We absolutely loved our stay here! Our immediate family of 5, my 74 year old dad, and my sister all had plenty of space in this beautiful home. Each day we walked either to town, the zoo, short sands or long sands beach. My 11 year old and I also walked to the Nubble as well. The proximity to everything while still staying in a quiet area was exactly what we were looking for. Mary was very responsive to any questions we had and extremely accommodating. There were so many items provided- including linens- which was so helpful. The option of A/C in two bedrooms was wonderful. We loved staying here and would absolutely stay here again in the future. If youâre looking for a place for a larger group (we had 7) that is close to everything, but still quiet- this might be for you! It was perfect.
This place was perfect for a family getaway to enjoy the coast of Maine. The central location on Cape Neddick was a close walk to the beaches, shops, playgrounds, and most important - FISHING. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the privacy and shade of the back deck. The house was spacious and clean.
We had a very enjoyable week for our summer vacation. The house was nicely decorated and very comfortable. With the front deck, back deck and many seating areas it gave us many options to relax and work when needed. We loved the quiet street and yet were very close to the bubble lighthouse, beaches and shops. It was a great location. Thank you!
Just minutes away from the bustling beach is Airport Drive on the Nubble. The road is a former privately owned airplane landing strip that was developed into a neighborhood starting in the 1960's. The street is closed loop with only a few extension roads that exit onto busier streets. Many children nine and up find it enjoyable to ride laps around the loop. You will find mostly modest sized homes well spaced apart on our street. Directly across from us is a small seasonal beach home with two landscaped empty lots on either side, which lessens noise and gives more privacy.
