a great winter cabin experience plenty of parking. large hangout space for group. I did see on some other reviews that the second bedroom upstairs is described as having a double bed and it does not. The upstairs has one room with three twins. The fourth room is really just a playroom with a sleeping mat. Do not expect anyone to be sleeping in that fourth bedroom. We ended up making it work but less than ideal to advertise that there’s a bed in the room. The bedding is very minimal if you like blankets or comforters bring your own.

Inaccurate , dirty

The house is not as new and clean as pictured. Then linen had stains, large ones, the walls had random nails sticking out, and after one day poop water started coming up from the tub when we flushed….and it’s listed as 2 queen beds, 3twin bed and 1 double, in reality there was no double bed, it was mat on the floor….

We sent someone out as soon as we were informed by you the toilet had been clogged, and that clog bad enough to cause back up into the tub, and it was remedied. The listing states there is a full futon (not a double bed), which there is at the home. Again, sincerest apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced during your stay.

Not bad

The pictures definitely made the place looks bigger than it is; props to the photographer. The kitchen island along with the kitchen range was very nice. A shame that it was raining all day while we were there. The only thing I could see as an improvement is to provide more trash bags and more toilet paper. Other than that, I would return here next time.
