Loved our stay at this well appointed home. Wonderful views, large wood burning fireplace, comfortable beds and linens made for a lovely stay in the mountains.
Our family had a wonderful visit in this well-appointed home between Highlands and Cashiers. Our hostess was wonderful and quick to respond to all of our requests. Will look forward to staying here again!
Property is well decorated and has everything you could need. Very comfortable accommodations for a group of 6 people. Equidistant between Highlands and Cashiers.
We loved our stay! What a lovely property. The owner is VERY responsive to any questions or concerns. Responses were almost immediate. The property was clean, spacious and was very nicely decorated throughout. Top of the line appliances in the kitchen, very well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, etc. for cooking and dining in. The screened in porch was a great place to sit with coffee, breakfast or a book. The location was great as well. It's right off the main road between Highlands and Cashiers: 5 minutes from Whiteside Mountain Trail,10 minutes to Highlands turning right out of the driveway and 15 minutes to Cashiers turning left out of the driveway. Ideal if you like to spend time in both areas. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.
Incredible location, close to both downtown Highlands but even closer to Cashiers. Lot's of restaurants around. Beautiful views. Easy to communicate with owner.
My husband and I came to stay with our senior dogs and absolutely loved this house. The location was great - close to both Cashiers and Highlands - and the view was gorgeous. The house was decorated beautifully and fully stocked of everything we needed. Annemarie was a great host and extremely fast in her responses if we had questions. We will absolutely book again!
The property was beautiful, peaceful, quiet and was very well decorated and had all of the amenities you could need. There were beautiful views in all directions from the porches. It was close to hiking trails, an awesome golf course, and Cashiers, another must see town. It was the highlight of our summer!
Beautifully appointed and u don't need to bring a thing to enjoy this cozy home for 2 couples and a pup perfect! We had full range of every amenity especially the main fireplace!
The location is perfectly situated and in addition to cooking meals at home the restaurants are amazing in the charming towns of Cashiers and Highlands
We loved our stay in Highlands. The home is centrally located, which makes it easy to get around. Being the mountains, the road is narrow and windy, but there are turnarounds before and after the driveway to make entry easy. Where my family stayed here, the home would be lovely for a few couples.
You cannot find a more beautiful view in Highlands. We have hiked Whiteside mountain many times and getting to wake up to that view in the morning was really special. The house is comfortable and beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed the screen porch. Host was easy to reach and kind. We would love to stay here again.
Anne Marie (the owner) was the quintessential perfect Southern hostess - she was so helpful with recommendations in the area, maps, and even supplied me with a few starter supplies (for which I was very thankful as I arrived after all the stores in the area had closed).
Great location - easy to get to either Highlands or Cashiers from her cabin. Would love to stay here again!
We really enjoyed our stay! Fully stocked house and excellent communication with owner especially considering terrible weather we had. We were surprised to see a cottage on the same property sharing our drive. Maybe we missed that when we booked!
Our family had a great stay at this house near Whiteside Mountain! It's location exactly between Cashiers and Highlands was ideal for exploring the gems of both areas, but it's access right off the main road limits walkability. The house in general is very private, and the bedrooms were super comfortable. The view from the living room is fantastic. Communication with the owner was proactive, responsive and comprehensive.
This beautiful and cozy home was located equally between Highlands and Cashiers. Beautiful furnishings with a fabulous fireplace inside and another one outside. Anne Marie, the owner, could not have been more helpful, both with anything related to her home, as well as, offered suggestions on dining out places, etc! When we arrived, the kitchen was well stocked, including coffee creamer, which was a nice surprise. Our week went by so quickly- cannot wait to return!!
Lovely well-appointed mountain home with everything you'll need for your stay. Enjoyed the wood burning fireplace while watching football surrounded by family in the comfortable living room and eating by the gas fireplace in the dining room. All bedding, linens, and bath towels were good quality and booster heaters in bedrooms were perfect for sleeping. Did I mention the gorgeous views? Can't wait to return in the summer months to enjoy the many seating options and outdoor fireplace. Thank you!
Annemarie's house is beautifully furnished and stocked for every possible household need. It's more like a well loved private home than a rental. The photos don't fully covey the amazing view and the location is superior. With the driveway on Hwy 64, there is day time traffic noise outside but not in the house and the trade off is the short 5 minute drive to Cashiers crossroads, less than 15 to Main St Highlands. Other houses can have similar mileage to town and take 20 minutes longer on winding secondary roads. Responsiveness from Annemarie also superior.
This home is conveniently located between Highlands and Cashiers, NC. (6 miles to Highlands and 4 miles to Cashiers) You can easily access Lake Glenville as well. Whiteside Mountain is approximately 1.5 miles away. The home is private sitting on 1.7 acres, yet not remote.
