There is plenty of parking under the carport and to the left of the carport. Washer and dryer are located in basement of home. You must exit the home to access the basement and go down several stairs.
Cute house, very clean and had everything we needed. Location was great for our stay, large kitchen and dining room. The front bedroom was a little noisy from the strret traffic, but the back two bedrooms were quiet and comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Erin was very gracious in making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
Our family had a relaxing time while staying. The house was very clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for a fanily of 4 with 2 smaller kids. Some mention road noise, which there is a small amount due to location, but this did not bother us at all.
Overall this was a nice property and our stay was fine. You should know this house faces a very busy street and the road noise is loud. I should have researched the location better. The property manager was very responsive to my communications about some lock issues.
Les points faibles : Communication et emplacement
D-Lite House in April
The house was very clean and looked just like the pictures. Everything worked as it should. I had some minor issues I need to make the owner aware of and sent a message via the VRBO app. I did not get a response for 6 days. The property has an apartment complex just behind it and it sits on a VERY busy road. It is hard to tell from the pictures but the home is quite close to the road and there is significant traffic noise. In addition to the traffic noise there is a fire station on the same street so there were frequent sirens. The neighbors that are quite close have 2 dogs that bark for hours at night. No fault of the property owners, but I was there for work and sleep was difficult many nights due to the constant barking. The only other thing that was a little different was the washer and dryer were in the basement, however to access them you had to go out to the back of the house down a few steps and unlock a door to get to them. Overall it was fine, but I wasn't comfortable using the porch as it was facing a very busy street.
Simply charming house. Very clean. The owners provided all the starter items as well as snacks and bottled water. Notified owner we would be arriving late at night and they left lights on in the house for us which was much appreciated. There is a lot of road noise so if this might be an issue for your group you might think about bringing earplugs. Overall itâs a charming house.
The house is very charming, well cared for, and exceptionally clean. The kitchen has all the cookware and utensils needed. Erin has done an amazing job of decorating and making sure that everything is attractive and very comfortable. She is also very fast to respond to all communications.
On a side note: Another review mentions street noise... The house is located near a fairly busy street that quiets down in the evening but if you are a light sleeper, you may want to bring ear plugs in case you are staying in the front bedroom. I'm a fairly light sleeper and had no issue sleeping in one of the back bedrooms.
I needed a place to stay that would be clean and affordable for a business trip to Hickory. This house ended up being just right for my needs. Will likely use it again when I come back. My family and I often stay in short term rentals when we travel. This was as good as we have stayed in.
Beautiful home - awesome owners and/or property managers
The outside is not as pretty as the inside, but I knew it was going to be an older house from the pictures. I never care about what the outside of the house looks like, I only care about how nice and clean the inside of the house is. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well kept the inside of this house was. I appreciate having black towels and not just white to use. There were a lot of upgrades to the kitchen and bathroom. It was really nice having snacks, bottle waters and coffee for the guests. We arrived after dark, so we both really appreciated the owners/property managers leaving the porch light on for us, so we could see to enter in the lock code. We did not have any issues getting into the home or locking it when we left. The owner/property manager responded to texts right away, so I felt like if there were any issues with the house, they would make sure it was fixed quickly. The only disappointment I had was no icemaker in the freezer or ice trays to make our own ice, so we had to leave to go buy ice, but that was the only thing I disliked about this house. Maybe put some cheap, plastic ice trays in the freezer for future guests to use, just an idea. Now, I could have missed reading about this house not having an icemaker in the listing description. Overall, we had a great stay and if we ever need to return back to Newman again, I would love to rent this house and next time I will bring my own ice with me. Thanks again for a great stay.
