Brand New 2nd Floor Condo - Ocean Views from Porch, Steps to Beach!
Newly listed and newly furnished second-floor beach block unit, steps from the beach and boardwalk! Three bedrooms with king, queen, and full bunk beds and two bathrooms. We get booked quickly each season so make your reservation today!
The house was clean. Beds and furniture were uncomfortable. Linens were not provided as stated. The location is excellent. No television service in the living room. There are approximately 35 steps to climb, as well as about 15 more to the upper level master bedroom. The house is not good for disabled or handicapped individuals. Communication with the renter was sparse.
We couldn't lock the front door nor the first floor balcony door. We found a wet bathing suit and a wet hair towel on the first floor balcony. Based on when we stopped by the house we can guess that it happened sometime Saturday afternoon/evening. It was during the heatwave so I would've assumed the bathing suit and towel would be dry if it was left behind by others previous to our stay. We also found some wet clothes in the washer. Second floor balcony had a chair that broke (from rust) when sat on.
Unfortunately, when we arrived at 415 PM the cleaners were not done. They exited the property at 5 PM. There were several broken items. (verticals/slats, screen slider and lock on LR slider, refrigerator under bar, leak under kitchen sink, missing Roku remote in one bedroom, no frying pan on premises, coffee maker too small for unit, living room furniture not uncomfortable.
We were very pleased with this property! And we enjoyed ourselves very much. We suspect, though, that the professional cleaning crew is not keeping the house stocked with essentials. There was no body soap, hand soap, shampoo. There were only 10 sheets of paper towels, no teaspoons (there were 6 soup spoons, though), no washcloths and hand towels, no bathmats. One of the king beds was uncomfortable - it sagged Also, we think that any beach hose should be equipped with beach towels and an umbrella. Other properties we have stayed at provided these.
The property was far from brand new. We experienced many disappointing issues, including a clogged kitchen sink with shrimp tails left in the broken garbage disposal. There were no bath mats, no kitchen towels, filthy and broken furniture, broken blinds, ants, a huge pile of trash outside the front door, no kitchen towels or pot holders, minimal paper products, broken outdoor furniture, and broken or no screens on doors and windows. Filthy mattress covers. Air conditioner didn't work for 1st 48 hours, very very poor communication from owner.
The lack of communication with the Host forced us to book another property in Ocean City and cancel our reservation. I was not able to get in contact with the Host through Text message, phone call or VRBO customer support. The day of our trip I reached out through all channels for check in information and got no response. I had to reach out to VRBO support and they got no response as well from the host. This in turn led me to have to book another property in Ocean City last minute. This communication level was very unprofessional and caused a lot of problems.
