House was very clean. Jennifer paid close attention to many details. She was always available to answer any questions. Nice touch with the welcome sign.
Rustic lodging at its best without the distractions of fellow tourists and traffic! And youâll find plenty to do, whether shopping and dining in downtown Brevard or hiking to one of the many waterfalls nearby! Just the right place to get away from it all!
A quiet neighborhood to walk in. The tiny cabin had everything we needed. Nice water pressure in the shower toođ. We enjoyed the fire pit both nights. Thanks!
The Little House is the perfect location for all the hiking trails, kayaking, and waterfall adventures you could ever wish for. Definitely coming back!
This place was amazing. Away from everyone and everything. It was our little get away and we would love to come back one day. Thank you for everything!
Great location with access to so many hiking trails and great fishing on the East Fork of the French Broad. Jessica was a very accommodating host and always available if needed. Had a great time!
This was the perfect destination for a getaway. There are tons of trails around, if youre into hiking, but also nice seating areas on the property if you want to enjoy the outdoors and stay stil.
It was just enough space, and had everything I needed. Tbh, the pictures really dont do it justice!
Will certainly be ba k.
This was a very well done little house. It is good for a weekend but tight for much longer.
The owners are lovely and this little house is well made. It is tight but we spent most of our time out of the house. We had an issue and Jessica handled it immediately. For a couple on a weekend get away it would be nice. It is about 15 minutes from town.
The Little House on the Pond was an oasis. It is secluded and quiet and we felt safe in the area. Everything was clean and the property was well maintained.
The water level was low in the pond so we expected the mosquitoes to be crazy but they were not. We sat in the swing on the porch each night reading, talking about our day or just watching the fish and a couple of turtles.
A most enjoyable stay.
My wife and I wanted a quiet place in the country near Brevard to enjoy all western NC has to offer. This little house was perfect and met all our needs. My wifeâs only complaint: sometimes the frogs were a bit too loud, and a rainstorm woke her up! (Thatâs a joke.)
One of my daughters and I took this little getaway together. The Little House was perfect for our stay. It was tucked back off this quaint gravel road right on its own little pond. The wildlife noises at night and in the mornings were amazing. We got to see deer come drink from the pond in the early mornings while also getting to watch a family of ducks and also geese enjoy the pond. The Little House had everything we needed and the size was perfect. Also, Jessica was wonderful! My daughter and I were trying to find the best fishing spots and Jessica and her husband were so gracious to take time to chat with us to give us the rundown on our options. The checkin process and check out process were super easy and convenient. We will definitely be looking to come back again!
This is the cutest little house! We wanted a quiet, out of the way place to recharge and this was perfect. We were a little bummed that the pond was so low so we couldn't take the paddleboat out, but that couldn't be helped, just the nature of the weather. It rained while we were there so we just sat on the swing and watched the rain on the pond. For hours. So peaceful. We loved and it would definitely go back!
The house is small but very very nice. Neat little eat in kitchen with all the needed utensils. Very cool super comfy bedroom. Bathroom is updated and the hot water is great! Loved the porch. Didnt use the washroom. We were only there 2 nights. Loved the surrounding area. So jealous of the folks that get to live there year-round! Property owner was very gracious and informative. Everything you need to feel comfortable and enjoy your stay was supplied with the property. Loved the stay. I definitely recommend The Little House and I look forward to going there again!
Les points faibles : Emplacement et exactitude de lâannonce
False advertising for the pond in the ad.
The photos and description of the pond is false. There was hardly any water in the pond, more like a mud puddle. The water is NOT up the the dock shown in the picture, you have to go 15 to 20 feet out from the dock to where the water starts. The water is probably no more the 2 feet deep in the center. You have several feet of mud before you get to the water and green muck growing along the edge. Our stay was at the end of July, maybe there is more water in springtime but from the weeds growing along the edges the water has been low for some time. The place is small as advertised but was thinking would not spend much time inside anyway, we would sit out on the dock put tubes in the pond, maybe go for a swim. It wasn't even appealing to sit out and look at the mud puddle. We found other places and things to do during our stay. Would never rent this place again. Not sure I would go even if it was free.
We worked on this little house for at least 3 years and finished it in January 2020, while raising children and working full time. We have added unique touches and enjoyed the journey. Hope you make your own memories and keep coming back.
My family is from here, my husband was born and raised across the pond. I was raised in Balsam Grove. We feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to have grown up here and now get to raise our family here too.
You're welcome to use our Paddle boat, as long as you put it back. There are some life jackets and pond towels in the laundry room. Dupont, Pisgah national Forest, and the East Fork River are not far away to enjoy biking, hiking, and fishing.
