You have one whole wing of the 4,000 sq foot house with a private bed, bathroom and huge den with 65 inch tv and gas logs. There is a nice view and it is very private. It is all separated by a door to the rest of house. You also can have kitchen privileges.
On areival the host was friendly and good about explaining the overall rules and where we would be sleeping ,restroom availability and and the local entertainment, eating places and the use of the hot tub. The dogs were friendly ,just barked when going from room to room . Just no way of cleaning up your dishes and no microwave to heat up anything .Good service overall
Cindy makes you feel very much at home. She is a wealth of information of places to visit and things to do. She is very gracious and generous. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again soon.
This is not your typical VRBO. Cindy welcomes you into her home. You have a bedroom, bathroom and family room. Cindy is a fantastic host. She helped us learn about places to visit and made lots of suggestions. She allowed us to use her kitchen and shared her animals with us. She was excited to hear all about our adventures when we returned. One night we returned from an event after midnight. She was still waiting up for us.We felt like family from the moment we arrived.
Staying here was like visiting my favorite great aunt in the mountains lol. Cindy was so kind and hospitable, and even invited us to have dinner with her and friends from the neighborhood. Her dogs were always so excited to see us and her horses will come right up to you as well. Cindy knew all the great places to see waterfalls and to find good food. This is a great option if you're needing a comfortable bed to fall into after a long day hiking and exploring!
Within minutes to popular hiking trails and waterfalls, Cindy is a premier hostess.
Want to be close to nature and experience true hospitality? Look no further.
As an animal lover and a lover of being in the woods, I was attracted to this locale and enjoyed it very much. I felt very at home. Gone much of the day and enjoyed the company at night.
We didn't stay. We left. There is nothing private about this property. Owner walks in and out at leisure and the glass doors to "her living quarters" offers zero privacy!
Cindy is the best host! The room is clean and cozy, quiet and safe. During our stay, Cindy introduced us all the waterfalls and fine things to do around, and even planned for us based on our next station. We got chance to pet the friendly dogs and horses, highly recommended and we would come back for longer vacation next time!
I didn't realize the homeowner was going to be there during our stay. I felt like a part time roommate. Ads for VRBO say thats not supposed to be that way
She was the best host, even fixed super and breakfast. The property was beautiful. Horses, cat, dog
I will definitely return. I loved her house great location, everything was central. Was on a business trip; she really made you feel welcomed. I loved it there. Will be our place to stay back and forth traveling.
Cindy was very welcoming! She was very knowledgeable of the trails and able to give good advice for specific trails. An added bonus was she knew where we were going and when to expect us back, so if anything happened she knew where to look. The animals were expected and very friendly, we even got to feed the horses. We will definitely return and recommend this host for our cycling adventures!
I want to start off by saying the host was very nice. However the listing is not accurate
The one bed room one bath house is actually a part of the house the host lives in. Was not private in my opinion. It felt as though we were intruding if we went beyond our bedroom and bathroom. The host also failed to inform in the listing of the pets on the property A cat and a dog. Both of which had free reign to that specific area of the house. So had one of been allergic could have been pretty bad. We were woken up by the cat at 4 am crying at our door. The doors to the home were kept open for the animals so I did not feel as though belongings were safe.
The host also did not tell us how to turn on the hot water prior or after check in. We took cold miserable showers. The garage across from our room had piles of compost and the smell was very off putting. The bed was hard as a rock and in no way comfortable.
We checked out early and luckily found a hotel with one vacancy near by.
The listing should be changed to be more accurate.
It is very restful here on my ridge clam and peaceful. You are 45 minutes to Asheville Which has botanical gardens and the Biltmore house gardens and winery. Lots of Antique and art galleries. The Tobacco barn is the size of a foot ball field full of antiques. You can go listen to music 4 nights a week all with in 1-4 miles. You can also go into Brevard Hendersonville and Asheville to listen to live music almost any night of the week. The blue ridge parkway is 40 minutes and you can go to Cherokee to see the elk and the casino. There is very good trout fishing with stocked creeks and lakes. There is Sierra Nevada Brewery 25 minutes away. There are about 12 breweryâs within 10 -25 minutes. There are numerous wineries with live music. There are various Cider houses and places to drink hard flavored ciders and listen to music. There are over 250 waterfalls in this county some you can drive right up too.
