1-Bed w/Private Entrance, quarters attached to main house, 10 Min from Downtown!
Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. It will give you a great place to lay your head while being near Downtown and just a couple miles from the heart of Bishop Arts District. Enter from our private guest entrance in the back and enjoy the backyard and patio, as well as access to washer & dryer. Private guest quarters is attached to main house, but remains solely yours during your stay.
Please note: The guest suite is attached to the main house with access through the backyard. There is a thin interior door between our kitchen and your walkway space, so occasional noise (such as voices or conversation) may be heard from both sides. We also have a friendly dog who may bark when guests arrive, but we do our best to keep her quiet and ensure a peaceful stay.
My fiance and I stayed here when we were going to a concert at the Kessler Theatre! It was exactly like the pictures and was perfect for us. Check in was great (the hosts allowed us to have a late check out as well!) and the suite had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again if weâre in the area!
This place was a fine spot. Only had trouble with the door lock at first, but it wasnât too hard to open. Aside from that, the door was a slight struggle closing/opening, but overall the place was nice and I enjoyed my stay. It was quiet and the hosts were not at all disruptive or intrusive. They kept to themselves.
DO NOT STAY at this property. There is not a lock on the door to the room advertised. This is an unsafe neighborhood. There was knocking on my door in the middle of the night. I was terrified and felt unsafe. I asked the host for a lock to the door but was denied. VRBO did not accommodate in canceling this reservation. VRBO does not have a policy for helping renters in unsafe living conditions.
The welcome package sent by the owner clearly stated check-in was at 3 PM (I have the document and photos). The unit wasn't cleaned. The owner claimed check-in was at 5. Well, the unit wasn't cleaned at 5, either.
It was so disgusting and the co-owners so clueless and rude I had to leave.
Stay away. Dallas is a great city, and you can find countless other good options.
Overall it was a decent stay. The only downfalls were no hot water, the neighborhood was a little concerning, and there was also music blasting all throughout the night. Wouldnât stay here again for the price, and also Iâd suggest to bring your own pillows.
We liked the room but would have preferred a TV or maybe a small table to place our food. Thank you allowing us to use your accommodation, it was cute.
Great hosts! Maggie response time was impeccable! By no means a critique- just a friendly suggestion- consider adding a shower curtain or extending glass panel.
Located in the historic Oak Cliff neighborhood, this one bedroom duplex puts you less than a 15 minute drive from the downtown Dallas arts and entertainment district. If your interests are museums, galleries, dining or entertainment, this is the place to stay. I always felt safe and had zero concern about parking my car on the street.
The bed is firm, yet comfortable and comes with your choice of firm or soft pillows. The shower has a nice adjustable spray and a detachable hand held wand.
Most importantly, Maggie was a delightful and informative host. She immediately responded and answered all of my questions. Even at 11:30p. She went out of her way to ensure that I was comfortable and had everything I might need. The next time I travel to Dallas, I would defiantly consider staying here, instead of a hotel.
We were in town to visit friends. The room had all the essentials, toiletries, warm blankets, and my boyfriends favorite, the fan that was left in there. The bed and pillows were super comfy & despite the heat it was well ventilated and cool. Parking was easy since itâs in a residential. Only 15-20 from downtown Dallas. Itâs the perfect stay for someone traveling solo or as a couple, would recommend!
