Great spot for a get away

River house is truly a great spot. Large clean welcoming and surrounded by tress. There plenty of space to spread out and we loved using the ping pong table! Great location to go to St Mary’s or not far from St Simon’s beach.Our host was so ready to take care of every need and was quickly responsive!I would highly recommend her house

Spacious Home on River

Beautiful setting on the river only 1 mile of Rt 95. Very peaceful. Large updated home with spacious bedrooms. Back yard and dock could use some attention though. Amazing potential.

Excellent Stay

I LOVE the location of this home. When traveling My Family always like to stay together and this home offers that and then some. The Host always have cookies that my Grands love. There’s no guess work involved on the expectation and how to move around the property. Experience is A-1.

Family stay for son's Wedding

It was a great stay. Our adult kids with their families and us all together. Plenty of room and fun for all. Host were wonderful and attentive. We would definitely recommend this property and stay here again.

Okefenokee Yacht Club

Several members of the Carrollton High School Class of 1966 get together this time of year for four to five days usually on a camping/canoeing trip somewhere in South Georgia. This year we changed it to glamping after our camping trip to Cumberland Island did not work out. The River House was a good choice as a replacement with its fire pit, dock, porches and accommodations

Excellent Stay!

This was a wonderful place to stay, very quiet neighborhood, easy to get to, and everything was as advertised. This is close to so many things around, and there was plenty of stuff to do. There is a lot of room, a lot of very unique areas that added to the experience of the stay. Would definitely recommend.

Loved this house.

Clean and very accommodating. We had our wedding in the back yard and it was amazing. They owners were very nice and quick to respond. Definitely recommend.

A Great Escape

This home is very clean, spacious, and family friendly. Our ages ranged from 2 to 47, and all were comfortable and entertained. The home is located on the most serene and beautiful marsh. It was a great escape from busy town life!

A great home away from home!

This place was amazing and was such a perfect spot for my groomsmen, myself, and all of their significant others to be able to hang out comfortably and have a good time. Thank you so much to the property owners for being so available to us if there was anything we needed communication was incredible. My wife and I will 100% be renting at this property again.

Beautiful Setting

Celebrating my Mother in Law 80th Birthday then went to the ferry at St Mary! Plenty of room for 10 adults and we enjoyed the fresh baked cookies, view of the dock, master suite, fire pit and the room to park. Such a serene enchanting setting we even had an engagement happen!

Perfect

I was thrilled to find this property exceeding all expectations. The home is beautiful, exceptionally clean, with many thoughtful extras like the homemade cookies. We loved the sitting area upstairs, drinking coffee and listening to the birds. We will definitely be back.

Womens hiking group

This house was perfect for our group. We loved all the space, the location on the river/marsh area and proximity to Cumberland Island Ferry in St. Marys. It was also convenient to Okefenokee Canoeing and a great place for us to stage our camping adventure Cumberland Island. Also, only about 25 minute drive to Fernandina. Only suggestion we might have is to add chairs to the dock. We would definitely stay here again.

Exceeded our expectations

We were blown away by the attention to detail. The home was beautiful and clean. The kids had fun fishing from the dock and catching crabs. The fire pit was nice. Spacious yard with all the room needed for a family fun weekend. The owners even offered for us to stay for a late check out. We had a great time here and will be back!

Nice setting, but needs more basics

Our group of eight people slept comfortably and the house was very clean. However, we did not have enough kitchen and dining supplies to meet our needs.

Fun riverfront home

House was great. 2 bathrooms on the first floor and one bathroom on the 2nd floor. Dock was great for fishing when the tide was right. Lighting on the dock steps would be helpful. Back pirch with windows was a great option for eating meals. House is very close to St Marys which is great for exploring and taking the ferry to Cumberland Island.

Awesome house and home owners! STAY HERE

If I could leave a 10 star review I would do it! When we arrived. The home owner had cookies for us! I’ve stayed at a bunch of houses on vrbo and this one doesn’t even come close to how amazing the whole process has been! The owners are very very nice and very friendly! They have treated us like family! I super recommend everyone that is in the area to come and stay here. You won’t be disappointed! Thank you guys so much!
