NY Vacation

This cabin had a very rustic feel to it, both inside and out, which is what we were looking for. Yet it has modern updates and conveniences. We did a lot of scenic touring and hiking. It was a nice place to come back to every evening.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

Perfect location for a quite getaway. Everything was as advertised and we needed nothing as the house was well stocked! View of Whiteface was pretty special. Screened in porch made for great morning coffee and mid-afternoon book reading. Bedrooms were large and comfortable. Kitchen was more than adequate as we made dinner nearly every night for the 7 of us. Close proximity to Tops grocery store was a plus as was the proximity to Wilmington Beach which was beyond refreshing with a great view of nature as we swam and picnicked. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an Adirondack getaway!

Fall in the mountains

We all had a nice stay at this cabin in October 2023. Some of the cabin highlights were the awesome fireplace that worked great inside the cabin that was vented really well! We purchased a lot of wood from Stewart’s (a convenience store) and had a fire going every eve. Plenty of hot water, five of us showering every morning, plenty of towels, etc.., everything for the kitchen you would need, we cooked 4 nights out of the 7. All in all it was a fun trip and we all enjoyed ourselves very much!!

Great experience

If you are looking to be tucked in the mid of the Adirondacks, this is the place to stay! It was very quiet, deer in the front yard, propane grill worked flawlessly, and the view of the mountain is gorgeous. Had to flip all the light switches to figure out what controlled what but overall it was great. Allegra responded quickly to any questions we had.

My fiancé, Ryan, and I own and operate several real estate based businesses: a real estate brokerage, a property management company, and a real estate portfolio consisting of many multi-family homes, commercial buildings, student housing, and short term rentals. We both work full time in these businesses seven days/week, are local, and take great pride in improving the condition of our properties as well as in enhancing our guests' experiences in our residences. We are new to VRBO and can be as readily available as you would like. Guests can communicate with me via call, text, and/or email and can expect an immediate response. We are highly motivated to ensure your stay with us is a wonderful experience.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood in the Adirondack Mountains in a wooded community. The AuSable River is located across the street with direct access for guests. Lake Eaton is located in the community and provides an opportunity to swim, canoe, and/or kayak. 10 miles of hiking/cross country ski trails in the community. Guests will have access to viewing an array of wildlife to include deer, birds, chipmunks, fish, etc. The cabin is located approximately 13 miles from Whiteface Mtn., which is a prime location for downhill skiing, gondola riding, and mountain biking. The cabin is a short drive to the home of the 1932 & 1980 Winter Olympic Games (approximately 22 miles away), which boasts an array of year round activities and events. Did we mention we are located in the Adirondack Mountains where there is an abundance of hiking, rock climbing, and beautiful sites to see?!

Also nearby: Historic Jay Covered Bridge, Highlands Vineyard, Mace Chasm Butcher, Whiteface Memorial Highway, Jay Craft Center, High Falls Gorge, Santa's North Pole Workshop, North Country Creamery, Peru Farmer's Market, Rockwell Kent Studio, Asgard Farm and Dairy, Jay Rapids on the AuSable River Swimming Hole, AuSable Chasm, Lake Champlain, Wild Center, AuSable Brewing Company, Keene Farmer's Market, Saranac Lake, and many other local hotspots! Upon booking, your host will be happy to provide you with additional information.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Off street parking available at the property. Four cars or more are easily accommodated. Driveway area is flat, thus accessing the property and parking is a breeze year round. Large, flat lawn area for guests to utilize. Screened in porch to escape from any mosquitos. Deck set up for grilling and dining. Outdoor fire pit. Mason work fireplace inside the cabin. Lots of outdoor furniture; some lawn games provided.

Our home is located in a quiet, wooded area called the AuSable Acres. This community has some dirt roads; walking on the local roads is permitted, safe, and relatively common. As such, guests are encouraged to drive slowly; you may even be lucky enough to encounter deer! Walk out your door to access 10 miles of hiking/skiing trails right on site. Access to the AuSable River is a short walk from the cabin; the river is known for incredible fishing! Lake Eaton is located in the community the cabin is situated in and is a great spot for swimming, kayaking, and/or canoeing.

AuSable Acres is situated within the Adirondack Mountains; there is also an abundance of other trailheads nearby with great hiking and climbing opportunities. Lake Champlain as well as the course for the Ironman are close by. Guests are also permitted to utilize the community's pavilion, grill, playground, ball fields, volleyball court, basketball court, and tennis/pickleball court.
