Relax in a fully updated 3 bedroom , 2 bath cottage in Highlands, NC. This beautiful cottage has a wonderful screen porch and expansive deck with a peek-a-boo ridge view. Enjoy the breeze rustling the leaves, watching the hummingbirds and hunting for white squirrels make fora peaceful setting. Unwind with renovated bathrooms, a beamed cathedral ceiling in great room with stacked stone fireplace & large screen smart TV. We are stocked with games, books and puzzles for great fun. A perfect relaxing getaway cottage.

Incredible Views

The condo was clean, well furnished, and very comfortable. Laura was so easy to work with and very responsive when we needed her. The best thing about the location is the incredible views. We were mesmerized by the tranquility and beauty. If available we would certainly return.

Incredible views

This was a perfect place to stay. Everything was clean, there was plenty of room and the kitchen was well stocked if you wanted to do any cooking.

Highlands retreat

Amazing property that around us to unwind. Proximity to town was ideal and the long range views are breathtaking. 10 out of 10. Will be back and will recommend to others.

Perfection

This was one of the best VRBO that I have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect! The VIEW was amazing!! Oh my!! The decor was elegant and the kitchen was fully stocked with any appliances, dishes or utensils that you could possibly want. Layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms were great! We loved the privacy as well - being on top of the mountain. Laura was so easy to communicate with as well. We had SUCH a great time and look forward to coming next year.

Amazing experience

This condo was perfect! Very well appointed and perfect location. We had everything we could possibly need (and then some)! The fireplace was cozy on long, rainy days and the space was perfect for a family. I cannot say enough positive things about this place; we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful place!

This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay! The view is exactly as it is pictured, and the condo is spacious , clean and quiet. It included all your basic amenities. Felt very secluded and private, yet located within mins of grocery store, restaurants and the scaly mountain screamer. Which was like a private roller coaster that you can control speed as you ride. My kids loved it! The only issue is you do have to go down 3 small flights of stairs, consisting of approximately 8 steps each to get in and out of the condo. And there were a few games, but nothing that really interested my kids. Ages 10 & 11. All things considered I would definitely go back here, I would just pack a lighter suitcase! …and a few of the kid’s favorite board games.

Mountain Getaway

You can't beat the views, been coming to Highlands for years and you won't find a more spectacular view anywhere! Nicely renovated, fantastic kitchen that's fully stocked with anything you need. High end furnishings and comfy beds.

A wonderful week

Everything exceeded our expectations. Communication with Hal was easy and prompt. We loved the views from the deck as well as the beauty of the surrounding neighborhood. It is so convenient to hiking trails and downtown restaurants and shopping. We hope to return soon!

Highlands Best Sunsets

The stay at VZ Top was great, the condo was modern and had everything we could need for our weeklong stay. Hal was very responsive to any communications we had with him. The outside deck is just a great place to look at the mountains and especially the sunsets. (An extra bonus was the flying squirrels.) This will be our new Highlands property to stay at whenever we are in town.
