Sweet Seclusion: Breathtaking, Secluded Cabin only 2 miles from the Parkway of Pigeon Forge
This quaint 1 bedroom cabin is located in Pigeon Forge about 2 miles off of the main parkway. It has a king loft bedroom, downstairs living room and dining room combination with a full kitchen and large wood burning fireplace. There is a full bath and a washer and dryer on this level also. If you are looking for seclusion and still be within easy distance to Pigeon Forge and 5 miles from Gatlinburg check this cabin out. It has a screened in front porch with hot tub and outside television for relaxing or a second deck on the back of the cabin to give you the views and calmness you need.
Who's idea was it to have blinds in every window but that one!? LOL overall the cabin was nice, definitely secluded and thats kinda what we were looking for! Someone left a review saying the tub didnt drain and the hot tub was dirty but all was fixed by the time we used it! Plenty of televisions too! Overall it was a nice place to stay!
The cabin was great. The only thing that needed attention was the hot tub was dirty and the bathtub would not drain. I called and requested a work order for the tub, but it didnt get fixed.
While it was indeed a very cute cabin and very nice seclude space, there were a couple of issues we had. First, the gravel road leading up to it was very steep which wasn't an issue except that the last 200ft stretch was so filled with potholes that we almost didn't make it up. And the second, the noises the cabin makes at night are quite creepy. It Ranged from creaking to the stairs sounding like someone was walking up in the middle of the night. So, at times it was a bit difficult to sleep.
This cabin is in an awesome location, however the driveway is absolutely ridiculous. I was very unhappy driving my $150K mercedes up this gravel driveway spinning all the way and having overhanging tree limbs scratching the sides of my car. In our 1.5 day stay i killed 3 roaches and almost stepped barefoot on a scorpion in the kitchen. Also the bathroom being on the first floor and the bedroom being upstairs was very inconvenient. Other than these issues our stay was good. I would however not recommend this particular cabin to anyone until the issues are corrected.
The location is great! In Pigeon Forge within 5 minutes. The gravel driveway becomes very steep halfway to the cabin so be prepared. Especially in a smaller car.
The cabin is secluded by trees all around. It was very nice sitting out on the screened in porch in privacy. The cabin does make a lot of creaking and popping sounds. It was hard to sleep at night due to it, even with fans running. Iâm sure this is normal with a Log cabin and the rise and fall of temps throughout the day. Im glad there was a broom a available because whoever stayed at the cabin before us clipped their nails on the porch and they were everywhere. So disgusting. I know the custodian has a lot on their list to check off at every cabin, but shocked that the porch had not been swept.
